I heard a rumor around 4:15 my time, which is EST.

Qyoo 08-01-2011 06:10 AM

Ffffffffff, I'm FlameWild36.

I hope that they stagger the amount of entrants per time zone, otherwise it's kind of unfair for people outside England, isn't it? They re-open registration at midnight for each time zone, so that means if they don't limit the amount of people per time zone, people on like, the West Coast of the United States don't have much of a chance.

And I know they have to be re-opening at midnight, because I checked at what would've been midnight, England, and it still said "Day 1 is closed".

Also, I keep forgetting to try at midnight. xD

I have one friend that made it in, though, so at least I know it's possible.

Qyoo 08-01-2011 10:21 AM

All I know is that I got called by my friend at 5 in the morning and still had a good hour to register, which is an hour later than day 1.

johnny 08-01-2011 10:25 AM

So is the registration time random or something?

How do I know when to try it?

I do hope I don't have to stay up until five in the morning to get it. D:

Qyoo 08-01-2011 10:34 AM

Usually they wait until it's midnight everywhere to release the clue.
So depending on what your time zone is, yes. D8
I don't know exactly what time the clue was released today, but if the hour delay pattern keeps going, it should be later and later.

johnny 08-01-2011 10:41 AM

My time zone is EST.

So is yours, apparently, so I have no idea why you got it at 5 AM. We're five hours behind England, not ahead.

I can't wrap my brain around what time to expect. :/

Qyoo 08-01-2011 10:46 AM

I suggest stalking "pottermore" tags on Tumblr or twitter, it's really helpful. O:

johnny 08-01-2011 10:57 AM

Maybe I'll do that.

Apparently I also have to have the book that corresponds with the release day, too? I have all the books, so that's no problem, but I'm wondering if I should have it ready or not...

Qyoo 08-01-2011 10:59 AM

It might be good to give it a nice skim and take note of any details that you think might be important.
O:
Day 2's clue had to do with cancelling a quidditch match and what chapter that was in, so just take every detail in. XD

johnny 08-01-2011 11:02 AM

Crap, I wish I'd gotten the chance to register on Day One.

I practically have Sorcerer's Stone memorized. :c

I kind of feel sorry for the people who want to try on the days associated with the larger books. That's a lot of skimming for them to do. xD

Taki 08-01-2011 03:24 PM

CONGRATS FOR MAKING IN IT~ and good luck johnny. x3 !!

Qyoo 08-01-2011 08:14 PM

Thanks Taki! C: And yes, good luck Johnny.~

Rem 08-02-2011 01:56 AM

The first night I was totally online when the clue went live
But I didn't know about it
I was dicking around on youtube when I could have just clicked over and got it xD

The second night?
I worked 5am-1pm and it hadn't gone live by the time I had to leave
So
I missed it

this third night?
I AM STAYING UP LITERALLY CAMPING ON THE WEBSITE
xDDD

what sucks is this 3rd clue is about the book I didn't actually read lmao

I heard the first night it stayed open for an hour before registration closed
then the second night it stayed opne for fifteen minutes before registration closed

Tonight it'll be like

five minutes
I'm all antsy pantsy

Ashy 08-02-2011 04:37 AM

it comes up at 6pm my time, so half an hour ago

johnny 08-02-2011 09:39 AM

I missed it. :C

When I'm asleep, I get sort of single-minded in my desire to stay asleep, so in my addled state I was just like, "Getting up at five AM? Not worth it. -snooooore.-"

But I've actually set my alarm this time. I only hope that registration stays open long enough for me to get in. Hopefully Goblet of Fire being a bigger book will slow people down a bit while they browse and search for the clue answer.
