"Olive that's great!" He clapped easily, writing the notes down on a staff he drew so swiftly it was hard to tell what it was. Under each staff he'd write words, all of which pertained to the things his friend had said.

The story was about meeting on a sunny day as children, one running a lemonade stand, and then comparing the speaker in the song to a lemon who was sour to someone, but wanted to love them and hoped to be loved in return. Finishing this, he shoved the paper at his friend eagerly. "Tell me how it is! Does the story in the words flow well? Does it fit your image?"

Honor 03-10-2011 09:33 PM

Olivia read the sheet of paper with eager eyes. She drank in the words, letting the pictures play themselves in her head. "Yes." She breathed with satisfaction. "It's perfect." Her voice was breathless and she looked up at Saya's eyes. Her own eyes sparkled. "Why don't we sing it? I mean I'm not great, but my voice is higher so it would work well for harmonization."
((sorry, short post))

Juneberry 03-10-2011 09:44 PM

"I think it'd be better if I focused on playing guitar this time. This song makes more sense for a higher voice anyway. Besides...I'll mess up if I multitask when the song's still fresh." He chuckled a bit, adding, "If, of course, you don't mind singing on your own. I'd like to hear it."

Honor 03-10-2011 09:56 PM

"Oh, sure, I'd be happy to." She said, slightly nervous, but willing enough. She was suddenly very glad her mother had taken her to singing lessons when she was little. Though a part of her realized this was a dangerous venture. Saya knew her voice was higher but when she sang the girlieness might be more apparent. "That is if you don't mind my voice."

Juneberry 03-10-2011 10:43 PM

"I don't mind it at all. Well, I don't mind your speaking voice...So I doubt your singing voice would bother me all that much." Smiling, Sayaku began to start the earlier set of chords before nodding to his friend. "When you're ready."

Honor 03-10-2011 10:48 PM

Olivia took a deep breath, and sang. Her voice was soft and gentle carrying happiness and childhood memories in it's tone. By no means was it perfect, but the singing lessons had done her well enabling her to keep in tune with the music. Her voice was also very feminine, but she hoped Saya would be to into his music to notice. Now that she had word to put to the music the song felt more complete and words rolled from her tongue with ease. She felt warmth spread through her heart and as she sand she came to sit by Sayaku feeling peaceful. When she was finished the silence seemed deafening. "Every time you play I can't help but be amazed." She said in a soft whisper.

Juneberry 03-10-2011 11:50 PM

He chuckled a bit after having heard her, though barely, whispering those words. "Well that makes me glad. It means I'm doing a good job. As a musician, if I have an impact on the listener I'm pleased." Grinning, he put his guitar next to him and stretched upwards. "You did a great job singing it too. And it flowed perfectly when it's put together. It's a great relief that it turned out well."

Honor 03-10-2011 11:57 PM

Olivia smiled. "It really is something." She said closing her eyes for moment. When she opened them she saw Saya stretching and her eyes lingered on the small line skin on his stomach that was made visible for the briefest of moments. Then she turned away. They had been to close tonight and knew better than to push her luck any further. Though she was slightly put out that he didn't seem attracted to her at all despite his acknowledgement of her femininity. "It's getting late... I should shower." She said, though she was reluctant to move from his side.

Juneberry 03-11-2011 03:30 PM

"You go on ahead. I prefer to shower early morning, so don't worry 'bout me, kay?" He smiled at his friend before leaning backward again. "I'm sorta tired anyway. It's been a long day after all. I think I'll get to my homework and then just hit the hay for now. Try not to prune up though in the shower 'kay? It's bad for your health, they say."

Honor 03-11-2011 04:33 PM

Olivia laughed a little and rolled her eyes about the pruning comment. "I'll try really hard." She said with mocking, yet playful, sincerity. She brushed hair from her face and stood, throwing Saya one last glance before she did so. She walked slowly to her bag and bent down to retrieved her necessary items. "If your asleep before I get out then goodnight." She said, then walked into the bathroom.

She allowed herself to lean against the closed door of the bathroom and slide down to the floor. Saya's song played itself over in her head and she closed her eyes to enjoy it. She had felt amazing singing it with him, but she couldn't figure out why. Opening her eyes she sighed and decided it must be because he was a fantastic musician.

She showered, taking her time and allowing the water to soak away her tension just like the night before. Again she used her coconut shampoo and it continued to comfort her. When it was time to get out of the showered she wanted to stay in a little longer, but she instead got out, dried herself and dressed. Opening the door she peaked out again, wondering if this would become a habit.

Honor 03-11-2011 09:37 PM

OOC:

(( I was thinking it might be cute to have Olivia dress up as a girl for a play or something. Like Joey could ask her for a favor, needing someone to play a minor role in a play he's doing -a maid or something- and could beg Olive to do it since she looks so girly. I think it'd be a shock for all of them to see her dressed like a girl XD ))

Juneberry 03-11-2011 09:52 PM

"Night to you too," Sayaku replied swiftly before staring upward at the upper bed again- an old habit he found hard to break after a few years.

After a few moments, he forced himself off his bed to go to his bag, pulling out the day's homework and working on it the best he could. When he was done, he wrote a letter to one of his friends, stating in it to read a secondary letter to his sister since she couldn't read. He then sealed it. "I'll send this tomorrow... Let's see, homework's done so...Guess I can hit the hay now."

However, sleep didn't come as easily that night, so he ended up just listening to the shower going on. When he heard the door open a bit, he looked over. "I'm still awake. But it's not like you have to worry all that much anyway, y'know. If I was asleep I'd be out like a light." He laughed a bit. "By the way...That scent's coconut, right? That's a nice scent... Way better then my mint stuff my sister packed for me."

((OOC: Sounds like fun to me 8D Sayaku would try to find a way to help too, though I don't know how... Hm...))

Honor 03-11-2011 10:32 PM

Olivia colored slightly at having been caught, but she was glad he could not see it in the dark, with her form silhouetted by the bathroom light. Turning she shut of the light, making the room dark save for some moonlight that filtered in through the window. "I... guess I didn't want to disturb you, incase you were dreaming or something. I hate getting my dreams enterupted." She said with a smiled, though it faltered as the statment wasn't completely true, again she was grateful for the dark. In truth she was worried she might accidentally walk in on him changing, something she wanted to prevent for as long as possible.

She stepped carefully in the dark, not knowing the room well enough to navigate it without light. "Yeah it is. It makes me think of home. My third oldest sister loves coconuts so the bathroom always smells like them. You can use it if you want." She leaned forward, trying to see where the edge of the bed was. She underestimated her distance and her hands landed on the upper portion of Saya's thighs. She paused there, not understanding why the bed felt odd, her hand squeezing gently. "Wha- Oh!" She imediantly back tracked, pulling her hands away as if bitten. "I'm sorry! Geez, I've been doing this all day!"

((great! hmm... Joey could perhaps need a servant boy in the play also?))

Juneberry 03-11-2011 11:00 PM

((That works. And Sayaku can play a real mean peasant ;D lul))

"It's fine. It is dark in here. Y'know though, you could turn on the light next time. Isn't there a switch next to the bathroom?" He chuckled a bit, apparently not phased. "Don't worry too much though. It's understandable you might miss the bed since it's dark. I'm just glad I was the one you caught and not some sort of poisonous animal... Or a goat. Either of those could be bad."

As he chuckled some more, he moved so that he was sitting up, though he hit his head on a nearby board from getting up too fast without checking where the boards for the ladder were. "Dang that hurt..." Shaking it off, he looked over to where he assumed his friend was. "By the way, did you do the homework already? I was curious if you got the math homework alright. I know I hate math- I'm horrible at it. So I planned on sending a letter to my sister about it tomorrow..."

Honor 03-11-2011 11:09 PM

Olivia's face was burning yet it didn't seem to bother Saya at all. She was very thankful that he was her roommate. She could be such a klutz sometimes! "Yeah there is a switch there... but my memory is about nine seconds long and never gives me useful information when I need it." She laughed a bit at her own stupidity. "I'll keep an eye out for the goats." She said with a grin.

She sat down at the edge of his bed, jumping a bit when he hit his head. "You alright?" She wanted to touch his head to see if he had a bump there, but she decided it was best to keep her hands to herself for the rest of the night. "Yeah, I did it in some spare time I had in class. I think I got the math. Of course with my luck I'm probably terrible wrong."

Juneberry 03-12-2011 06:14 PM

"I'm fine. If I can handle the work I did on the farm I can handle a quick bump on the head." Grinning, he laughed a bit as well. "Don't let your nine-second long memory let you forget to keep an eye on the goats if they suddenly end up here. I hear there's a farm near the school so we really do need to be aware I think..." Shaking it off, he thought back to the homework issue.

"I still bet you did better then I did. Math is my sister's thing. I mean, she's a freak genius with it, I swear... Anything that involves numbers and "simple" ideas, as she puts it even with the hardest formulas there are in my opinion, she loves. To be honest, that situation separates us a lot even though it means I have something to do with her..." He laughed nervously. "My sister is weak-bodied, clumsy and horrible with people. So usually, I can't do anything with her because she's stuck in bed a lot from her bad health. That's why doing math with her, no matter how much I hate the math part, makes me happy anyway. She was always smiling when she helped me with my math. It made her feel accomplished, it seemed like. Because besides that and her herbs, she didn't really have much she could do with her own abilities."

He shook it off. "Sorry, I must really be a pain with that. I guess despite my problem with girls I still manage to have a sister complex. But... I'm really worried about her. She's alone now...And I can't trust her to take care of herself. Chinza moved into the area before I left so I know she'll keep an eye on Flute for me but... I can't help but worry..." He sighed. "Maybe I'm just being over protective... But... I'm her older brother. Isn't it my job?" He looked upward to the other bed. "What do you think? Do you think it'd bother her if she knew how worried I'm getting just because I don't live nearby to keep an eye on her? Something tells me if she found out she'd get mad at me." He laughed weakly.

Honor 03-12-2011 06:41 PM

Olivia smiled at Saya softly. "I think... that she would not want you to worry, because it causes you distress but... she would happy that her big brother cared that much. She might act angry, but she would be secretly pleased." She told, remembering her own sisters as she did so. "I may not have any younger sisters, but I worry about my older ones. I can understand why you worry so much. Because I know my sisters have each other to rely on I can put myself at ease." A smiled played at her lips as she remembered how well she and her sisters looked after each other. As much she worried she knew they were fine. "Honestly, they probably worry more about me being out here."

She brushed hair from her face and closed her eyes in concentration for a moment. She hadn't spoken with her sisters in a while... perhaps she would call them, though she wasn't to thrilled about lying to them about where she was. If they knew they wouldn't let her stay. The would bored a plane sooner than Olivia could shut her phone and whisk her away from her dream school.

Juneberry 03-12-2011 08:27 PM

"I hope she doesn't actually hate me," He replied with a smile as he listened to his friend's words. "Sis has little self-confidence, so my worrying tends to cause trouble for that. But... I know there are some things she can do that only she can do. I rely on her too. I wish she relied on me a little more."

"I'll probably call her tomorrow if I can. Is it alright if I mention you though?" Sayaku smiled some more and rested his head against the nearby wall. "Since Sis was never able to go to school due to her health, she always asks me what it's like and about the people I meet. So you're likely gonna be the first topic of conversation besides math. Or Joey..."

Suddenly, a phone vibrating caught his attention. His mother had forced him to get a cell phone even from afar when he first left home, and it was now going off again. "Huh...? A message from mom..." He read it carefully. "The school is having a festival soon or something? I don't get it. Some sort of play? Sis found out and wants to come? That's crazy... She'd get a panic attack just by walking onto campus..."

Honor 03-12-2011 11:40 PM

Olivia shrugged, "Mention me all you want, though I don't think I'm a particularly interesting topic. Well besides the fact that I run into you every ten seconds." She grinned at him even though he could not see it.

"I should call my sister too. Man, I'll get an earful that for sure. They very much enjoy telling me everything they find at least mildly interesting. They find a lot of things interesting." She laughed, remember their many talk where she herself was mostly silent. "A festival? Know anything about that? I haven't heard a thing." She asked him curiously.

Juneberry 03-13-2011 06:16 PM

Sayaku laughed a bit. "Trust me, anyone is an interesting topic for my sister. As I said, she's usually stuck at home in bed, so she doesn't know much about people. Her favorite thing to do is watch sitcoms or the news so she can learn more about people. Oh, or science-based shows... I remember her always watching those..." He laughed a bit.

"I never heard a thing until now about it. Apparently there's some sort of play I didn't know about... Sis found out somehow, but... I don't know if it's a good idea for her to come. Ironically, like my problem with girls, sis is deftly afraid of guys. Though her reason is even more understandable..."

Honor 03-13-2011 06:41 PM

Curiosity squirmed in Olivia's stomach as he trailed off hid sentence. She wanted to know why his sister had more of a reason to fear guys than Saya did girls. "Yeah... most normal girls would be intimidated by a school full of guys..." She said, talking from experience. This place still intimated her. In fact, the only male in the school who didn't intimidate her was Sayaku. He seemed very good hearted and she felt even if her were to discover her true gender he wouldn't lay a hand on her. It was a comforting thought.

"Ah... you said your sister has more of a reason to fear guys... would it be alright if I asked why?" She said tentatively. It really wasn't her business, but it clearly concerned Saya.

Juneberry 03-13-2011 06:51 PM

"When I was younger and had first moved in with my sister and uncle, she didn't know anyone besides people she met at the hospital, uncle and me. I started school and made some friends easily...And they were all good people, from what I'd known. Unfortunately, I didn't realize one of them wasn't as good as I thought." He laughed nervously. "Flutter was always talking about how much fun it was when Michael came to visit, so I thought, 'hey, cool, we have a friend in common now'. However, whenever she asked what it meant to go out with someone, I had no idea why."

"Apparently, Michael kept asking her out... But he got tired of her not understanding what he meant. She kept saying she didn't understand, because she was sheltered and didn't know much about relationships and feelings. Eventually...It got out of hand. I walked in one day when he was taking care of her during one of my extra curricular activities...And he was assaulting her..." He sighed. "Michael's been in jail since then. She can't go near most guys anymore 'cause of it... She already had a general fear of people that had been subsiding. Now it's basically just guys..."

Honor 03-13-2011 07:06 PM

Olivia felt sadness prick her heart. She felt sorry for her. In here mind she had seen his sister as sweet and innocent. The way Saya described her had led her to believe that she had been the closest thing to an angel that could live on this earth. It so felt wrong that she had been harmed in any way.

Finally, after a long moment she spoke, her voice breathy and quiet. "That's... terrible." She felt the words were inadequate so she tried to add on, "Some people are just... rotten," this felt even less adequate.

Her mind had pulled her to a darker place, a memory she had long since buried. Nothing had happen to her or to anyone she loved, but she felt danger had been closer than her parents thought. A man had broken into her house when she was small. They had hidden in the house till the police arrive, but just before they did the man had seen her and just for a second their eyes had met. The look in his eyes was something that made her shudder even now. Had Flutter seen the same kind of eyes?

Juneberry 03-13-2011 07:12 PM

Sayaku nodded. "He isn't a bad person though all in all. Even sis agrees with that. Every year for her birthday, even now... He still finds a way to send her flowers. She's scared, but she still feels alright about him. She just won't get too close to guys now." He smiled. "

He really did care about her. Just looking at him talk about her makes it obvious. I was surprised, to be honest... I went to visit him afterwards, and he actually cried from how horrible he felt. He had just been pushed over the edge- he didn't want to hurt her in actuality. He just lost control. But I still don't forgive him either way...Mostly."

Sayaku smiled to Oliver simply. "Something tells me you're someone she'd be comfortable with too. Maybe it's because you're a little more feminine then other guys, but it might just be because you're easy to talk to. But either way, I have a feeling sis will enjoy meeting you. Probably Joey too, but his energy may scare her. So... I'd like to ask you a favor. When she comes... Please be nice to her like you are to me. It'd be good if she met someone she felt calm with."

Honor 03-13-2011 07:25 PM

"The way you describe her... I couldn't be any but nice to her. Yeah... like I said before I can make friends with girls easily." Olivia smiled, happy with the idea that he would trust her to be around his little sister. Having his trust made her feel accepted.

Then she laughed. "Yep, that me, the girlie girl among men." She said, laughing again. Saya had no idea how true her statement was. She lifted her legs pulling them up onto the bed and wrapping her arms around them and using them as a sort of chin rest.

Juneberry 03-13-2011 07:52 PM

"It'll be a relief to know that there's someone who she might be able to make a friend with," Sayaku replied. "I should probably warn Joey to be careful though when she gets here... While I think he'd be good to her, I think she'd panic from how hyper he can get." Sayaku laughed nervously. "Sis is slow and has little physical energy so she'd get lost and tired out easily if she had to deal with his energy level too much. But I think it'd be good for her to make some friends while she's here."

Honor 03-13-2011 08:07 PM

Olivia giggles. "Yeah, Joey can be quite the handful. If he gets to rambunctiousness we can just throw something heavy at him." She grinned. She liked Joey, he was a fun guy. Though she wondered how he's act around her if she had been a girl when they met? She hoped it wouldn't be any different. She gazed in Saya's direction. Would Saya have acted differently? A small pain sparked in her chest as she realized he would have, having his problem with girls and all. "Would you treat me any differently if I were a girl?" The words came from her mouth without a thought and when she realized this it was to late to retract them. "Ah, that sounds like a weird question. Never mind."

Juneberry 03-13-2011 08:25 PM

"I have no idea. If I'd met you and you were a girl... I'd probably had a lot of trouble. Now that I know you more, though, it's hard to answer." Sayaku responded with a chuckle. "And though it's a weird question, even I've asked such a thing before. Some guys ask that when they have friends who get along better or worse with girls. It's just an interesting topic sometimes." He smiled. "And how would you answer if I asked that?"

Honor 03-13-2011 08:36 PM

Olivia blinked in surprise. The thought had never occurred to her. How would she react if Saya had been a girl when they met? "I..." She paused, confuse, then grinned and answered, "I would have asked what you were doing in an all boy's school." She laughed. Oh, the irony.

"Hmmm... but seriously, I'm not sure." How could she answer that? He had always been very male to her, she couldn't see him as a girl. "I think I still would be friends with you, either way. It might even have been better. I can make girl friends easier than I can guys." She said being a truthful as she could.

Juneberry 03-13-2011 10:56 PM

"Eh, I would have assumed you were lost if you were a girl. Unless you were my roommate still. Then I'd assume you had a boy phobia so they purposely made sure you were in a dorm room with a guy they knew had trouble with girls...Though that'd be weird since it is an all boy's school as you even noted."

Laughing, he added, "Since you do well with girls that's something I don't have to worry about most likely then for my sister's sake. Dang, I'm still worrying about that... Sorry 'bout that. I really am over-protective of Flute."

Honor 03-13-2011 11:04 PM

Olivia laughed. "No, don't apologize. I completely understand." She smiled. The atmosphere felt good, companionable. "You know, I was serious about acting like a girl to help you with your women troubles. It's dark now, it might help if you can't see me." She said, remembering her idea from the day before. "Pleeease," She added, "I think it will work."

It was a strange request, that was for sure, but Olivia honestly felt like it would help him. She wanted to help him very much, thinking it might be a way to repay him for being such a fabulously oblivious roommate.

Juneberry 03-13-2011 11:08 PM

"Are you really sure about this? I don't get how it would work anyway. I still know it's you, thankfully." He added the last part quietly to himself, or rather, the last word. "And I don't know what it'll do really. Or how this would work- like how we do that... I guess I'm just confused."

Honor 03-13-2011 11:13 PM

Olivia grinned, hearing his confusion. She herself wasn't completely sure how it would work, but she knew it had to do something. "Easy. Name a situation that might make you especially uncomfortable with a girl. We act it out. I can be a very convincing girl, trust me." As she said the words 'trust me' her voice became a little higher, but also softer, very female and very gentle.

Juneberry 03-14-2011 12:02 AM

"Um...Well, when a girl has a problem...I want to help out but I get really shaken up because of what's happened. So most likely something causing a girl distress...?" He laughed nervously. "I must sound really lame trying to figure that out. but... I sort of had a feeling you could be a good actor. You do have good voice control anyway..."

Honor 03-14-2011 12:01 PM

Olivia smiled and, still using her 'girl' voice she said, "No problem, just let me think." She filed through her mind, trying to find a problem they could act out. Something that would help his get a very good grasp of how girls might react. She thought of one, a specificly feminine problem, but she decided that might be a little much for him to start out with so she stored it away for later contemplation.

"Alright...got it." She murmured then instanly switched, acting her part. Suddenly she was a shy girl who had lost something. "Oh, I'm sorry to bother you but could you help me find my wallet?" She bit her lip, eyes wide with concern. She swung her legs off the bed and scooted slightly closer to him.

Juneberry 03-14-2011 08:11 PM

((...I thought it was contacts at first when I read it on my phone last night. Good thing I just re-read the change. Or just lost my mind. -shrugs-))

"S-sure," He muttered, however he was slightly nervous even just in sound. He did play a strangely convincing girl- so much so that he almost forgot it was his roommate. "Um...Where do you last remember having it? Retracing your steps is the best way to find something you lost..."

Honor 03-14-2011 08:38 PM

Olivia smiled softly, finding his nervousness endearing. She placed a hand on his arm, giving him a quick reassuring squeeze to let him know he was doing fine. "I-I think I dropped it over that way somewhere. Could you help me find it? I'd do it myself but... it's dark and I'm a little scared..." She trailed off, fluttering her eyelashes in a nervous way and biting her lip.

((ah, yeah, sorry about that, that's what I posted originally, but I was in school and had to write it quick, but when I looked at again I didn't like it, and since you hadn't replied I figured I could change it.))

Juneberry 03-14-2011 09:20 PM

Unfortunately, it was the squeeze on his arm that had made him jump slightly, as that was somehow a trigger to his anxiety. "R-Right. It is sort of dark..." He didn't look towards the voice, but rather got up and started to pretend he was looking for something around the room. "Hm...Wallet..."

((The only thing it would have done was make Sayaku ask what they were. I was gonna write that when I saw you changed it. It's fine though :3))

Honor 03-14-2011 09:27 PM

Olivia stood and followed Saya, at least she was pretty sure she had followed him. It was hard to tell in the dark. She felt bad that she had made him jump so, and figured it was time to bring this part of the exercise to an end. She didn't want to push too much on him at one time.

Squinting her eyes she could see the outline of his form and went to him. "Saya, it's alright." She said, voice soft and kind. She placed a hand on his back, hoping it wouldn't make him uncomfortable as her touch had just moments before. "I'm Olive, your friend." She was concentrating on trying to sound soothing, not thinking that her voice still sounded very feminine.

Juneberry 03-15-2011 04:30 PM

He gulped, still uneasy. However, as he managed to calm down, likely from the change in voice that led him to believing Oliver was back to himself and not acting anymore, a deep sigh escaped Sayaku's mouth. "S-Sorry...I really am hopeless in these cases huh... Your acting was so believable I got scared thinking you were actually a girl..."
