Post it anyway. We always appreciate a good laugh ^^

46, by Den: My favorite line has to be "apps can support advertising". Why write the umphtrillionth love song when you can praise the wonders of popups. Great song by the way.

56, by Kaderin Triste: Well done.

76, by Espy: For your efforts you get a silver coin - and a bigger puzzle.

(Of course anyone may attempt the grid. I can always bring you more)

Is this one done?

Task 1

So a woman walks up to a librarian and asks "do you have that book about Schrodinger's cat and Pavlov's Dog?"

The Librarian said she didn't know if it was there or not but it rang a bell.

:P

Also...

Q: How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: a fish.

42, by mdom: Quite fashionable. 1920s gave us the cloche hat, but in modern days you're only properly dressed with a pup hat.

1, by Quiet Man Cometh: Schrödinger admitted defeat after his cat smugly proved that the box both exists and does not exist at the same time, whether observed or not, and later went on to prove furballs have zero mass. But no, the task has not been done yet and thus earns you a coin.

2, by Lee: Your request for additional funding has been granted.

SparX with Tattoos.

= Mission Complete =

10: Write a poem about a cat.

There was a cat
Who was so fat
But he was mine
So it was fine

He loved to eat
And lick my feet
But he was mine
So it was fine

He would growl
and would meow
But he was mine
So it was fine

As he got old
He got more bold
But he was mine
So it was fine

So many years
So many tears
But he was mine
So it was fine

He had to go
Wish it wasn't so
Still he was mine
So it was fine.

My humble self wants to spell out the reasons a token of the current event should be traded to me. My performance here has been good so far (do you agree?) and the task at hand stands harder to me, born out of the USA(or UK. Or New Zealand). Nevertheless, my humble self shall go all the way for the argentate token.

Death by Mirrors 08-10-2017 03:45 PM

16, by dragoness129: With your discovery comes a silver coin.

10, by Pessimisticat: Sounds like he was a great companion.

11, by mdom: Do you mean argent? Anyway a token of the current event shall be granted to your humble self.

Task 80
(Haha..actually had to make an excel sheet to help with this)

Heian: Elf, Forgotten Desert, Troll
Iselprim: Halfling, Mountain of Doom, Robber
Thokk: Half-Orc, Whispering Forest, Dragon
Wilgard: Human, Blood River, Witch
Barmur: Dwarf, Cave of Terror, Warlock

_________
And just for a good laugh, this is what my song ended up as after being translated through 6 other languages then back to English. (Original song is Santa Fe from the musical movie Newsies)

Quiet Man Cometh 08-10-2017 07:23 PM

Yarr! This be the first post in which e' try t'talk like a pirate! Me brain's not quite knowin' how, but I'll try!

Espy 08-11-2017 01:19 AM

.....Aight, now should I do 87 first, or murder my brain with 88...

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 01:22 AM

If you commit brain murder first, I imagine the brain may not be much good for the other one...

Espy 08-11-2017 01:38 AM

That...is an incredibly good point.

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 01:41 AM

I'm known to make the occasional one...
XD

Espy 08-11-2017 01:44 AM

I'm scared that I might be scaring people away from trying the grid puzzles.

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 01:47 AM

I was going to do one of them today, but the other logic puzzle was calling out to me.

Espy 08-11-2017 01:48 AM

Whoops. You can have 88 if you want.

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 01:52 AM

Haha, I might work on it. But also that candy bar house of cards challenge is calling to me also..

Espy 08-11-2017 01:54 AM

Eh, do both :P

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 01:56 AM

Haha...maybe.
Will need to pick up graph paper for grid puzzle solving purposes since we Trisphites like them so much. XD

Espy 08-11-2017 01:59 AM

-shrug- I happened to have graph paper. A ruler and pencil works just as well.

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 02:03 AM

Me? Have a ruler? Not since grade school.
XD

Espy 08-11-2017 02:47 AM

Or any sort of straight-edge? ...a second pencil? I generally just use a pen as a straight-edge. Makes my lines a bit wonky, but whatever :|

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 02:50 AM

Lol. Or I could just invest in a cheap pack of graph paper because I'm sure this won't be the last time we have grid puzzles.
XD

Espy 08-11-2017 02:56 AM

Back in grade school, my math teacher had this really lightweight graph paper, and I could make the meanest paper airplanes out of them.

...Not...in class, of course. -whistles innocently-

Ultimate paper airplanes in my experience is to double fold the wings and make the body as thin as possible. Glides like a beauty with a mean point.

Yeah, but the lightweight paper was perfect for making good acrobatic planes. Printer paper works best for the ones you described.

Death by Mirrors 08-11-2017 06:32 AM

So how is the ka'umikumamāhik then? XD I can't decide if that sounds more like a Hawaiian dance or a mythical creature from Inuit legends.

I will give you a mean selection of grid puzzles if you want them ^^ just decided against spamming the entire task list with them at once so they don't scare people away.

80, by Kaderin Triste: Great adventures yield great treasure. Here's a silver coin.

87, by Espy: Correct. A coin for your grid skills.

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 12:20 PM

Haha, I honestly don't even know what word that is although I believe that original line is "even at seventeen".
Lol

Espy 08-11-2017 01:55 PM

The....the what?

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 04:37 PM

The ka'umikumamāhik, silly!

Task 57
Quote:

You're a snowman and a heatwave is coming. You have a wire coat hanger, an extra carrot, a spanking paddle, a pair of fishnet stockings and a rubber ducky. Describe your emergency survival plan
Eat the extra carrot, play with the spanking paddle, give myself a cool tattoo on my snowy bod with coat hanger, confide in the rubber ducky, then strangle myself with the fishnet because I am pretty much f*cked.

Kaderin Triste 08-11-2017 04:41 PM

O.o
Well that's pretty grim.

More than I could think up for it though. Lol

Death by Mirrors 08-11-2017 04:45 PM

It's something not even google recognizes anymore. But then again might be even worse if it did XD

57, by unknown.exe: Well... at least your last hours on Earth were memorable :s-megusta:
