"It means more then you think." He said without bothering to look at her. He never explained what he meant, then again why bother, she wouldn't know. He wasn't really that weak of a person mentally or physically.But he wasn't a fool either, he knew the thoughts that crossed other's minds let alone how they viewed him. He wasn't looking for her to feel sorry for him, hell he had made it this far in his life without anyone doing such a thing.

There were other reasons he said what eh did though, he didn't always have complete control over his demonic half. As odd as that sounds there were times it took over, he didn't want that to happen. Though sooner or later he would part ways with this female to ensure what happened last time didn't repeat it's self.

After she laid down he finally sighed before speaking again. "I'll go, but if it starts looking bad don't bother trying to smooth things out." He shrugged a little "aside from that I can't really die for the time being so I wouldn't be too concerned anyway." Maybe one day she'd understand why each time he mentioned he couldn't die he'd say for now or the time being.. though probably only Vaden really knew the answer.

Elvara sighed "Yeah whatever" She said before turning her back to him. Elvara didnt know what to think of everything that has happened since she had met the male behind her. No use thinking about it....so she simply let her mind sleep.

She awoke early morning and stood stretching. Looking over to Zek she paused. He almost looked peacefull while he sat there leaned into the tree. Her thoughts strayed to other things before she shook her head "Get up!" She yelled and laughed a little as the male before her jumped "
We have a date with some wolves" She said with a smile.

"for fucks sake!" hr hissed at her. "can't you act normal at least once? geese" He shook his head before standing, though he still half leaned against the tree. not like he had been sleeping or anything, but still her sudden call out wasn't expected.

"well lead on, I hardly know this area." He shrugged a little, this wasn't a good area to not know where you were suppose to be going in but still. It seemed she knew the way so why worry too much about it. Though he did have a slight worry in the back of his mind, he had dealt with beast tribes before.. most voiced very clearly how much they detested demons, even a half blooded one. That fact alone was probably half of his cause to want to rid that very part of him from his body.

Elvara nodded her head as she turned and began walking humming a tune with her hands held behind her back just under the hilt of each sword. Elvara walked and hummed for a long while until she suddenly turned right then continued on.

It was high noon before Elvara stopped. "Okay...I think that should be far enough" She said with a nod. Then as if on cue three abnormaly large wolves stepped from the trees around them "I knew you were fallowing us" She said looking to the large midnight black wolf infront of her.

Then that wolf charged and Elvara stood there with a smile hearing Zek behind her yell something. Elvara then laughed as she landed on the ground with a fully changes Maya ontop of her. Strong legs curled on either side of her waist and strong hands placed on each shoulder "ELVARA!" The wolf girl said in a smile and she smiled back.

"Hello Maya!" She said before being aloud to sit up. "My you have growen since I last saw you" Elvara said with a smile looking at the young women before her. "Well when was the last time you came and saw me!?" She said in a huff crossing her arms. Elvara sighed "There has been something happening back home" She said looking to Maya.

Maya stopped her pouting and looked to Elvara with a serious look "What kind of happenings?" Maya said "Um....a deamon gate opening" She said to her with a little shrug on her shoulders. Soon she stood and looked to the male behind her "This is Zekrak" She said indicating to the male behind her.

This earned two growls from the two wolves that almost stood guard over the male. "He has deamon blood in him" Maya said with a growl smelling the air. At that Elvara turned and looked to her "Yes but he is a friend and will do nothing to harm you unless you try and harm him" She said slightly "I found that out" She said with a bit of laughter.

"Trust me hes a good friend" She said to Maya and she got a smile in return "If hes good with you then hes good to me!" She said before walking over and standing right infront of Zek and bowed a little "Welcome to the northen forest" She said before standing "I am queen Maya of the northern tribe. As long as I am in power you are safe within these borders" She said smiling slightly.

With that said the two wolves on either side changed as well and there stood to tall large males with tails and ears and the lower half furry wolf feet clawed at the toe. They both walked past the male with a nod of the head. "See...told you so" Elvara said with a smile before turning and fallowing the others Maya included.

He saw the whole blood comment coming a mile away, though he kept his mouth shut with a rather unimpressed look as if asking if they had to go there. Even after Elvara said that he was with her the two guards seemed to still keep a close watch on him though they kept whatever growls to themselves. Really he couldn't blame him, it was a known fact most with demon blood couldn't control it. Though for most cases he did fairly well with his.

He did however shoot Elvara a short glare when she said he was harmless unless provoked, how the hell would she know he lost pretty damn badly against her the first time. Even if it was on purpose. Though she did catch him training and then the short burst with Ruth.. tsk he needed to watch himself around her or she'd really know he could fight damn well and just held himself back. Though she probably could figure that out already.

He returned the Queen's bow, though he still seemed oddly silent, for him anyway. Though truth be it he had nothing to really say, what was he suppose to say. He felt like he was already walking on thin ice even if he was labeled as a 'friend'. With Elvara he knew all too well that could change in a matter of seconds, he wasn't sure what would happen if she hanged her mind around here.

He sighed a little hearing her say told you so. "how old are you again?" He questioned her rather bluntly before smirking a little, it was more or less a insult though it was a bit of a witty one compared to most he normally threw around. Either way he moved to follow Elvara, he hardly wanted to get lost here. Though he'd manage to find his way out but still.

Elvara crossed her arms with a huff "Hey now your the same way sir!" She said with a little sigh hearing Maya laugh at her "Are you sure you two are not a couple" She asked with a tilt of her head earning a squawk from Elvara "You two fight like one already!" At that Maya ran away with Elvara running after her with lines of skinning an animal.

Soon they stopped at a clearning. In this clearing were huts of different shapes and sizes some having smoke come from holes at the tops of each. "Come on you to lets get you fed then we can talk as to why exactly your here" Maya said and Elvara nodded.

They then were led to a hut at the back of the others. It was larger in size and Maya smiled "My home is yours when you are here" With that she pulled back the thick hide of a door and walked in. Elvara fallowed shortly before Zek. Looking about furs lined the floor keeping it warm as the fire in the middle of the hut heated everything around it.

His ears went back at the sound of the word couple. "I'll gladly keep my freedom thanks.. " he half growled out at the thought, Like hell he planned to settle down, let alone with this female. He'd rather cut his own arm off then do that. Or that's what he was thinking anyway. Though he smirked a little watching Elvara run after the wolf Queen, though the two guards seemed to look at one another and at him about as lost at what to do as he was. Though they seemed to not wish to run after.

He nudged Elvara before speaking "I'll just wait outside, this is your deal not mine.. " He didn't want to tell her really he had a almost sickening feeling in hi stomach, though he was sure this place had a few demon wards at the least.. though his advantage of being a half blood was that he could walk through most wards. But that didn't mean there was no affects from them if exposed for a extended amount of time or if there was enough of them. Not only that but figured the two could use time alone anyway to catch up on whatever they wished.

Elvara gave him a nod before she entered the room. There is when she sat and spoke to Maya. Elvara explained everything that was going on from the very first detail to the last and even the quest she was about and where she was heading. Maya nodded her head "So I was woundering if you could help me and make this trip shorter by hitching a ride up north" Elvara said with a little smile and a tilt of her head.

Maya sighed a little "Well we do have a group going up there tomorrow at dawn" She said "They should reach the base of the mountains by night fall" She said slightly. "But lets see with the extra bodies and supplise...about an hour longer then that huh..." Maya sat there in thought. She then nodded her head "Well okay great!" She said "They can take you in the morning. I will make sure all arangements are made and a sled is drawen up" She said and Elvara gave her a look "Oh...they are taking the east portal to the north" And Elvara nodded "Okay"

Even outside he wasn't fairing as well as he'd like to be. It was a rather odd feeling to explain to anyone but it was something like having your very chest crushed without any weight. Though these weren't all that strong so it wasn't anything he couldn't live with. just being inside of that building had made it a little harder to breath with a slight form of claustrophobia appearing with the inability to breath correctly.

Though looking at him you'd never know he was having any problems, he had gotten pretty good at hiding most things over the years. He found no one cared anyway so why bother showing if he was in pain or not. Though even as he walked around a little he noticed the looks and growls he got from the others in this village.

He hated it, he'd never done anything to wrong anyone here yet they all looked at him as if he had killed someone they were close to. He use to make a joke with Vaden that he wanted to be banished just to meet his father and beat the living crap out of the one who had cursed his life.

Elvara soon left the tent with Maya behind her "Okay so be back her at dawn and the group will be ready to go" Elvara nodded her head "Okay thanks" She said before walking off to find Zek. When she found him one look at him and his body language told her that something was wrong and she could only guess. She gave a little sigh as she walked over to him "Come on...lets go make camp" She said before walking off.

Not waiting to see if he was fallowing she left the area of the settlement and walked a little ways away just far enough away. That is when Elvara made a large fire infront of her. One to withstand the cold night ahead of them. She then leaned back on the tree behind her "Our ride leaves at dawn so get some rest"

He gave her a odd look at the word camp, why not just stay here? It'd be warmer here then if they went off to make camp somewhere. He never bothered to question her choice as he followed her. Though he had to admit he was glad to leave, between the low growls and the wards he wasn't sure how much more he could have stood for the night. Not that he'd do anything but still.

When she was done setting everything up and spoke again he frowned a little figuring now was as good a time as any to ask. "Why didn't you just stay in the village? I know that's warmer then sleeping out here. Though to be honest the cold doesn't affect me." He shrugged a little, there were a few things that played into that, being a demon and having a natural fire control ability. The two seemed to mix well together and his natural body temperature was higher then most beings. Not to the point where you could really tell by looking at him, but if you were close enough you could, needless to say it was a pain in the ass to know if he was sick or not.

Elvara crossed her arms and shrugged a little "I have been here more then once" She said "I know that there is deamon wards all over that settlement" She said slightly 'What putting some up my self" She said "And I dont care who you are. If deamon blood is present it would hurt or at least be uncomfortable" She said slightly

Elvara knew and could sence the magic within the little village and she wouldnt want to put that on anyone unless she wanted to and for some reason she didnt want to. "So...camp here and everyones happy" She said sticking her hands out to the heat of the flames.

He frowned a bit listening to her. "I would have made out, I wasn't complaining was it?" It almost ticked him off a little to think she knew that, what else did she know aside from his weaknesses and how to get a hold of them. But if she knew that much there was probably a few things that she knew, like the fact he could lose control of his powers. Yet she still let him follow her around. He finally came to the thought she had to be half insane.

"Happy huh.. your going to freeze if your expecting a fire to keep you warm for the night."He had half a mind to do something but decided against it not really wanting to get a dagger to his neck again just yet. "But suite yourself, so far anything I've said has gone in one ear and out the other so " He shrugged a little "what do i know."

Elvara hissed at that "I know very well what I can handle thank you" She said slightly. Taking a cloak from her pack she through the thick cloth around her shoulders and tied it on before wrapping it up around exposed flesh. The night was going to be a long one.

It was about half way through the night and Elvara shivered. Waking she looked about and saw that the roaring fire had died down. Standing she walked away before comming back silently and added logs to the fire. Soon the flames grew and she sat back down. Wrapping the cloak around her she brought her knees to her chest. The north was never this cold. She thought as she shivered a little bowing her head.

He shrugged off her hiss as she seemed determined to take care of herself. Sure he figured she could but still, this was the north. It was blood freezing at the night hours. It was probably a odd site that he wasn't bothered by it, not all demons had his 'gift' as you could call it at the moment.

He slept off and on most nights, this was no different. He ws awake by the time she had gotten up to rebuild the fire. He never said a word, he could pull off being asleep if he needed to. Though for the moment he just watched her, still trying to figure out what she was gaining by letting him follow her.

Though his thoughts were disrupted a little as he frowned noticing she was still shivering, sure she had been most of the night but if she stayed asleep he wasn't going to bother her. He continued to sit there a few moments before he sighed and stood from his spot. He couldn't take this any longer she'd never get back to sleep at this rate.

He walked over to next to her and sat down once more before he seemed to think of what to do for a split second. "You stab me I swear I'll never bother to help you again, including if your hanging on a cliff ledge." he warned her before he moved a little and pulled her towards him. Though she did protest he snapped a little at her to stop it.

After a small fight he finally got her where he wanted her, nearly sitting in his lap as he had his chest against her back holding her close. Though he hardly looked happy with this by his expression. "was that so damn hard? geese." he said as she seemed to calm down a little, what the hell did she think he was trying to do.

Elvara sat there in her own little world until she heard the male speak "If you stab me..." At that she eeped a little and tried to fight against the male forcing her to move. She tried to push away until she felt warmness all around her. The male was now sitting behind her pulling her close so her back rested on a warm chest.

Elvara shivered a little not from the cold but from the contact. She pushed away again and got a protest from the male behind her as his arms now wrapped up and around her to keep her in place. Soon her movements died and she sat there.

Resting her head on one of the males arms the last shiver ran trhough her body before warmth took over. She was so greatfull for it she soon felt her eyes get heavy. The warmth combined with the sudden feeling of safeness made her sleepy. She brought her hand up and placed it on the arm of the male right infront of her head. With a little queeze she said "Thank you..." Before drifting off to sleep.

Even with the thank you he frowned a bit, he didn't want her thanking him. Hell he didn't do anything, but he couldn't live with himself knowing she'd be up most of the night shivering. Really he had no intention of going to sleep again so what did it matter if he helped her in the process of staying up.

Before morning managed to come he did end up falling back into a restful state, though he never moved really. His mind never had a second thought of the females body against his, though it could very easily. Though this did trigger a different memory, one he'd rather forget in truth. Even though he was still asleep his ears were back and he had a bit of a expression like he was struggling against something.

A few moments later his eyes shot open as he let out a few quickened breaths, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. 'Tsk idiot.. you know better.' He scolded himself in his mind before moving the arm he had free to his head and brushing a few strands of hair back. Though it was about that time he even noticed that the drow female was still there. The odd thought was that she'd wake up and stab him forgetting that she was thanking him last night.

When Zek moved Elvara woke. Elvara was ready to flipp out on the male behind her when she remembered what happened the night before. The male behind her didnt have to do what he did but she was greatfull that he had.

So she stayed in the place she was not wanting to move from the warmness that was all around her. She opened her eyes slightly looking around. It was almost dawn and time to leave soon. Moving slightly she stretched her arms before her cracking her back before she moved slightly.

Elvara moved enough to peer at the male behind her. She didnt know what to say or what to do so she backed up a little and did the only thing that came to mind. Bowing her head low she whispered a light thank you before quickly turning and standing. The wolves were probably already to do "Come one..."She said slightly to him "Our ride awaits"

He frowned a little before standing. "stop thanking me, I didn't do anything." He'd have done the same with anyone else if it came down to it. So he saw no need to be thanked for it. But she was right they did need to move, though to admit it the night wasn't that bad. It was a thought that he'd gladly do it again, but on the same thought he wasn't sure he trusted her to not stab him the next time either.

He followed her after they were ready to move out, she knew these areas better then he did. Then again he had only been this far once before and then he never bothered to go into the forests. "So with their help we'll get to that second item your questing after?" He shrugged a little, he wasn't sure he saw the purpose in this, from what eh knew she had no idea on the location of the 3rd item.

Elvara nodded her head as he spoke "They will take us to the edge of the northern mountains" She said "After that its a hike up the steep" She said slightly "All I know is that the item is some where there" She said slightly as they continued to walk "There is a tale of an old cave housing a carved library of stone" Elvara said "Its said to hold the oldest books of our time of everything" She said with a shrug of her shoulders.

'Though the last known where abouts of the book was this cave that hasnt been found for hundrads of years" She said slightly with a sigh before they entered the settlement of the wolves "So...the hunt begins" She said smiling though she was interupted as Maya walked over "Okay so they are ready to take you" She said "And here go put this on" Maya said forcing Elvara into a near by hut.

After a few moments Elvara stepped out. She had leather and fur shoes covering her feet with thick leather and fur strapped pants. Her thick yet thin jacket covered her arms in long sleaves and a fur lined hood covered her head. Mittens hung from her jacket. "Its great!" She exclamed to Maya with a smile. Maya then turned and handed Zekrak a jacket as well. "This is for you" She said.

Maya then pointed to a group of four wolves. One had a wooden slay attached to the back and a collar around its neck "Its bigg enough for two. Sorry in order to get there on time one carrage is all the extra waight they can do" Elvara sighed. It was going to be a long trip.

Walking over to the sleigh she looked at the cupped in seat. One would have to sit infront of the other. "Well....you first" She said looking to Zek who gave a grmble that she ignored and watched as he got in. Sitting with his back against the support and his legs bent to lean on the walls of either side. Elvara gulped silently to herself before she fallowed right after.

Sitting down she gave a moment of protest as Maya began packing them in with furs and ties "Oh come now with this speed your will be greatfull for the warmth. Elvara was about to protest saying Zek had more then enough but she stopped before the words even reached her lips. "Fine" Was all she said slightly pouting.

"Okay...and off you go" Maya said as she stepped back. As soon as she was clear the wolves gave a slight howl before they began moving. A light walk turned into a run. Each step taking them faster. The wind was fridgid and Elvara turned her head burring it into the warmth of Zeks chest with a whimper not caring about anything but the warmth the male provided.

He never protested to any of this really, though the thought that they'd be lost in the bloody middle of the mountains wasn't something he'd call fun by any means, sure he might not have a affect by the cold but his powers were hardly at the top of their game in the northern areas. Though he never voiced his thoughts on it either way.

Really he expected Elvara to protest more but she didn't. He wasn't going to say a word, whatever traveling help seemed great if they had a unknown amount of time to be stranded in the mountains. Though maybe the luck would be with them and they'd find this lost cave with ease. Somehow he thought that was unlikely.. Though there was something else in these mountains they were headed to that he'd rather not find... but he knew his luck with finding things he wanted to not find.

After the speed had increased he flinched a little as Elvara seemed to move and bury her face into his chest. He was hardly expecting that, he figured she'd be stubborn and stick it out in her own little corner. Though he could hardly blame her, the wind was harsh in these parts he was even keeping his head down from the bit of sting it was providing as they moved.

they had to deal with this trip for how long? most of the day from what he had gathered, this was hardly going to be the nicest trip he had even been on, though it could be worse they could be on dragon back.. that moves far faster then this. Though he did laugh as she seemed to cling more before he spoke looking down at her to prevent his eyes from stinging. "going to make it?"

Elvara nodded her head a little "Im used to warm tropic weather though so this is freezing" She said with a shiver as she couldnt help but burry further into the male behind her. She sought out the warmth that he was giving and she didnt care at the moment if the male thought aobut it other wise.

The day was long as they traveled and the night grew closer. The sky began to darken before the pace of the wolves slowed a little though they still ran. One of the wolves slowed down and growled a greating before speaking "About another hour M'lady and lord and we will be there" The voice said before the wolf picked up more speed to get to the front of the pack once more.

He had to laugh a little thinking about it. "Keep forgetting your use to the tropics, geese you would have froze to death last night and you'd never have said a word.." He shook his head a little. "damn stubborn." It was still a little funny to him, he never pictured her to be on to admit to anything let alone cling to someone even if it was just for warmth.

Though after it was getting darker and the wolf spoke he frowned a little. "cut the lord crap and we'll get along better." he hissed out a little. Sure he knew they were probably told to show respect but still that hardly meant he had to like it. If he could trade places with a commoner he'd damn well do it in a heart beat.

The hour ticked by slowly, it seemed the wolves finally made it to where ever they were planning to leave the two. Even after they had stopped Elvara seemed to still cling to him. He looked at her a bit oddly as he moved a hand to nudge her a little. "you can move any time" Though this area felt like it was even colder then the last, probably true for the most part. His idly thought was he prayed that they wouldn't be here long, he wasn't sure how long he could stand her being glued to him.

Elvara sat there not really willing to give up the warmth until she heard Zek speak and then realized that the sled had stopped. She pushed away slightly before she jumped back "Um....yes" She said standing before looking at the wolf guides "Thank you" Shes said with a sslight bow. This got a growl in answer before something was spoken.

"There is a town two miles from here" The wolf "Though this is as far as we bring you" It said before bowing its head "Have a safe journy" With that the massive creatured turned and ran off into the brush leaving a cold Elvara and a pissed Zek behind "Well then...two miles lets get walking" She said as she turned treding through the snow.

He shrugged a little. "oh sure just two fucking miles hah.. in the middle of the snow... at out luck a blizzard could start up." He frowned a little before rolling his eyes and moving to follow her. That would be the luck they had wouldn't it.. he hoped he was wrong, two miles wasn't that bad as long as Elvara didn't freeze to death in the mean time.

As they walked he noticed she seemed to slow down a few times, this was probably as close to hell in the mortal realm as she'd find. "Don't you stop moving, I swear I'm not going to carry you if you fall over." He warned her, though he knew he was lying but maybe the bluff would get a reaction out of her to encourage her to keep to her stubborn ways and would keep her moving.

This was a bit harsh though to toss someone out in as far as weather was concerned, let alone someone who was hardly use to the snow. He frowned a bit seeing as he got no real reply out of her, was it really affecting her that much. "Tsk where the hells that prideful mouth that you normally have, don't tell me the colds turned you into a damned mute." Sure it was a little harsh but he had his reasons for taunting her and trying to get a rise out of her.

Elvara didnt care what the male behind her babbled about. She had only one thought on her mind, to keep moving. She couldnt stop, every muscle was stiff and burned from the cold, Her cheeks hurt to the thouch from the wind even though she hand a hand up closing her hood as far as she could. Her other arm held her chest, bushing her coat in to try and keep warm.

Though Zek now was starting to get on her nerves "Would you just shut up already and leave walk in god damn peace!" She said "Noooo instead you have to be rude and mean and crule" She began on a rank making her steps faster and more determind from her anger. "I cant even keep a thought in my head because of this fucking cold now I have to put up with a talking half breed behind me that wont shut up!" She cursed out her fustrations a little harshly.

Even though she was cursing her head off at him he smirked a bit moving to follow her instead speed. He had accomplished what he wasn't to do, with her talking even if it was her yelling her head off at him she was less focused on the cold and more focused at how pissed she was at him. Though this hardly stopped him as he kept picking at her from time to time during the few hours they needed to walk in order to keep her temper going and it seemed to keep her focused on something other then the fucking weather.

After a while when they finally got to the village he was still rather pleased with himself as he started to walk past her but paused a moment. "You can call me rude if you want but you kept moving didn't you?" He shrugged a little before he went back to walking leaving her standing there a moment. Sure he might act like a idiot at times ok most of the time, but it seemed some of his actions had motives behind them voiced or not.

Elvara stood there for a moment a little shocked at the males statement. Yes it did keep her moving. Elvara gave a little smile as she forced her legs to keep moving. They were at the edge of the village and she couldnt give up now.

Walking into the village she looked around before a greatful sigh escaped her lips at what she saw "This way" She said turning and going to a tavern with thick doors. Walking in she shivered as she lowered her hood and stomped her feet on the ground. Walking over to the bar tender she smiled "H-hello sir...room please" She said "For two" She added at the end with out another thought.

The middleaged big bearded male smile "Yes mam' just the room for ya" He said handing her a key "Up them stairs there to your right last door on the left" He said with a smile 'Biggest room I gots, two beds and a bath" He said with a smile and a nod. "Thanks" She said slightly before looking to Zek then walking to the stairs.

Elvara was sure she had frost bite on her fingers and cheeks. Quite frankly she was chilled to the bone. Reaching the door she was greatfull to find that upon entry thick blankets and furs covered the beds. Taking her boots off slowly elvara walked over to one of the beds and sat down as a deep shiver ran through her body.

This wasnt going to do. Looking around Elvara smiled "Oh thank the goddess!" She said before darting over to a fire place at the end of the two beds with two chairs infront of it. Taking some of the logs from beside the place she placed them down and looked around for a match. She sighed when none was to be seen as he sat back in one of the chairs shivering.

He followed her figuring she was going to seek out a tavern right away. Not that he blamed her, getting out of the cold was something she should do that was certain. It was a little odd though whatever he had said to her must have sunk in because her mood seemed to change from the pissed one she had before to a slightly more cheerful one, though the idea of warmth might have encouraged this as well.

She seemed to rush up the steps and towards the room, he had to laugh slightly as he followed her keeping to his pace and not bothering to keep up with her. Though by the time he got there she was sitting in the chair in front of the fire place with no fire going. Walking over he made a slight hand gesture towards the fireplace before it seemed to burst alive. "you know asking for help never hurt anyone."

He shrugged a little as she gave him a bit of a look before he walked off. He had already dis-guarded his weapon when he walked into the room, not that eh really needed it around these parts he had one of the strongest elements at his command for the snowy region. Though at the same time it was at it's weakest in these areas as well.

She probably wasn't going to move for a while so he spoke again before leaving the room. "I'll be back later.. " Though he noticed the look she gave him but he waved it off. What did she care if he did anything or not, let alone he didn't even have plans to do what he did last time they were in town here. Really he was just giving her some space, sooner or later she'd take a bath, the warm water would help quite a bit.

Even though he said he'd be back later he never traveled that far, he just went back downstairs and sat. He couldn't drink he knew that, but sometimes you could hear some entertaining information if you waited around a tavern long enough.

Elvara was greatfull at that moment that Zek came over and lit the fire for her. She sighed as the flames licked at the logs giving the room some light and much needed heat. After Zek left she huffed a little. Standing she swore as her muscles burned with each step. Undressing she placed everything off to the side and went to the bathing room.

Running the hot water she inspected her hands. Three out of ten fingers had mild frost bite. Nothing that she couldnt heal with some herbs she had. After the bath was ran she got into the tub and gave a stiff sigh as he forced her self to sit down. She had a feeling it was going to be a long night.

He was about to head back up to the room seeing as it had been a hour or two at the least but he paused as he over heard a conversation. It was a traveler from the looks of it and a merchant according to the dress. He smirked a little hearing a few tales go between them, one seemed to be what Elvara was searching for or it sounded like it anyway.

After a moment he stood from where he was and walked over to the table the two were at. Though the traveler stopped as soon as he was within ear shot or at least closer ear shot. He grinned a bit. "So i just over heard something... I'd advise you tell me about it."

The traveler seemed to laugh before calling Zek a half breed mutt. This caused his ears to drop back as he grabbed the man by his collar and slammed him against the wall. He normally never spoke his birth rights aloud but being called a mutt was something that seemed to set him over the edge. "I don't think thats any way to speak to the prince of the Eastern dorw kingdom." he growled at the man, his face seemed to go white as soon as he was done speaking. This traveler knew he had fucked up now.

"m-mi-lord.. I.." he started to stutter as Zek held him a few inches from the ground and still pressed against the wall. Though he was still a bit annoyed "shut up and just tell me what I want to know, about that cave you found... where was it and how did you get there from here." He hissed out a few more questions to get further information and waited for the man to answer them.

Once his questioning was answered he dropped the man as he fell to the floor still shaking a little before using the wall to get back to his feet slowly. "See was that so damn hard? you didn't need to insult anyone and this would have turned out better." He moved and started to walk off and towards the stairs to go to the room. Sure there were other threats he could have used, but he didn't feel like starting a fight in the tavern not when he knew the drow female needed the rest, so being kicked out wasn't a option he had.

Elvara was already redressed in her under garments and under the thick blankets of the bed. Even with the heat in the room combind with the blankets she shivered a little and sighed. It seemed it was going to be a long night. Though she turned her head and sat up the blankets falling as Zek walked in. She looked him "Welcome back..." She said slightly.

Elvara was to sore and tired plus cold to start an argument with the male before her as he closed the door. So she said the first thing that came to mind. Though as he turned she shivered again slightly moving her hands under the blankets her shirt bunching up slightly from the action.

He looked at her oddly, was she still shivering? Though he had to keep reminding himself she lived in the tropics so it was understandable that she was freezing even with everything being more then warm in the room. Though the welcome back was a little unexpected. He thought for sure that she was going to get on his case and assume the worse as far as where he had been.

"well.. thats not the greeting i was expecting but i won't complain. He shrugged a little before speaking again. "want the news now or later?" He grinned a little, of course she said just tell her whatever it was, though she seemed confused at news. "I think I found that cave your seeking out.. though I had to 'bribe' the information from a traveler.. " He laughed slightly. "either way it sounds about right and it's so far out of the way that it could be what your seeking.

He went on to tell her the information he pried from the traveler, though he never did tell her how he got such information for free.. But by this time he had moved to sit on the other bed watching her a little as she said a few words and that was about it. He had to ask after she was still staying there shivering. "You going to make it over there? it's kind of impressive your still shaking like a leaf." He wasn't trying to make fun of her but it was rather a feat.

Elvara listened to everything he said intently. So...a cave made of pillers at the top of the mountain. Sure it just had to be the freaking top didnt it! Elvara sighed as she thought about it. She was going to have to get some more clothes or at least thicker ones. Elvara then raised her head as the male spoke. She meerly shrugged before laying back down and covering up.

"Even if I dont it shouldnt matter to you right?" She said almost sourly as another shiver went through her body. "Just means your rid of me yes" Elvara said curling into a ball shivering again "Im used to hot and warm winds...the slightest chill and it takes me forever to warm up alone no matter what heat or cover I have" She said simply cursing her home right about now.

He frowned a little "well hate to tell you this, but something happens to you i have no further reason to be out here. I sure as hell don't feel like traveling all the way back because coming all this was pointless because the person that dragged me out here froze to death." He laughed slightly thinking about it, really he just didn't want to go back period if traveling with her was keeping everyone off his back then who cared were she was going.

As she seemed to shiver again and curl up into a ball under the sheets he sighed a little. Though he made a note to check for her weapons, she must have been freezing seeing as she had left from what he counted all of them to the side. He shouldn't do this really if anyone walked in for whatever damned reason this was going to look bad in more then one way.

Though after a moment of watching her shiver and shift under the sheets and hearing a few curses as she tried to get warm already he made up his mind and acted upon it. Prying the covers from her he moved them before laying down behind her and pulling her close. Though she quickly protested, not that he didn't expect her to. "just shut up and ask for help once in a while. Damn your so stubborn!"

Though in truth he was starting to fight with his own mind for this action. The fact he was in the same bed as her was sending his thoughts into a fit even though he shoved most of them to the side. He wasn't going to lose control of himself not when all he was doing as trying to help her. She had been putting up with him this whole trip so this was the least he could do. He had kept his clothes on so things could have been worse, he normally slept with his shirt off at the least.

Elvara squawked at protested as the blankets were removed and Zek joined her replacing the thick covers and pulling her into a warm chest.She struggled and cursed something before her muscels all but gave out and every movement she had stopped as she curled into the warmth behind her with a little shiver from the feeling.

When Zek spoke about asking for help Elvara wanted to laugh but she figered a little payback was needed so she couldnt help her next movements. That is when Elvara turned within the males arms curling up into his chest head in his neck "Fine..." She said slightly "Help me stay warm....please" She said as another little shiver tore through sore muscles. Placing a hand by her head she dug it into the males neck showing how ice cold they were.

"I was kidding about you asking.. " He said with a slight laugh hardly expecting to hear the words please from her. Though his ears went back a little as she moved a hand and he hissed at her. are you sure your not undead..." she felt like she had no blood cycling through her hand at all, it was probably true if she had been shivering the whole time he was downstairs.

Though after she calmed down he sighed a little and spoke again. "just get some sleep, the sooner we find whatever you were looking for the sooner you can get out of the north." This was going to be a long night on his half or that's what he thought at the least. Though he'd probably end up dozing off as well after a few hours, but he still had his doubts of trusting her this close, most drows slept with a blade somewhere..

Elvara was already past listening to the male that held her. The only thoughts that she had was on the warmth that was around her. Slowly in time her body uncurled and her shivering stopped leaving way for even breathing and calmness as she fell asleep.

Waking the morning Elvara stayed where she was. The warmth around her to nice to say good by to at the moment. Though as she thought aobut not moving she thought about why. Was it really to do with just the warmth...or was it the fact that she felt safe to? Elvara lightly pushed away enough to look at the sleeping male before her.

Zekrak looked so peacefull in the moment of slumber. His eyes shut some of his hair falling into his face. Elvara couldnt help her next actions. Reaching a hand up and out she lightly brushed those stray hairs out of his face and behind the tip of a pointed ear softly not noticing the male had awoke.

He did eventually fall into a restful state, though it was hardly restful. His dreams plagued his mind again, more images he'd never get from his head. Though he seemed a little more in control of them this time around not waking to whatever images were infesting his mind and not flinching in his sleep.

Though there was a odd touch that made him wake up finally. It wasn't to a sight he was expecting. What was she doing? He wanted to have a panic attack right here and then. Right before her hand would have brushed against his ear it dropped causing her to flinch a little.

He was still in a bit of shock at what she was dong, sure it was harmless enough but why was she looking at him that way. "can I help you?" He finally said causing her to take notice finally that he wasn't asleep. He was still trying to wrap his head around what she was thinking, she had looked so relaxed with what she was doing it was almost scary.

He wanted to move but he couldn't he had a fear in the back of his mind that she might stab him for startling her by speaking so suddenly. He hoped he was wrong with that thought but it was a possibly.

Elvara eeped a little before she moved and got out of the bed "Nothing...I wasnt doing anything" She said before grabbing her clothing and getting dressed. Placing everything on her she turned to him "Well....um...Im going to go get some better dress" With that she turned and walked out of the door with out a second word.

Elvara's mind was all over the place. What was she to think about really? She didnt even know why she reached her hand out to brush at the males hair...and the fac that he was awake! She growled as she walked out side the crisp morning snow crunching under her feet.

After a few moments of walking she found a shop. Walking in she looked about before looking to the young women shop keep "I need everything that will keep me warm for a trip up the mountain" She said before adding "cost is nothing" With that the women went to work and she soon left the little shop.

Standing outside she felt warm aside from the little wind nipping at her cheeks. Walking back to the tavern she walked in and found Zek sitting at a table. She sighed before walking to the bar tender and ordering a meal before joining him in silence.
