It reminds me of the Egyptian religion course I took in uni, and was at one point lamenting to myself about the sheer number of "Nefers" in the list of important Egyptian people. ;). I can't quite recall what it means, though I want to say something along the lines of 'beauty.'

So hi! I am also Canadian (out here by Vancouver), and also in my 20's, though those would be late 20's. I used to watch piles of anime though not so much anymore, and the only anime convention I've been to was one held at my university that I stumpled upon my accident when I went to get textbooks for the new year. That was interesting.

And lol, well actually it comes from there, or well Ancient Egypt fandom I had when younger, and I kept the nickname since then ^^ Plus there was a show called Mummies Alive! who had as the main female character Nefertina, who was nicknamed Nefer lol.

I'm on the other side of Canada actually lol. As for anime, well, I guess I'm the same now, I'm starting to read a bit more manga now but the 4 years of University totally drained me and I gradually stopped watching as many anime / read as many manga as I used to before. And lol, a convention at your University? Sounds like the first times of Otakuthon here, I believe it started in Concordia University ^^ My first convention was actually because I saw some advertising about Anime North on YTV, so I went 7 hours away from here to my first convention, not even knowing there was one 2 hours away from here ^^;

Heh. I used to watch that show. Can't remember much of it now though. Nefertina would be a cat I assume? I only really remember the snake guy and his pose that I was not too fond of, and the leader figure who had something like the mask of Tutankamen going. Horus maybe? Don't know.

Yeah, Ancient Egypt is full of 'nefers.' Nefertari, Nefertiti, Nefertiri are various women; Nefertem, the got of the scent of the lotus blossom sometimes depicted in Ancient Memphis as the son of Ptah and Sakhmet; Sennefer, one time mayor of Thebes (I think), etc.

I figured given you mentioned Toronto and Montreal that you would be on the other side of the country. The convention I bumped into was held two weeks prior to the near academic year. I just like to go early for some textbooks since the place is always packed the week before classes start. I was sort of odd to see this massive line-up outside the Student Union Building filled with colourfull people in various outfits walking around. I went up and asked and found out it was an anime convention, though not cosply but people were dressing up anyway. I have some pics on my cell phone from that.

Been a while since I've watched YTV. I didn't know they talked about stuff like that. Although, anime hardly existed in North America at the time, going by what could be seen on regular TV.

Hmm ya, a wild cat if I remember correctly, following Bastet. The 'leader' guy was a falcon, so possibly Horus yes...and there was also a, uh, buffalo? or something like that anyway, I was half my age last time I watched it so ^^;

Lol, must at been weird at first sight, personally we couldn't get our notebooks until the teachers gave us which one to buy, and it opened only the first week of school anyway. Though we did once did a Vampire Knight photoshoot at school in the summer (about 2 weeks before the next trimester and right after the summer one), but almost no one saw us so we were fine ^^; Well, apart from one of our...teacher xD At least he was about our age so he didn't find us TOO weird lol.

I don't have YTV anymore though, they cut it a couple of months ago from our normal cable...and they had those 'Anime Spot' or whatnot, and sometimes if you were lucky you could catch a 2 minutes spot on Anime North. And I started cosplaying in 2005, so there was a couple of anime already on, though obviously not as many as now yet. I don't even think Bleach and Naruto were aired here yet actually...

And I believe Moon live in Ontario, near Toronto ^^

Lol well, inheritance is quickly said, I only have some money and the such and I don't want my half-brothers and half-sister to have if in case I die lol. (I don't know them all that much, I kinda know my uncles and aunts from my mother side better than them, and the youngest are actually the same age as my half-sibblings ^^; )

Nah, not that much, well more than just a hundred dollar yes, but not 25thousands xDDD (I wish I had that, I could buy a brand new car lol!).

And I don't want my half-sibblings to inherite something they shouldn't have, I prefer to give it to my parents and my godfather before them, that's why I did that...

Ohhh, writting, I miss writting a lot...

I've been able to write some thanks to the RP I've been doing here...plus I got inspired to do a little side story with mine and someone else's character. I used to write a lot but I got de-motivated over time.

Hmmm ya, same here, I used to write fanfictions and original stories, but I stopped doing it with University getting in the way and the such, I actually rediscovered some of my OC because of my sketch pads when I was looking for a new one to draw my sig chibi on ^^;

I'd like to try a RP, but I don't like jumping in the middle of a story lol.

I was thinking about the Cats in the Curiosity Shoppe one, bust because RPing a cat would have been great...but then CupcakeDolly gave Suzerain an idea for one and I jumped in on that when it started. It's really nice because I feel a lot less pressure to just write a few paragraphs at a time. Plus it's FUN to interact with the others ^^

Yup indeed! It funnier to write in cooperation with someone else, if you're stuck somewhere the other person can continue and so on ^^
