I was thinking more like milk and eggs, and make my own cheeses from home. I don't think I'd be slaughtering livestock for food, unless the animal was in some kind of suffering and I couldn't afford the vet bill or something. Then I'd be more tempted to put it out of its misery and put food on the table.

Oh for sure. I'd have to do quite a bit of research before actually becoming a farmer.

and save up a whole lot of money XD it would cost sooooo much money just to get the materials and even more to support yourself if you dont want to have to have a job while you do it

It'd be much easier if there was a small group of maybe 4 people living in the same household. Maybe if all 4 held steady part-time jobs and each dedicated about 2 hours a day maintaining the farm.

not sure, that would be four highly educated people all willing to work towards an unrefined goal of being farmers without even the security of being self-sustained

2 hours wouldn't do much in the way of running a farm that has livestock as well as crops. 8 hours might put in just below the minimum amount of work.
