But they ended it(sorry if this is spoilerish for some), all of it. I mean, yeah, there could be some 'maybe he's NOT dead' or 'Bumi may light the air temple on fire'(which I would totally watch), but all in all this was a self contained thing. In twelve rushed, badly layed out(IMO), episodes.

Don' get me wrong, I'll watch the next season(s) but I am not OMG I LUV THIS SERIES ON IT'S OWN MERIT. Except Lin, Lin I <3 you, keep being a BAMF.

Well an easy way to explain a second season is this, The Legend of Korra's story is based off of the Cold War. Communists vs. Patriots/Capitalists. AKA Equalists vs. Benders. The war ended, but what happens after war? People are left with their beliefs. Amon may be gone but that doesn't mean people will magically change their minds about bending. So in short there will still be Equalist activity. Peoples bending will be restored, and their is still mysteries to unravel.

And off book 2 for a minute. Has anyone else realized? WHY ISN'T KATAARA DEAD!? She was supposed to die after her 3rd born grandchild in her sleep. And so far her 4th grandchild Rohan is born and she isn't dead yet.. Well it took 80 years.. BUT MADAM WUU WAS WRONG >D

Tiva 06-24-2012 11:14 PM

Shhhhhhh I don't want Katara to die! *hits Illu*

whitexsuicide 06-24-2012 11:18 PM

I don't want her to die either. O.O

Fey 06-24-2012 11:36 PM

uhm, does no one else realize that madam wu wasn't really able to tell the future? She was making stuff up. So my question is 'why isn't katara dead if she was easily older than aang??' I mean...wtf, unless I missed aang going out in a blaze of glory over something.... Not gonna lie, retained little of this series cause, well, not as good as the parent series.

whitexsuicide 06-24-2012 11:44 PM

well i think she just out lived Aang... i mean there would be no reason that they have shown us yet that he died... unless i am forgetting something.

Tiva 06-24-2012 11:54 PM

Water Benders live to a higher age due to the fact that they can self heal unconsciously? IDK but it isn't uncommon for women to outlive men.

whitexsuicide 06-25-2012 12:26 AM

i just thought she did it because she was strong. I mean she only outlived Aang for how many years? 17? is that how old Korra is?

Crystallyn Whisper 06-25-2012 12:51 AM

Oops... guess we got a bit too excited. > w>;

I was kind of disappointed that the chi blocking theory didn't work. :< I'm just confused how blood bending works like that.

whitexsuicide 06-25-2012 12:55 AM

I think It cuts off the connections in the brain. Like nero connections. that is what i thought

Illusion 06-25-2012 01:07 AM

Actually no Aang died early (Surprisingly..) Because of him living 100 years in a iceberg took a toll on his body.
I think they mentioned it in episode 1 of The Legend of Korra. If not I read it from interviews with the creators of Avatar.

whitexsuicide 06-25-2012 01:28 AM

well that WOULD make sense... why did none of us think of that earlier? >w<

katyasha 06-25-2012 03:12 PM

I missed the season finally but lucky some posted it on youtube and well I can't wait for Book 2 to come out. I mean that was so cool.

whitexsuicide 06-25-2012 08:07 PM

I liked it as well, do wish they saved the last 3 minutes of it for season two though...

ShaylaSakura 06-25-2012 08:13 PM

I loved the ending of season 1. ^_^

whitexsuicide 06-26-2012 01:46 AM

It was good but i feel like they didn't have to rush through it like they did

Illusion 06-26-2012 05:01 PM

I kind wished they didn't rushed it in the end, and ended the season with Korra losing her bending *except for her airbending*. It would had been more interesting that way.
