It would help if I could get a library card in this area, but the ones up here are super weird and it would cost $30 because our location is "out of range" for a free card. Like!?@!? WTH!!!

I just finished reading Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell. It's basically an alternate ending to Sleeping Beauty.

Wait...what? That is super fucked up.

Libraries do that when the person is not paying taxes for the upkeep of the library because they don't live in the town/city where the library is. It's not punitive its just the "tax" portion due to them from you.

...Actually, I've been trying to finish this for the past year or two, but I'm not often at home, and I keep borrowing this book from the library while I AM at home and forgetting to read it.

I've been reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I wanted to reread the HP series this year because it's one of the few series that I have all the books from and I've been a fan since childhood. :) There are other books that I've started but not finished yet but I've forgotten their titles.

I have been reading too many books! Halp!
But my main focus has been on The Dragon's Son for about the last week. It's actually a fairly easy read once you get into it.
Figure I can probably finish it in a couple of days...

I'm reading Mindy Kaling's "Why Not Me?" book, and I'm almost finished with it. :D

I've been reading The Juniper Tree by Barbara Comyns. Fairy tale inspired stories, retellings, or fable-style narratives are my weakness, and also Helen Oyeyemi whose work I love, was inspired to write Boy Snow Bird because of this book so... I'll see how I like it :3

I am reading The Sense of an Ending by Julian Barnes.
It is very well written and very good.

I've been too engrossed in fanfiction to open a book for a few weeks at least.

The last book I've finished was A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle and the next one I plan to read is Breed by Chase Novak.

I am curently reading Future Noir by Paul M. Sammon

Mainly just working on Roots and Jane Eyre. Still.
But also have read a tiny bit more in Stranger in a Strange Land and The Brothers Karamazov.
Technically have a few other books in progress, but haven't touched them in months.

Brothers Karamazov is a tough read.
I am reading Future Noir, just finished The Voice of Knowledge by Don Ruiz (author of 4 agreements) and Evangeline by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. I love his poetry.

Yeah, I'm not too far into it yet (seriously, not even 20 pages in), so not sure how it actually is yet. What little I've read hasn't seemed like it would be too difficult.

The Last American Vampire by Seth Grahame-Smith.

It's pretty good.

Just finished reading The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Part III, and now I'm reading Spell on Wheels. ^^

My main ones lately have been First Rider's Call and Stranger in a Strange Land, but I technically have probably 7 or 8 others in progress as well.

It's an incredible read with a really high Victorian feel and sense and it's super well written!!

Right now I'm reading Time for the Stars by Robert Heinlein, Edgar Cayce's Story of Egypt by Steve Van Auken, and Reaching to Heaven by James van Praagh. Three books at once and I almost started a fourth but stopped myself, just in time!

Just picked up The Last Wish as I was interested in The Witcher stories. It's not what I thought it was, and personally, I find it less edgy than the game seems to try and imply, probably because I already read stuff that is grim dark and this book is just stepping towards it.

I am reading The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown.

My main focus lately has been on In The Garden of Beasts by Erik Larsen, though, as always, I have several ongoing books.
