@ Nikko - Almost, it starts at level 5 and you get 250 exp per post, so instead of 0, it should be 250.
They level every 2k exp.

There will be lots of Pokemon released in the thread and through the random shop. Also, you can buy eggs. Eggs are completely random with what they have in them, but if you make a wishlist in the trainer thread, you may have a better chance at getting something you want.

You can use Aurum to buy things to aid yourself and your Pokemon.
The Au will go towards contests the thread will have (for instance, there will be an art contest sometime in the future).
There are also free ways of getting most of what is in the shop. For example, you do not have to buy an egg, but rather wait for them to appear in the thread, or in an event.
You do not have to buy Rare Candy, but can post in the thread to level. Rare candies just give an extra boost if you want it.
You do not have to buy Heart Scales, but can post with your pokemon for affection. Every level increases Affection for the Pokemon who need it (example, you raise your Eevee affection to 10 and it is an Odd numbered month, meaning it is daylight, so it could evolve into Espeon the next level).
Pokeballs will have to be bought if you want more Pokemon that appear in the wild, but buying 10 is only 250 Au, and you get a Premeir ball!
