"Likewise. Take care of yourself." Makoto got up from her seat, and walked out of the coffee shop.
Brute? That's a first. She laughed at the thought of indirectly being called a brute. She stood outside of the coffee shop for a few moments, contemplating on her next move. I don't feel like going to the HQ anymore. I'll head back to the apartment to grab some more equipment... She sighed. ...I think I underestimated my potential targets. Makoto took a turn into another alleyway, several blocks away from the construction site where she met Kyd. She took out the cartridge from her handgun. "Hm...ten bullets left. Plus two cartridges of twelve. Enough for a small confrontation, but I hope I don't run into a group of Skulls." She reloaded the ten-bullet cartridge, and holstered the gun into her shoulder holster. She put on her jacket, and continued on her way. |
Roland sat up at his desk and opened the top drawer. He reached in and pulled out his revolver and underarm holster and sighed as he took off his coat and put on the holster. He hated wearing it and even more so carrying a gun at all, but he had to. The last time he left the precinct without it he was reprimanded heavily. With a smooth motion he put his coat back on and headed out of the precinct.
Roland stretch lazily and placed his hands back into his pockets. He looked around for Esmun. "Surely he would be around here somewhere." He thought to himself. |
KYD
Kyd sighed at rolled his eyes back. "Theater. That crumbling piece of shit over there." He supposed they could just leave him there. Or something. He'd somehow get everything that was strewn around in the seats and find a new place the next morning. ...Hopefully that damn hunter won't get here before. |
Upon hearing the location from Kyd, Jubeii started to move towards the crumbling theater. "That wasn't so bad now was it?" She believed that he would probably move after this but that wasn't her problem. What Kyd did after her help was none of her business; she just wanted to get this over with quickly especially with Vincent being in not to good of a mood.
|
Makoto returned to her apartment, and walked to her dining table. She examined her equipment, and began to think of what to do. I'm dealing with acrobatic gangsters and potentially dangerous police officers too. I don't want to assume the police would attack me, but... Makoto slipped on her tactical vest and began to adjust the straps to make the vest fit perfectly on her upper body.
God dammit! Too tight. She struggled with the straps. Mom, I didn't need these genes, you know. I know you were joking around about the guys in the dojo chasing after me, but...ha ha... Makoto paused, and several tears fell from her eyes. The memory of the fire that killed her family and friends came back to her. No. This is not the time to remember...this. She wiped her eyes with her jacket sleeve, and put several ammo clips for her handgun and her MP7 into the ammo pouches on the tactical vest. Makoto loaded a clip into the MP7 and slung it over her back. I'll start at the construction site again. I'll see if I can get a lead.Makoto took a deep breath, and left the apartment again. |
Esmun took another sip of the black liquid. He was approaching the front of the precinct and noticed a scruffy looking officer, some what bewildered as if he couldn't find something very important to him. As he walked closer he realized it was Roland. Esmun joviality yelled a yo in the mans direction. “Want a doughnut?” He asked offering out his one half bitten sugary confection. “Also this girl gave me something I think you might want to see, she said it was from a skull you arrested.”
|
Roland grabbed the syringe from Esmun. "Hmm... Yeah its one of Kyd's poison cocktails." He glanced over it and then emptied it in the planters by the entrance of the precinct then broke the syringe in half before tossing it in the trash can near by.
Roland placed his hands beck into his pockets. "I didn't arrest anyone today. It seems my luck isn't very good today. And there is no point in dwelling on it." He shrugged with a heavy sigh. "I take it the girl you ran into is the same one I did. So 4 Ryuujins and a skull hunter in one day and I'm nearly out of cigarettes to boot." He looked at Esmun with a slight hopeful look in his eyes. "I don't suppose you have any cigarettes?" |
“Yes, Del... but, um sir why did you do that?” He walked over to the potted plant putting some of the poisoned soil on the napkin. “We needed to test to see what its made of. What if Kyd shoots you? We wont have an antidote.... and four you say.” Shaking his head, Esmun mock saluted with his cup near his lips. “Caffeine is my addiction sir. I am going to go on patrol since my evidence has been destroyed I can pick up another pack of menthols for you if you like?"
|
The dark haired vampire nodded some to Kyd then looked at Jubeii when told where the other was staying. It didn't matter to him nor did he even care where he stayed, it was just getting him there and wanting to do some work on trying to figure out more about the women that was now going to be hunting them. "Alright, we take you as far as you want us to then we will leave you, to do what you need." he said to Kyd.
|
Makoto returned to the construction site as she had planned. She walked into the abandoned building and headed towards the area she attacked Kyd. There was some blood on the floor, left by the wounds she left on her target.
Makoto spotted a small trail of blood, which faded away once the trail went onto the cluttered alleyway. Damn. No good. I'll just go into the alleyway where that officer confronted that other woman. Makoto left the building, vaulted a small fence, and ran towards the other alleyway. |
KYD
"Just dump me inside and go away," Kyd growled. Then he sighed and added, "Better hurry up. If she comes back, I won't be the only corpse out on the damn streets tomorrow." As for the leg...A newly-washed shirt was already in order; borrowing another scrap of cloth for a better bandage wouldn't be too big of a deal. Kyd wasn't good at making bandages. Just don't need anyone else's fucking work on me. |
Roland sighed. He shoot a disappointed look at Esmun before shaking his head. "I'd rather not bring something as dangerous as that poison to any place that is controlled by the hunters. We were fortunate enough that that hunter gave that to you in the first place. If you are going to take it to the labs then do it before going out on patrol. But you better be ready to shoulder the responsibility when something bad happens."
|
Esmun's face dropped. "Sir.. with all due respect. I am sure that the poison would have been fine in my pocket, in fact it would have taken me less then a minute to put it in the lock box before going on patrol had you simply told me. People don't usually attack me when I give them parking citations." He felt as if he had enough of the poisoned soaked earth that the lab could easily distinguish the mineral deposits from the substances in the poison. "No matter." Esmun, tucked the napkin into his pocket and turned away from his crazy coworker. "Ciao, I have tickets to deliver." His long limbs turned away from the station and headed out into the public. His route usually took him from old Tokyo, to the heart of the new one within an hour if he didn't have to make to many stops.
|
"As you wish then" Jubeii replied. With Vincent helping them along on the other side they finally made their way into the abandoned theater. Once they reached inside Jubeii literally 'dumped' Kyd onto the floor; he had asked for it after all, and then proceeded to leave. "It's about time we head back to our own turf no Vincent?" she asked as she exited the theater. She wanted to get home as soon as possible now.
|
Feeling the other slip away from him a smirk crossed his face as Jubeii just let Kyd go. It was rather an amusing sight to watch as he turned walked away. "Yes, we should be getting back since the others may be gathering around to chit chat about todays events, that have happened so far." he said catching up to Jubeii as he let out a soft yawn.
--- Ashton walked about the old building are looking around her hands in her coat pockets. What an interesting day she thought recalling all that was happening. But what bothered her some was the officer that she came across. In away it was surprising to see he was not effected in any way by the charm or mask she was putting on him. With a quick movement her foot kicked a can as it went flying out a of old broken window near by. "Hmm, he is very different. . . ." was the one thought that wounder in the depths of her mind. |
Maki decided to take a detour on her way back to the current HQ. Not being able to blow off some steam on bandanna man had served only to irritate her more, and then seeing him in action with Kyd and that Hunter had gotten her all riled up again.
Checking to be sure she wasn't being followed, she wandered into an old scrap yard towards the docks. After running off some punks that were scavenging the mounds of rusting junk, she began rearranging some of the piles and melding them together with her Ryuujin powers. She melted bits and pieces of metal into shapes and structures, letting them cool once she'd manipulated them how she wanted them. After a short while of expending her effort and energy on the task, she began to feel tired. It took a bit of effort to use her Ryuujin powers for extended periods. Looking around at what she'd created, she nodded to herself. Soon, she would be able to meld the pieces together into a new base for the Flame Skulls should the need arise. Considering the things that had happened today, they just might need it. After sealing off the entrance to the scrap yard, Maki continued back to the current base. There was no sense in staying out when she knew there were cops roaming about the area. |

He hit the ground rather ungracefully and with a decent amount of cursing, then crawled towards the nearest seat. I'll...get my stuff after I finish blaming the world, he thought while letting loose another string of profanity. It would be wonderful, his leg getting infected right about now. Pulling himself up had eaten up what strength was still left, and Kyd struggled for a moment, then sprawled into the corner seat of the theater and closed his eyes. A catnap should be fine. |
Jubeii grinned underneath her mask. "Tired are you? Well we'll be back home soon enough". Soon she and Vincent made their way back to their building and Jubeii headed to her room located on the top floor. Her room was one of the nicer rooms that hadn't had much wear and tare to it and was painted a slate/smokey grey with a crimson carpet covering the floor. One side of the room had a table and the other had bed. Jubeii made her way over to her bed and collapsed onto it. Today was a tiring day.

~Event~ An explosion rocks the residential area of the slums in the old part of Tokyo. The cries of mothers calling for their children and children calling out for their parents can be heard throughout the ally ways. But all falls quite as toxic fumes muffle and silence the cries forever. The police and fire teams have appeared as close as the can to the scene to try and contain the madness. And after several hours of poison control and fire control the police are finally able to get to ground zero of the explosion which used to be an old apartment building that housed hundreds of families. The horrors they find effect even the most seasoned of officers. Who is responsible? Why attack innocent people? Are only a few of the questions that have no answers. It is up to the police to find out and like it or not the skulls are going to find out as well and god help who ever is responsible if either of them finds them. |
Jubeii woke up to the rumblings and sound of an explosion. She had apparently fallen asleep when she last collapsed onto her bed. Running to the window she moved the curtains aside to see if she could catch a glimps of what was going on. Cop cars where driving up and down the streets and clouds that looked like toxic smoke seemed to still be lingering here and there a couple blocks away. What the hell happened?!An uneasy feeling crept it's way into Jubeii. Something terribly wrong happened.
|
Makoto continued to run through the alleyways of Old Tokyo, until...
Kaboom The ground shook, and Makoto stumbled onto the ground. "What the hell?! An explosion?!" Groups of police cars drove past by with sirens howling down the streets. Makoto exited the alleyway, and watched the cars drive by. Shopkeepers and civilians curiously stepped out of the stores to see what was happening. Without thinking, Makoto sprinted towards ground zero. |
Vincent felt the rumble across the ground as reaching out to hold him self up. Running over to the window to look out the window, seeing smoke, on top of that he could hear the sirens. "This is something I was not expecting. . . ." was the though that came across his mind, leaving his room to head over to Jubeii's. "Jubeii" he called knocking on her door then entering. "Did you see what happened outside?"
--- Sitting at his desk Zaki fell back from his chair, reaching around putting on the head phone to tap into the police line to find out what was happening. Hear that some kind of bomb went off, as they are trying to get everything together to find out what is going on. "This could mean. . . ." as he looked over to the metal cabinet ran over to it pull out a pair of blades. "Gotta scope this out some" as he started to get ready. --- Sliver/purple hair hung over the gold eyes as she heard the explosion happen. "What is happening?" was all she could say, taking a few steps back then making a run for it to the nearest fire escape climb up to get the roof top of the building to see what had happen, seeing the smoke rise up her heart sank. |
Maki was right outside the base when she heard- and felt -the explosion. She ducked inside the decrepit old office building and began taking stock of who was in the base and who wasn't. Whenever explosions happened, the Flames were always the first to be blamed for the incident.
She climbed a few floors up and gazed out of a broken-out window. She had expected the smoke and flames, but not for them to look so odd. "There were chemicals used in that explosion- chemicals we don't use," she muttered. A few of the other Flames on the same floor around her began muttering amongst one another, wondering who or what had caused such destruction. Maki called for nobody to be allowed to leave the base until the commotion died down. "If anyone tries to leave for the next few hours, I'll kick your ass! An explosion like that is going to have everyone out on a damn witch hunt for us Flames." |
Jubeii turned around hearing Vincent's voice. "Yes, I have. Somethings definitely wrong. Do you think we should check it out?" She walked over to Vincent and stood in front of him waiting for a reply. She really wanted to look to see what was going on but she would not drag Vincent into anything he didn't want to do. If he didn't want to go she would go alone.
|
"No I don't mind but I say we put a word to everyone to play it safe and stay put till everything cooled down. We can lurk about since no one would be really looking for us. Maki will be on there list along with Kyd so better go see what has happened. From the looks of how the explosion went they called out fire fighters and Bio hazard team." as he walked away from Jubeii heading out the window with an fire escape to land on. Calling down the latter to look at one of the underling members. "I want you tell everyone to stay put and do not leave they may dispatch people to come out and find us all and bring us in for questioning." he said looking up back over to the area that was hit, the wind blew his hair brushing over his eyes as he lowered his face to hide behind the high collar around neck. "What the hell is happening now. . . "

Roland walked through the rubble of the destroyed apartment building. There was still a few areas where the fire still burned and as he walked near them the flames seemed to dance with a furry that made it look like the flames themselves were angry but soon died down when he was no longer near them.
Roland stopped as he stepped on a small charred teddy bear. He removed his foot and knelt down to pick it up. With a gentle grace he brushed some ash from its face. His heart was heavy with grief but his face showed no emotion. "Sir? This area hasn't been cleared yet." Roland turned his head slightly to see another police officer behind him. "Its fine. The little remaining fires will die out soon and the toxins in this area would have been destroyed by the fires so there is nothing to worry about." He slowly stood up and placed the teddy bear in the other officers hands before walking deeper into the rubble. It made no sense to him why there'd be two different types of explosions. And the pattern of the first explosion had the signature of the Fire Skulls, but they would never attack innocent people out of the blue like this. And then there was the toxins... Roland knew the Toxic skulls have been known to unleash toxic warfare in populated areas in the New district but never so close to their own territory. Not to mention that this type of toxin was to fast acting and died nearly without a trace it seemed. Roland knew it was a far to advanced of a toxin to be that of the Toxic skulls and not to mention why two gangs would seem to coordinate such an act of malice. No... Something did not sit well with this whole thing. |
"Mmmm....that's true. We don't want memebers being caught up in this right now. They shouldn't be allowed out till things calm down a bit." Jubeii followed Vincent and watched as the Vamp Skull underling scrambled to pass the message around the people in their stronghold. "I only hope none of our members were caught up in that explosion". She stood there contemplating what it could have been; the wind ruffling her hair and bringing the light scent of lingering toxins. She reflexively fixed her face mask and got ready to head to ground zero.
|
Makoto arrived at ground zero. The former residential area was cluttered with rubble and fallen civilians. The police, biohazard squads, and emergency teams were scattered throughout the area.
Makoto walked towards a biohazard supply truck, and took a gas mask from the back. The mask seemed to only cover the face, and several straps looped around the back to secure it onto a person's face. She put the mask on, and walked towards one of the buildings. Makoto spotted the bandanna-wearing officer she encountered earlier. "Hello officer. What exactly happened here?" |
Roland turned and saw a girl standing behind him with a gas mask on. "You know you don't need that on." He sighed as he knelt down and started shifting through some of the rubble. "I'm not sure what happened but if I did I doubt I'd discuss it with you."He stood up with a broken picture frame in hand and placed on what looked like the remains of a table.
|
Makoto took off the gas mask and hung it on her belt. Might be useful later.
"I know that the police and the hunters don't exactly like each other, but whatever happened here concerns me." Makoto stood in the ruined room, and watched the officer place the picture frame on the table. "People are going to panic. Especially the gangs." Makoto pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. "If you don't want to talk to me because I'm a Hunter, then that's fine. I'll leave you be." |
Roland wiped his hands on his pant legs and then placed them into his pockets. "The gangs wont panic. The way things look right now it seems two gangs are responsible. Then again I wonder if you knew that already. Or perhaps you just don't care."
|
Lillian sauntered the streets of Old Tokyo, heading towards the site of the explosion from earlier. It didn't have anything to do with her, but it wouldn't hurt to check the place out. It didn't take her long to find the place. She stayed back a couple blocks and observed from the roof of a building that looked over the scene in order to avoid a confrontation with the nearby authorities. She could see small crews combing through the wreckage, looking for clues as to what had started the incident. She knew they wouldn't find anything, though; they rarely ever did.
|
Makoto cleared her throat. "If you're thinking that the Flame Skulls and the Toxic Skulls are responsible, then we're thinking the same thing. But why would they blow up an entire residential area?"
|
Roland was getting annoyed by this hunter. He didn't like them in general but this one seemed to oblivious or maybe she knew what the hunters were like and was only pretending. Either way it wasn't like him to get so annoyed so easily.
What little flames that still clung to life in the area around Roland suddenly started to grow slowly and dance with furry. He was frustrated yet his face still showed no emotion but his muscles tensed and his stance rigid. "I'm not going to jump to conclusions on who is responsible." |
Makoto sighed. She looked at the officer's emotionless expression, and then scanned his person. This guy's getting tense. What's his-- She cut off her thoughts, and slowly examined the room the two of them were in. The dying flames were suddenly a little bigger.
"Hmph. That's fine. You don't have to tell me your thoughts, officer." While she spoke to the officer, she slowly moved her left hand towards her holster, and let her hand hang above her handgun. |
Esmun had quietly walked into the room behind Roland and the huntress Del. Though he was told he didn't need to wear a gas mask, he still donned a medical mask, not wishing to have the dangerous toxins and debris poisoning his lungs. He found it odd that the skull was trying to help with the investigation, assuming that skulls were only hunters. At lasthe cleared his throat as a way of getting their attention. “Hello Ms. Del its nice to see you again, but this place is under police investigation. I do not think it is wise for civilians to be here.” Esmun then turned his attention towards Roland. “Sir I think I found something that might have been the cause of some of the damages, I had the fire team check it out, and they said it looks like there were many others placed on the key structural areas of the building.” He gestured for Roland to follow him. Not sure if the huntress listened to him he walked off , traveling deep with in the bowls of the unsafe building, down into a pit where the fire fighters had focused their water first. Sloshing through the rubble, they came to one of the surviving beams still clouded in a toxic fiery aura. He pointed to a ball of twisted melted wires and plastic, one where the timer was blinking incoherently.

KYD
Fabulous. Just fucking fabulous, Kyd though as he watched chunksof the old plaster ceiling rain down. Looks like I've another reason to haul ass out of here. Wincing, he held on to the backs of the seats as he half-crawled, half-limped through the aisles, gathering what little he had and heading towards the back entrace. Nice choices I have, huh, death by Hunter anddeath by falling ceiling. |
"Sir you are need back at the precinct." A uniformed police officer yelled out from behind the hunter.
Roland sighed and the flames died down. "Very well... I suppose its better to leave because the company here leaves much to be desired." Roland started to walk pass the hunter with his hands in his pockets. "If I find out that the hunters are some how involved in this. I'll be sure to pay you a visit." He said softly so that she would be the only one to here it. And with his parting words he left for the precinct. (( OOC~ Ah sorry about the lame reply. Not feeling well and I hate to have you stuck with me. )) |
As the officer walked past Makoto, she closed her eyes and replied.
"I'll have a bullet ready for your head when you visit, boy." Makoto opened her eyes, and stood in the middle of the remains of the apartment room. She looked at the dying flames, the flames that suddenly danced furiously during her confrontation with the officer. "Omoshiroi. Totemo omoshiroi desu ne. Anata wa dare desu ka?(Interesting. Very interesting. Who are you?) ((OOC~ It's alright, no worries. I hope you get better soon! :3 )) |
"Well better make use of this good time we have to move about freely while they are doing what they need to be doing." Vincent said as he made a run jump from the fire escape on to another one then run up the stairs to the roof top of the building as he started to do what he knew best roof top jumping. About getting four buildings out he looked back to wait for Jubeii to catch up with him, the closer they would get he could smell the air of burnt rubble and other things.
"This is a nice work. . . I wonder who is behind all this." was his though looking a head. It was already a little afternoon and so much as happened from the Hunter who was trying to kill Kyd down this explosion that had happened something was turning there playground upside down. |
