Jace looked at Jokull and towards the area of the beacon. "If i may master, maybe if i do a little searching i can find a crown or two before the maps are dispersed" The man walked a few steps away from the man as shadows engulfed his feet. "Besides, Im sure two shadow users aren't good for a battle"

Lance glared at the person infront of he knew very well what the beacon was for, Lucien took a fist and threw it into the man's gut. "Last chance, lie to me again and your dead.." Lances eyes were lust filled and serious. "There is no one here to stop me or hear you scream so please feel free to try. Next question, What is your name." Lance gritted his teeth, he had no time to be dealing with things like this he had to make sure Noelle was okay.

Lucien smiled, The voice that rang through his head was a familiar one, a voice that made his blood boil and his skin crawl. "So this was the Ele you were talking about? This so happens to be the women i wanted to kill." Lucien glanced over at Noelle and smiled. "Ellie its been too long, I missed the gorgeous face of yours, how long has it been 4 months? As for your friend here will more like accomplice am i right?" Lucien gesture towards lei with his hands and looked from her back to Noelle. "she has joined my side. its too late for petty phrases like 'get away from him'"

Lips twitching slightly into a smile, Jokull nodded and took off towards the light and hurrying through the trees. Gliding between the trunks easily with a flowing step. Sliding to a stop he raised the staff as he caught sight of the scene before him. "Makani! You leave one mark on him and I'll make sure you feel every bit of pain as I freeze your heart in your chest." He growled lowly and let the glinting ice cold eyes as he stepped forward from his spot.

He gasped and gave a low groan as he attempted to keep his head up even while in pain. "Nnngh.... My name is..." But he was cut off by the voice of his leader. Eyes going wide, he swallowed slightly and flicked his eyes over to look at the elf.

Lance smirked hearing the voice of the other man and seeing makani freeze in front of him. "Tell him if he makes one move i'll kill you, Now so far I have no reason to kill a boy, but if he becomes Violent ill have no choice now tell him." Lance focused his eyes upon the man who had just shown up, Glyphs began running from Lance's feet to the mans feet and wrapped around his legs.

Lucien drew from his waist the sword from its scabbard along the blade a blood red bolt of lightning coiled around it as he turned toward noelle. "Don't you ignore my questions woman, i won't let you get away this time. You will pay for doing what you did Ellie.."

Makani turned his golden eyes upon Jokull and chewed his lip slightly. "I'm sorry... Doesn't look like I could get you a map first." He said with a weak smile and squirmed in the grasp.

Jokull laughed as he glanced down at the glyphs running along the ground. "Heh... A simple entrapment spell is nothing... Try freezing in ice." Smiling as he closed his eyes and raised his staff slightly. Quickly the trees around him started to coat in ice and sag towards the ground. This was part of the reason that he hated being in large groups after his anger had gotten the best of him. Magic of any kind, especially his ice, would get out of control unless he was on constant watch. "I can't speak for the ice, but I won't do anything violent. Not for that foolish fox anyways."

Lance smirks as he sees the man use the ice like powers. "You ever heard of a silence curse? It rends magic users the ability to use magic, quite useful" As the words fall out of the mans mouth the glyphs drop off the mans leg and the circle fades, Lance speeds his way to the chest and cuts it open revealing several maps in the box. "So much for wits eh?" Lance throws a rolled up map at makani and laughs. "Looks like you got the first map good luck." Lance quickly grabs one from himself and speeds of back toward the area where he left Noelle.

Lucien grits his teeth his words starting from Soft and fading into a louder tone. "how maNY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU!!...." the man went into silence for a moment. "he was no good for you ellie he would have hurt you only i was good enough for you, its to late now, you can't fall for me although i know its hard, but i cannot forgive you after you left this scar upon my face..." lucien began walking slowly towards the women with a grin on his face. "What are you going to do now? You have no one you are alone, I have taken the only thing that you considered a Friend. and yet.. "Lucien looks from lei to Noelle once more "its obvious you were just a nuisance to her, Who will save you talk to you be near you now? NO ONE you are nothing just fall to your death save your self the pain.."

"getting on your hands and knees to beg won't help love."Lucien laughed menacingly as he swept the sword in circles walking at a slow pace toward the women, once he got close enough Lucien kicked the scythe further away. "Now, You shall die at my hand and i shall rule this world with an iron fist.." Lucien Lifted his blade pointing it down at the woman's chest he began to plunge it downward but Froze in mid swing as golden glyphs ran up his body.

"Its been awhile Second in command Lucien..." In a flash Lance appeared grabbing Noelle and quickly picking her up and Knocking Lucien to his back and running towards the covered forest. Lance looked down at Noelle and smiled. "Now i thought i was the only one allowed to attack you huh? When did you go changing the rules." Lance wanted badly to turn around and confront the man but he was more worried about the woman.

Lance smiled and shook his head then nodded. "To be honest i figured it was him" Lance sat noelle down against a tree plopping down next to her and looking her over for any wounds "That isn't the first time ive seen his face either, Are you okay?"

Lucien smirked as he saw the two run off. "No need in persuing them we will run into the sooner or later.. Shall we start the challenge Lei?" Lucien smiled and held his hand out towards her trying to seem friendly. though

Lance smiled and ran his hand through Noelle's hair gently. "Sadly me and him where in the same guild and ran it together after our master died, he always hated me because I was named leader, That and i associated with an elementalist who are our rivals." Lance looked up at the sky. "A women that i consider my sister, one day he tried to kill her and i gave my spot as leader up to save her life but, He quickly turned on me and i woke up not knowing where i was just what had happened." Lance went quiet for a moment a small tear falling from his face as he laid his head on Noelle's. "Im just glad your safe.."

Lucien smiled and began to walk toward the beacon that lit the sky with Lei behind him. "So, with all the things in the world there is no possession or thing you want other than isolation, Seems like an unusual dream to me" Lucien quickly went silent feeling he had step over the line he wanted to earn the woman's trust not lose it.

Noelle shudders, "That is awful." she wraps her hand around Lance's arm, "I hope your sister is okay.." Noelle notices the tears as Lance laid his head on hers. Moving so she was face to face with him, "I owe you for saving me back there." she leans in and kisses him, placing her free hand around the back of his head.

Lei smirks, "It's not an unusual dream, some of us rather not deal with society while others do. So what's the story between you and Ele anyway. If we're going to be working as an unit, I might as well know."

Lance's eyes widen being caught off guard by the kiss noelle had given him, After returning the kiss, Lances face went red he smiled and mumbles something under his breathe then pulled from his pocket the map he had gotten from the chest by the beacon. "Here, i almost got killed getting this for you." Lance laughed as he handed it to her.

Lucien smiled and shook his head, "Im surprised Noelle didn't tell you, we grew up together in an orphanage one day i was outside when i overheard her boyfriend at the time talking to some other person about how he was going to rape her i got so mad that i blacked out and woke up with his blood on my hands, Little did i know Noelle had saw the whole thing we got into a fight and she left the scar upon my face i believe that was the day i snapped and started on the hunt for her." Lucien grinned licking his lips. "One day I shall drink her blood from a chalice made from her bones.."

Lance laughed at the thought of his life actually meaning something. "If I died doing something good then i wouldn't care at all, Infact I rather die in battle then by old age." Lance smiled looking at Noelle then lowering his head, it had hit him that Noelle was saying that because she did not want to lose him."..B-BUT!!! Of Course im tough ill never lose in battle right?"

Lucien smiled and shook his head. "It matters not who sits on the throne i will kill her one way or another even if it means my imprisonment i have sworn my life to this, ITs not like i have any other reason to grasp on the strings of life..."

Lance frowned hearing Noelle talk about the contest he smiled and said with a sarcastic lazy tone "Aww we can't wait here and just ignore the contest" Lance laughed a bit then stood up offering his hand to her. "need some help?"

Lucien looked over at the women almost gritting his teeth. "Oh, Dear if only it were that simple, But you know selling your soul does come with a cost..." Lucien lifted his cloak to show the area where his heart should have been in its place was a whole which inside of it was a Spacial Black hole looking material. "But that is a story for another day! Shall we go collect bones now? OH! i mean a map.."

Jokull just stared after the man and raised a brow before he walked over towards the little fox boy. "Hnn.... He sure is a strange one. I would like it if we didn't have to run into him again, but I guess if he's in this quest then I guess we will at some point." Mumbling as he glanced over Makani and determining that he was fine turned to head off with the map in hand.

"Sorry Jokull.... I didn't think someone like that would be here so soon." Sighing as he hung his head, ears drooping as he thought he was in trouble. "Well this definitely won't look good in front of that new guy."

After a while of searching Jace made his way back to the beacon of light that had been advertised previously where his team had said they were going. On arrival he notices them both standing by a cut open chest. "So how did it go no problems then?" Jace looked up into the sky the Sun was setting it was getting dark they needed to find somewhere to camp out.

Lance smiled helping the girl up. "Now now don't take my joke so seriously, Of course i want to be king." Lance looked up and yawn, his eyes drooped a bit, Fatigue was getting to him but they had no time in his eyes they had to get the crown parts. "why is it so late already..." Lance said as the sunset.

Lucien nodded his head as they made it into the forest lit by the beacon. "I guess the first thing we should do i make it to the map, So we know what we are doing."

Kate stayed quiet for a moment listening in on the announcement, she sheathed her sword and patted Kanon's head. "I think we should go get a map before they run out, Don't wanna lose before we even start right?" Kate giggled and started to head down the drawbridge that they used to get to the castle

Lucien laughed and shook his head in disagreement. "If I stole the maps from the other competitors it wouldn't be as fun to run into them and kill them stringing there blood and intestines everywhere now would it?" a manic grin appear across the mans face. As they make it up to the beacon Lucien notices a group of people an elf and a foxkin, with a strange man in armor.. "sh.." Lucien points at the chest that they are currently standing in front of.

Lance smirked as Noelle spoke of the Sleeping bag. "Im sure that Lucien isn't your only incentive for wanting to sleep in the same bag as me?" Lucien snickered a bit then walked into an open spot in the forest. "Well first of all we need a fire, Maybe I should go off and look for some fire would and flint.."

Jokull glanced up when Jace appeared and raised a brow. "Yes we got a map, but there's one problem, we've found a formidable opponent for you." Sighing as he took the map from the ground in front of Makani's feet and glanced it over a little. "Interesting... Yes the pieces are clearly marked and everything." He turned to look over his fox kin friend and tilted his head. "Are you okay?"

Makani nodded with his eyes on the ground. "Yeah I'm fine... Don't worry about me." He said easily and avoided looking over at Jace. Fidgeting slightly with his bag as he turned to head down the path. "The first piece is a day's walk from here going north....."

Jace laughs at the thought of the idea of someone who could match his blade. "We will see about that though i doubt that anyone will make me fall pray to there prowess." Jace looked over at Makani and shook his head "Becoming pray to an attack and not being rash is and was the most smart and skilled way to take things you should be proud of yourself not sulking."


Lucien smiled at the man in armors arrogance, how dare he think that no one could beat him.. Doesn't he know that I am the strongest man alive... Hehe maybe ill make a bone chalice with his bones.. Lucien's grin widened for a second before he looked back over at lei and spoke in hushed tone. "Do you know any of them?"

Lance looked back to see Noelle run off he let out a small sigh and shook his head, It looked as if he might have offended her. "Well that's just great..." Lance shrugged his shoulder and wondered about paying attention to as of where he was going picking up sticks and firewood along the way.

"Yes, I do." Lei says in a bored tone, her gaze sweeping over Jace coldly, "Let's say, me and that idiot had a little run with each other earlier. The others, I don't know." she pulls her knife out of the bag and keeps it ready incase she needed to draw blood to perform some more of her darker magic..

Plucking up quite a bit of firewood, Noelle returns back to the site to find Lance gone, "Hmph." she sits the wood down in a neat pile before deciding to go and get cleaned up. Heading down to the nearest stream, Noelle places the clean clothes on the nearest stump before checking to make sure no one else was around before taking off her dirty clothes and sitting them on the ground before taking small steps into the cold water of the stream.
Allowing the cool water to wash away what had happened in the last few hours, and cause the stream was not deep, Noelle folded her knees under her and allowed most of her body to sink under the water as she shook her hair free from the two ponytails, allowing the ends of the hair to float in the water around her. With a small laugh, as she gazed up at the setting sun that was heating the water around her up slowly, she closes her eyes and allows herself the chance to enjoy her bath, This is paradise.

Noticing how late it was getting, Noelle quietly slips out of the stream, wringing her hair out and not caring if anyone was in the bushes, it wasn't like she was not use to being nude in front of others before, she had stripped in front of Lei many of times and.. back in the day when Lucien had been her friend cause at the orphanage, you learned as an early age not to be embarrassed or modest of others seeing you nude, they had plenty of times shared the same shower..

Pulling on the clean clothes, she heads back to find Lance had been busy and chuckles seeing he was asleep. She was also curious why a guy like him was so worried about her? If he came king, he could have any beautiful girl by his side, not some little orphan no one had wanted like her, hell, even Lei with her beautiful locks of auburn hair and ice cold eyes was a far better catch than her and Lucien would never leave her alone, would it be fair to drag Lance into her hell?

Sitting down near Lance by the fire, she watches him sleep for a few moments, the light of the flames dancing off her still damp hair. She was glad he was asleep cause she knew her face showed her worry, there was no way she would allow Lucien to hurt Lance.. if it meant she had to give up her life to keep both Lei and Lance safe from him, than she would walk right up to Lucien and allow him to take her life with no fight.

Sighing, Noelle heads into the tepee and makes herself comfortable, falling into a dark and disturbing sleep.

Makani started off down the pathway at a quiet little jaunt. Without a word he was just moving along and not giving anything to the conversation. Ears pinned back, he had made it obvious that this was a sore subject for him and he was deep in thought.

Jokull tapped the armored shoulder of Jace and shook his head slowly. "No matter what you do, there's nothing that will convince him that he needs to be proud of himself so don't try." Murmuring as he started down the path. "This is just the way he is, but he'll be better later once we get to camp, trust me." Sighing now, his fingers played over the gemstones that made up the buttons on his coat. "So Jace... What would you like once the throne has been claimed?"

Kate looked down at kanon and smiled kneeling down to her she whispered into her ear "It's fine i'm here you won't get hurt i promise." Kate patted her on the head and let her hold onto the edge of her shirt as they made there way through the crowded and dangerous city to the forest upon which the beacon was shining. "We are almost there i can just see the map already.."

Jace ignored Jokull and quickly hushed the man as he looked towards the bushes, The man had heard a familiar voice a evilly devilish like smiled appeared amongst the shadowed mouth o jace's face, He looked toward a small set of Bushes and yelled loud enough that the surrounding area could clearly hear him. "Well well, I recognize that voice anywhere it seems that we are being followed by that heathenous Witch from the city who said she had no interest in this contest."

Lucien's eyes widened as heard the man talk to Lei, he did not make a sound the thoughts of him sneaking up behind them as the man yelled at lei was on his man. He made his way slowly but quietly around the surrounding area trying he best to not make a sound, It was then his foot collided with a small amount of snow like substance on the ground and he slipped hitting the ground with a large thump. "Ow.. why is there snow here.. incollent fools.."
