I can imagine. I don't have but one cat any longer, so I don't get stereo but I still love it.

ZenKitty 04-30-2016 09:41 PM

This is the first time I've had siblings. We adopted them together from the rescue society. They are just like brothers. They will play, then grumble then snuggle with each other. So cute.

Athilea Majiri 04-30-2016 09:42 PM

Yeah, my parents never fixed cats when I was growing up. We couldn't afford it. So we always had a few kittens around the house and they all pretty much interact that way. It's awesome. ^_^

ZenKitty 04-30-2016 09:50 PM

Growing up with a lot of kittens around must have been great fun. We only had one cat that had kittens growing up and we adopted all but one of them out.

Athilea Majiri 04-30-2016 10:27 PM

It was interesting, that's for sure. I've always had cats and dogs. My husband isn't much of a cat fan, but he doesn't mind there being one or two since they make me happy, and he loves Ezra because he's such a big cat that isn't super cuddly like Raza was, but isn't too standoffish either like Bella was.

Tam I am 04-30-2016 10:40 PM

Maine Coon purr.

And look at this beautiful big scruffy butt!

ZenKitty 04-30-2016 10:48 PM

Great videos. Presto upped the volume of his purring while I was watching it too. So cute!

Athilea Majiri 04-30-2016 10:49 PM

That is a beautiful cat.

Quiet Man Cometh 04-30-2016 11:43 PM

Pet pics! Most of mine are not readily available as I had this thing known as a film camera at the time. I snagged this one from my sister's website. May not count, but I like it.

Sadly, neither of these boys are with us anymore. The little guy in the front is my Monty, a cavalier King Charles spaniel, about 9-10 years old at this point. The baby behind hims is Auggie, English Mastiff puppy. Because he was very young, he couldn't go out with the big grown up mastiffs or he might get accidentally hurt, so he was in the house much of the time and adopted Monty as "grandpa" of sorts.

Auggie was afraid of the dark, apparently. He wouldn't go outside after dark without Monty with him, even several years later when when Monty was maybe knee height to him.

Monty passed from old dog troubles a few years ago at 13, Auggie we lost earlier this year to an infection. Miss them both.

ZenKitty 04-30-2016 11:46 PM

Wow. Talk about cute.

I've never seen a Mastiff puppy. Look at those paws!

Quiet Man Cometh 04-30-2016 11:55 PM

His feet actually seemed a little small compared to what he grew into. 36 inches at the shoulder and 200+pounds. Monty was 12.5 and about 17 pounds.

ZenKitty 04-30-2016 11:57 PM

My vet had a Mastiff and it was HUGE.

Athilea Majiri 05-01-2016 12:00 AM

Those are beautiful dogs!

Den 05-01-2016 04:43 AM

Eeeee, Mastiff puppy! *thinks Mastiffs are flipping adorable*

ZenKitty 05-01-2016 12:06 PM

Everyone's pets are just adorable. So many cute and fuzzy faces to skritch and pet. :D

Den 05-01-2016 03:29 PM

I finally found a picture of the hairy baby that I miss the most...

http://i.imgur.com/qGdjJa7.png

This was Cody. He was a purebred Border Collie, and when this picture was taken, he was about eight or nine years old. I still regret that I didn't put my foot down and have one of the pictures of him and me as my senior picture for the yearbook.

ZenKitty 05-01-2016 03:40 PM

He looks so adorable, Den. And I LOVE your beautiful red hair. :D

Awwww. To Auggie, Monty was always the big dog. English Mastiffs are so sweet.

I like your avatar's hairdo.

ZenKitty 05-01-2016 07:06 PM

Presto loves happy sounds - to hear them and to create them. ;-)

Tam I am 05-01-2016 07:35 PM

D'awww. That's adorable.

That picture was taken about seven years before Cody passed away unexpectedly. I was going to be a Senior in high school, and that is what happened when Mom and I tried dyeing my hair light auburn. My hair turned orange... So we let it grow out... And then, the day after pictures got taken, I got my hair cut short...

Cody was my baby, and I wish I could've gotten that picture, or one with him looking at the camera, in the yearbook as my senior picture.

ZenKitty 05-01-2016 11:04 PM

That would have been a lovely senior picture, Den.

To me, your hair looks like a lovely ginger color. :)

Athilea Majiri 05-01-2016 11:34 PM

I don't think you hair looks orange. It is a little lighter then my oldest sons natural hair color.

Tam I am 05-02-2016 02:51 PM

This is another reason I love Maine Coons. I have seen that tendency to structured games personally, and it makes them such good company.

Tiva 05-02-2016 09:06 PM

I wish I had that video still of Artemis fetching Q tips…. He doesn't do it any more.

ZenKitty 05-02-2016 09:11 PM

I wish I would have made videos of my kitties. They are quite funny at times.

ml1201 05-02-2016 10:45 PM

So many cute puppies and kitties! T^T I want them all to snuggle!

Lawtan 05-03-2016 12:21 AM

*creates all the pets to snuggle ml1201*

Tam I am 05-03-2016 08:21 PM

XD The Maine Coon that I knew once played a very structured game of BOO with me.

ZenKitty 05-03-2016 09:27 PM

Sounds like fun Tam. Was that like Hide and Seek?

ml1201 05-04-2016 12:05 AM

If, its a cat, probably. XD *snuggles all the pets* ♥

I was sitting in the doorway of his owner (one of my birth sisters) while we talked, and Wolven would come charging at me every so often and I would tell him, "BOO!", whereupon he'd turn and scramble away at top speed. After awhile I got so caught up in the conversation that I forgot about Wolven. So he leapt at me on his next charge and said, "ROWER!" before turning and scrambling away like usual. My sister and I both stared in gobsmack at the cat saying boo.

ZenKitty 05-04-2016 07:16 PM

ROTFL

That's a GREAT story, Tam. :D

ml1201 05-04-2016 10:53 PM

OMG! XD That's freakin adorable!

Tam I am 05-05-2016 04:10 PM

I don't know if any of you guys remember those beanbag toys called "Silly Slammers"? They were balls that you tossed, and they'd talk on impact. Well, my sister's son had one of those named Frisco, who talked like a surfer and had long yarn hair. Wolven would sometimes carry Frisco all over the apartment by the hair, occasionally dropping him to hear him talk. One day Frisco's battery finally gave out. Poor Wolven carried the toy around anxiously, dropping it once in awhile and then picking it up again. This went on for most of the day till he finally tucked Frisco into a corner and went away crying. He never touched Frisco again, and it seemed to us that he thought his friend had died.

ml1201 05-05-2016 06:37 PM

Oh dear, poor Wolven. No one had new batteries to see if he'd play with it again?

Tam I am 05-06-2016 03:44 PM

The battery couldn't be replaced.

ml1201 05-06-2016 05:14 PM

Aw, poor Wolven then for loosing a friend. If I could have I would have seen about opening a seam, see if there was a way to replace it, and then patch it back up.

Tam I am 05-07-2016 04:32 PM

I'm a good sewer, but you really can't change the batteries on those mechanisms. I've looked at similar ones to make sure.
