Ah. Most people from what I hear never have any idea what they want to do at university or after. I like the environment though. I'd be going for a couple of masters degrees and maybe a PH.D if I could afford it. :)

Looks like you've got a lot of work ahead of you, Espy! I wish you mucho luck! Sorry about the dickheads at your school. I got in-house suspension for three days one time because I threw gum in some girl's hair who was giving me a hard time. She told the teacher I was copying her paper and of course the teacher believed the sports freak, so the teacher failed me. So I got pissed and threw the gum in her hair. I got a talking-to from her perverted sports coach on how disgusting it was of me to throw gum in someone's hair and was telling me about how "jealousy" can affect one's behavior. Load of shit. Yeah, he didn't understand. He was probably a jock in school and got everything handed to him by his parents.

I was in zoology, and thought I knew what I wanted, then got beat to hell and back by organic chemistry three years running. I figure if I can't pass a basic course for the degree it's probably not for me.

I was suuuuuuch a nerd, I only ever got detention once, in middle school, for chewing gum in class. Yep, rebel.

I'm not even sure about college.. I would have loved to go except I have no money to go. All of these teachers feed bullshit like "Don't worry about the cost! That's why there are student loans and financial aid!" Yeah, but I don't want to be so far in the shitter when it comes to finances before I can even make a living with a degree.

If you don't want to get a loan see if you can get a scholarship or one of those work places that pays for your education

Even if you do get loans as long as you manage them right you'll not be too far into debt. And depending on what job you get your loans can even be 'forgiven' and nulled out.

Ginger 09-19-2011 07:16 PM

ooo this is valuable information! *u*

Fey 09-19-2011 07:18 PM

yep, a friend has a non-profit job(the company's non-profit, not his actual position LOL) and because of that if he stays with teh company for...five? years his loans'll be forgiven.

and what's the goal of the paper then? I mean, we're all here and obviously willing to yammer at you for ideas.

Ginger 09-19-2011 07:20 PM

That's way cool ^^ I will keep that in mind!

-yammer yammer yammer-

I do have a list made up by our class...Have you read Camus's The Stranger?

Fey 09-19-2011 07:24 PM

I have not, I'm not as literate within 'classical' or 'new classical' literature...I suppose I should change that, but I'm too lazy

Ginger 09-19-2011 07:24 PM

I love it too ^^ What is your favorite dish to cook and what is your favorite dish to eat?

DarkForbidden-Love 09-19-2011 07:25 PM

I can think of at least two books called "The Stranger" by a Camus. What the guys full name?

Espy 09-19-2011 07:27 PM

Albert Camus, the main character is Meursault.
