"Dolly..." he said, nodding his head and then relaxing slightly. There was something about her that reminded him of someone, though he wasn't quite sure of whom. "Ah, my name is Azeil... I've had the unfortunate pleasure to be assigned to the queen's guard." His nose wrinkled. It was clearly not his choice, but he didn't seem to have any intentions of disobeying this assignment.
Dolly smiled sympathetically. "I don't exactly envy you." She remembered the coldness of the Queen's presence, the sort of which a even a doll couldn't exude. "I volunteered for this position, myself. I can be quite fragile in a fight, unfortunately. But if you ever need aid, Sir Azeil, you can always find it here."
Azeil shrugged a bit. "I didn't have a choice," he said simply, although at the offer of medical help, he merely smiled. "Ah, I don't think I ever will," he said, the 'tattoos' on his body shifting around a bit.

Funkduder awoke with a start, having gone through a nightmare against an assailant from the batttle front. He looked around and saw an interesting cast of people, including his friend, cupcake. He decided to try to tune in while checking to see which of his wounds had not healed yet.
"Sir Funk!" Dolly nearly lost her grip on the needle, startled by the man jerking awake. She sighed, then smiled kindly at him. "I'm nearly done fixing you up. How are you feeling?"

One half dead from the pain of defeat, and one half embarrassment.

After days away from the the Encampment Muse walks in and starts restocking the supplies that was used during the past couple of days.
A strange spirit wanders in, mist flowing behind him, an eerie whispering of voices clamoring at his every footstep. He carries with him a lantern, and as he enters the encampment, he sets it in the middle of the area, and a noise like a voice, spoken in many whispers, can be heard.
"This lantern is an object of great power." The voice began, "Power not for mortal men. It will guide the souls of your fallen to me, and I will guide them to the life after. And do not be fooled, there will be many, many, dead before this is over. Suffering befalls you..." The being vanished, leaving the lantern behind. It emitted a ghastly aura, and anyone who might come near suddenly felt the urge to run very quickly away. |
Funkduder was close to the medical encampment, fighting knife to tanto with Asura when he was dropped. The only grip he had on Asura was the extending flail which Asura, herself, held on to. It didn't matter. His wrath would fade.
Falling downwards a good 60 feet, he had little time to save himself as his instincts guide him to using an interdiction shield prototype to save himself as it had saved him while he fought Espy. He crashed into the dirt, landing next to a transparent latern, as his shield broke for the second time. "Note to self; get a better landing." The wrath that had once been devoring him had faded, being far out of the presence of Asura. Not hearing the whispers, he took a deep look into the latern he was next to, and the faces of those who he had seen in battle were there, beckoning him. "Maybe later," he thought aloud. And walked away from the latern. A chill came by that made him want to move a bit faster...so he did and rushed to the armory... |
Belle sighed as she pulled out another sword, her last sword having broken fighting. She looked up as she heard someone enter the Armory "Hello?" she called out confused as to who would be coming in here. She sighed wishing her outfit was longer, she had to borrow a nurses uniform when her's was too tattered to cover anything.
"Hiya! A lot of my stuff broke. I was wondering if there were any screwdrivers around here or something so I can fix my shield." Funkduder held up his wrist, showing off the badge, but since no shield was present...it just looked like a broken watch.
"they should be by the entrance, there is a work table and all the tools you need," she called out before walking over to him placing her sword by the work table she smiled pushing her hair out of her face, "The screw drivers are over here" she said leading him over to them, "I'm belle by the way" she said, pulling out the box of different sized screwdrivers.
"Why thank you. I am Funkduder, a man with an nfortunate debt which dragged him into this war." It took him minutes to figure out the problem and minutes more to fix it. During that time he tried to make some small talk. "That's a nice sword there. Not one I'd expect out of a medical employee."
"I'm not a medical employee, I had to use what ever I found considering my normal outfit is now shreds of cloth, at least it's being washed and used as bandages," she said "what are you fixing exactly? it looks like a watch but you said sheild...." she added confused
Funkduder looked her up and down in the nurse outfit. "You'd make a cute nurse...oh right, the shield." He had just fixed it and activated it to test it. A red glow surrounded a sheet of metal that turned to watch into a large but thin metal shield. "If I had it my way, there'd be no metal and the glowing would be able to block all kenetic force. But alas, it has its limits."
Belle smiled and bit her lip trying to hide her blush from the compliment. watching the watch change she smiled "interesting, what would you do with the energy stopped with the shield?" she asked him "If you had your way"
-wanders trough, checking up on injured-
"Ffffff, this is so adorable to meeeee." He wandered in just admiring the organization around him. A little delirious and spouting nonsense, he nodded approvingly at every last little thing. Including the rocks.
"It would go through the rest of the shield and extend to its sides, preventing the user from feeling the force...though it wouldn't have been able to stop that blush from impressing me. Do you have a boyfriend?" He wasn't quite sure where he was going with this. He thought that he should be returning to the front to kill Asura and save the grandmaster... but he was pretty sure that she wouldn't kill her, at the very least. He was sure that he had time.
Belle nodding hearing his ideas for the shield before smirking. "Wouldn't you like to know," she said, expertly tossing her sword up in the air and catching it no matter what side came towards her hand be it blade or hilt. "Don't you have to go back to the front lines?" she asked him smiling.
*!* "GAH! That's right!" Funkduder's look of suprise was more instinctual than an actual shck of forgetfulness. He grabbed the shield and charged to the front lines, drawing his sword when he got outside.
Asione limped into the tent and laid herself on one of the cots. The fighting wasn't going very well for her today and she had numerous cuts and bruises from poor battle choices.
Muse rushes in and, without saying a word, began to to heal and bandage Asione wounds.
"Oh, miss...thank you so much." Asione smiled at Muse warmly, before slipping off to sleep.
Muse quickly finished healing Asione then walked out of the tent.
Dolly woke after a long sleep. The war was starting to wear on her, and she had been called to the front lines several times because of the lack of patients to treat. She glanced around the main tent - only one new body since she had fallen asleep. The doll smiled - what more had she expected? The queen's warriors were strong, and more than capable of handling their own wounds. That, she considered with a frown, or they were simply dying before they could reach her aid.
A chill gripped the air, and Dolly stood, walking toward a light outside that she had never noticed before. Pulling back the tent flap, she saw that somebody had left a lantern. Curious, she walked toward it and lifted it - the weight was unusual, like the heavy burden of many wandering souls. At that close distance, she could just barely feel its pain and sorrow, and she smiled sadly. Such a fate was not meant for her. |
Muse wandered over to where Dolly stood, "What, what do you think it's for?" she asked pointing at the lantern.
