She smiled wryly. "Indeed, if she's willing to put up with the lot of us."

The girl turned her gaze back to Fey, sighing and shaking her head. "Poor child..."

"Indeed," she pulled off her half cape and tucked it around her. "I'll procure some drinks and food, if you'd like some, lets' her sleep."

She nodded. "That would be much appreciated." she reached her hands up and let her hair out of the ponytail it was in.

*She nuzzled into the cape, ears just flopping relaxed as the child smiled, nuzzling slightly on it she just let out a tiny murr before drifting fully to sleep*

Moving to the set up counter Fey carefully juggled two flasks and plates, returning to the table she set them down and tucked up one corner of the trailing cape. "Do you think our side can really do this," she asked in hushed tones. While she believed that change was necessary she wasn't so sure it was possible.

The girl thought for a moment, her expression solemn. "The queen is strong, but we fight for what's right from my perspective... if it's meant to be it's meant to be. That's all I can say." she whispered.

*Whimpered as she awoke with a start, shakingly she crawled up into Fey;s lap, burying in tightly as she drifted to sleep, she just smiled weakly*

Giving a start as she suddenly finds her lap full Fey shifts cautiously and gives a sad smile. "For ones such as these I have to believe we'll prevail...and part of me wishes I was strong enough to go right into the castle and takes the queen's heart myself."

Blouses re-entered the tavern he had been in a day earlier. He had snuck out as quickly and quietly as he could. But with each fight he grew more tired and he needed a place to rest.

She looked down and sighed. "Indeed, we must for the sake of these children... They don't deserve a life like this, and that... bitch we call a queen should never have set foot in that palace.

Dema noticed Blouses and half-smiled. "Hello there."

A sudden rush of movement heralded the arrival of another, Fey didn't recognize him, but filed away his face. Friend or foe it was good to have mental notes. "Indeed, it was a black day she ascended."

*blinked her eyes open slightly as she nuzzled into Fey waving a small hand towards the newcomer, smiling lightly as she murmured* I.. hope you are feeling okay..? if..if you need anything just ask and I shall.. help.. *leaned her head back against Fey as she yawned widely, tail stretching out*

"If not for her... the people of Quesaria might have had a chance at being free..."

Resting a hand on the girl Fey gave the newcomer a hard look, "If you need anything you'll do well to get it yourself, she shall not be moving until she has rested." Damn the rules, and damn the neutrality, she would not let this girl be worked to an early grave. "The people still have a chance, though slim it might be."

Blouses moved forward. He heard the talk of rebels, badmouthing his 'precious' queen. "Long live the queen." He said, with a sly smile as he moved toward them.

"Slim is better than nothing I suppose, however, how hard will it be to take that chance? All we can do is hope and fight our hardest."

She rolled her eyes at Blouses. Screw the Loyalists, but it was best to hold her tongue while she was here.

Giving the approaching loyalist an arch look Fey ignored him. As long as he made no demands on the beleaguered help she had no quarrel with him this night. "The worst will be when they are free, how will they handle that? An enslaved man often does not know how to care for himself when given the chance."

"It's definitely an interesting question, but... hopefully our leader has some sort of plan for the if we do w- No... when we win."

"We'll see, that will be the act to measure their worth against. For if we are no better than what we fought against it was a pointless war."

*Smiled lightly kneading just slightly on her arm before curling in tight to her, biting her lip and then stretched out, squeaking in surprise pain, confused to her stiff muscles as she frowned*

Her hands moving cautiously Fey felt out the knotted muscles and lightly kneaded them. Signs of the work the girl did day in and day out evident. "Hush, don't tense up, it will only hurt more."

*She whimpered letting her body go limp as her ears flattened back, murring quietly as she squeaked* TH..this hurts worse than... well when master used me for experiments..

It broke the girl's heart seeing the poor slave who wanted to help people like them despite her master's best wishes, but barely able to stand. How anyone could do this to such a young child she would never know...

She nodded at Fey. "Aye. Though we can at least hope that there's some sort of course of action."

She gasped at the mention of experiments being done on the poor thing... she vowed then and there that she'd win this war even if it meant giving up her life to save this poor child and many others like her.

Working out the worst of the knots she tried to sooth the girl back into slumber,s he needed it to heal herself. "We can only hope, and maybe delicately point them on the right path."

"Indeed... I would gladly give up my own life to save children like her... They don't deserve this."

*She smiled lightly, ears just drooped forward as she blinked tilting her head to one side with a small shy smile* But master did teach me stuffs.. and he did save me from.. worse.. he is usually kind... and..and he taught me the basics of.. m.magic...

Stroking her hair Fey smiled, "And indeed that is more than most would do, but you have the right to decide what it is you want, without someone to tell you what it is you shall do. And when we win this war that choice will be yours."

The girl nodded. "At least he gave you that much... but you still deserve the chance to make your own decisions and to just be... well, a child..."

*The girl just tilted her head confused, frowning as she blinked her tail floofing out as she then squirmed hugging lightly to her tail* M..mrr...?

She sighed. "Let me put it this way... you don't deserve to live the life of a slave, and when we win this war, you won't have to any longer." she said with a smile.

"It's okay, we know that you've no idea that life can be different than it has been. You'll see, freedom is both a burden and a gift. For now, rest, you've done your part, I'll help and watch for those that come in."

*Her jade eyes frowned in confusion gazing away from them and to the floor, squeaking lightly as she shook heavier, her tail fluffing out* But..but.. I am my master's...

"For now, yes." her eyes were sad and deep. "But one day you will be your own master, and that will be even more fulfilling than you could imagine."

The girl nodded at what Fey said. "She speaks the truth, but for now... just rest..."

*She just nodded as she drifted back to sleep, frowning slightly but it quickly relaxed off her face, the small, pale child just curled up into a tightknit ball*

Demagische couldn't help but sigh. "It's sad that she doesn't know any better that what she knows now..."

"But it is all she's known, and that will not change unless we win," she looked up as a small creature ran into the room and paused by her. Takin the note it held she sighed. "I'm afraid duty calls, keep her safe for now and I will have your back in battle when next we meet." Fey shifted the drowsy child to Dem's lap and stood to leave. "Blessed be, and fight well."

*she squirmed, murmuring groggily as she was passed over, just blinking up into Dema's eyes as she smiled broadly, groggy and just gave her a light, sleepy hug*
