Den 11-05-2015 07:00 AM

This may just be my sleep deprived brain seeing patterns where there are none, but it seems fishy to me that all of the people who were present at the start of the evening were all prescribed laudanum...

Lawtan 11-05-2015 08:08 AM

Except Gunther, yes.

ml1201 11-05-2015 09:11 AM

And Den asked an important question! Yay! XD

Salone 11-05-2015 06:16 PM

Hey guys, sorry for the delay. Work had me pull a double and then open the next day. Will be off in the next two hours and will update all questions then!

Den 11-05-2015 07:10 PM

Remember, I still have a question for this round I can ask... Depending on how things go, that'll affect who I ask next and what question I ask.

You actually have...*checks* 4 left. Everyone gets 3 questions per round, no matter when they came in, so you have 4 of 6 left! I think time for the next chapter is drawing near...

ml1201 11-05-2015 10:44 PM

Let's see, we know Tavish stands to gain the most from the deaths. However Bonsey has been acting strange, making a scene about he medicine used for the murder when basically the whole town uses the stuff. Not to mention Gunther had been looking into his past. He did have the chance to kill both victims, and in regards to Mrs. Tavish he could have thought she knew something about him. I know Salone said we could solve it now but I'm not that smart. ^^;

Believe me, it would take a stroke of some accidental genius to get all of it, some spiffy detective work to get it the major bits right, and downright cheating most likely to be able to say all of the who and why.

Den 11-07-2015 01:58 AM

Hmmm, well, now I'm kinda suspicious. Seems to me the good lady Molatto is avoiding answering the question I'd asked...

ml1201 11-07-2015 08:57 AM

One reason I could think of is because she honestly doesn't know, or she knows and is afraid of someone else knowing what she knows. Either way the second one would mean she's scared, and if she's scared about Bonsey's past she must also be scared of him and possibly for good reason.

Salone 11-07-2015 07:26 PM

Chapter 4 will be up tonight, along with the audible narrations of both 3 and 4. Along with that, everyone will have 3 new questions they can ask! Hehehe. I think it's time we put a little twist in to this plot...

Den 11-07-2015 11:03 PM

...Well, dangit. DARN YOU, SALONE!

Mwahahaha! Thoughts? Opinions?

ml1201 11-07-2015 11:22 PM

Clever, but now that leaves us with mostly Tavish and partially the butler as the culprits. But why would Molatto be a target I wonder. Maybe she questioned someone she shouldn't have between the first two murders?

Lawtan 11-07-2015 11:54 PM

Isabella was rumored to be an employee of Tavish's at one time (being a mercenary and all).
Alternatively, the account could be unreliable - Bosney may not be mentally sane.

I had thought Isabella was going to be the murderer since the beginning, to be honest. She didn't fit in. Now she's dead...

CupcakeDolly 11-08-2015 12:07 AM

Given what was revealed in the last chapter, we should all make a concerted effort to ask the remaining male characters how old they are.

Haha! I can assure you that the person you're thinking of is not present. I just wanted to...(actual spoiler if you haven't read Chapter 4)

Hero 11-08-2015 12:17 AM

I'm late but I'm finally caught up with the plot and I'm so curious what's going to happen next.
Is it possible that the murderer is an uninvited guest?
dun dun dun

Welcome to the mystery! I can confirm that the killer is one of the surviving members. And Hero, you actually can asks the guests questions if you like to help determine the killer! Check out the Interrogation thread for more info.

Illusion 11-08-2015 03:39 PM

Molatto was the one person I trusted completely and poof they died.

But considering she died, I can completely trust Alabaster. It has to be Dervy.

Damn! I was hoping this would turn into a cheesy soap opera.

Hero 11-08-2015 11:52 PM

Oh gosh I was hoping that took Cupcake

I'll be sure to add questions once I catch up on whats already been asked
x___x

ml1201 11-09-2015 07:16 PM

Waiting to see the answer to some of the questions. XD

I'm sorry! Didn't realize I had missed Cupcake's last question. Should now be updated and all accounted for!

ml1201 11-09-2015 10:42 PM

lol, I think you mean now instead of not. :P

Pffft I'm just a mess. Corrected! I think you guys are dangerously close to solving this! Don't let the killer get away!

Lawtan 11-10-2015 06:57 AM

As a side note, still sad about Isabella...twas my favorite character. Long live the unstable mercenary!

(may be tired/in pain enough to be akin to drunk/loopy, so...ignore)

CupcakeDolly 11-10-2015 08:49 PM

Due to my unfair advantage of being friends with the author (and his incessantly dropping hints for me) I already know who the killer is, so I'm not going to make an accusation unless nobody else gets it by the deadline. =P

Also, Isabelle apparently still manages to be badass, even in death.

Den 11-10-2015 08:59 PM

I have my suspicions and I also have a bad feeling about said suspicions...

Salone 11-10-2015 09:02 PM

Well, there's no penalty for a wrong accusation, and you can make multiples. Nothing to hold you back Auto, go for it!

Den 11-10-2015 11:28 PM

yeah, but I don't want to make an accusation 'til I'm absolutely certain, and the murderer offed my prime suspect...

Illusion 11-11-2015 02:53 PM

The Murderer: Dervy Tavish

How they did it: Using the back channels/walls and slowly killed guests one by one.

Why: MONEY

(I'm not good at this....)

ml1201 11-11-2015 03:12 PM

I have to agree with Illusion, I've been suspecting him this entire time.

Den 11-11-2015 08:54 PM

The Murderer: Lady Scrimshaw

How they did it: She slipped the laudanum into Lord Long-Name's meal when her servant was working on something else, she slipped into the service halls and caught Giselle unawares, and then used the service halls to come up from behind Isabella.

Why: She and Tavish are in cahoots and stand to gain a fair bit of business from unregulated trade and keeping the lower class oppressed.

Lawtan 11-11-2015 09:14 PM

Hmm...I like Den's idea, but I keep remembering how Salone was saying how it was a very opportunistic series of murders...

Salone 11-11-2015 09:17 PM

Actually.

Someone has solved it. Now that I am off work and can catch up on things.

Congratulations Illusion. You solved the murder. I will have the conclusion of everything up for you tomorrow. In the meantime,

You solved the murder! Congratulations!

Lawtan 11-11-2015 09:26 PM

*Bows* Congratulations to all, and to Salone for the mystery!
*Fades away*

Den 11-11-2015 09:29 PM

Good job, everyone! :D

ml1201 11-11-2015 11:48 PM

Ha! I suspected him the whole time, but I didn't want to say anything because to me it wasn't a 'tight' enough knot if you get my drift.

Illusion 11-12-2015 02:29 PM

Oh damm. I solved it?

I'm surprised no one else has spoken up about it xD. I know I'm not the only one.
