You have to put them in your signature so that other people can click on them and feed but now, you can do the quest with them and you able to feed them at the same time they are keeping your pet active and levels up in each stage when you do the quests. Best if you read the guide on the forum. It's explained everything on there.

Well, it's all of the basic understanding, really. I even goes on the Pet sites and the Avatar sites. Some pet sites do have Avatar for the users.
