Not many places I can be witchy around here, as I am SURROUNDED by christian churches, which I do enjoy going to(for those who don't know, I'm a weird mix of all religions. Like america, for religions. I AM AMERICA AND SO CAN YOU!) Also, I just like chatting with you people. I would hope you think the same of me XD I got to hold a mini-festival, which was fun. Held a Belegarth tournament, just for the Units here. Mine lost, as we're the smallest, and most-under trained...I'm the only person left of the original group. The rest sold-out, big time, to a different group. Just sayin man. I hate it, so much. and then I quit Belegarth, because someone who I no longer get along with, at all, has been given charge, and nobody is saying anything about it besides me, and I refuse to do all the work for these people. I decided there was no reason for me to be doing something I don't enjoy AND that costs me money. That's ridiculous. I picked back up on playing MTG, and have had rather good luck with it, thankfully. I'm really enjoying it again, and have made a lot of friends at the shop I go to, Crazy Squirrel Games, and am just REALLY glad I found that place. It even connected me with an old friend. =) also, I forgot that I had put myself in the tags here, so when I saw it, I was like "Who put me in the tags? =O" lol But yeah, uhm...sorry for epic-long-post, I just want to give a quick re-cap of my life recently XD Oh yeah, school is over, took my last real class on Wednesday, and just took my last "class" today. Now I'm free to....look for work more often XD Still need a job, and I need one badly. Non-realistic in every way, but still a fun read. Also, I'm enjoying these Lemonheads Sage sent me. Makin these babies last =) They appear to fuel my creativity. I like the belt, and the shirt, but that's because they go with some avatar ideas of mine pretty well. Not a big fan of the big one-piece items, and especially not a big fan of big head items ^^;

Right then, the colour correspondences i've given out already are the general ones that most people will know. Not many go into much more detail than that, what's the point? I say it helps to flesh things out sometimes, so here's a little more detail, starting with my favourite one:__________________________________________________ ________________________ RED: Astrological Correspondence: Aries, Scorpio and Mars. Date & Sabbat Correspondence: Tuesday. I don't like the magic because I'm not a fan of "aura" items, but all the peacock items are very well made. It's always good to be able to seperate "I personally would never use it." from "THAT NO GOOD BAD D8"

weather or not i like an aura item depends on the item, so I like, others not so much. I just happen to really like the ghostly white option of the peacock magic.

It's simple once you you realise/think about it. In terms of light, white reflects, black absorbs as it is the absence of colour. same with the two colours and heat. In terms of magick the principle remains the same.

Pagan/Witchy Woo/ Jewelery is pretty expensive, I have to say.
My triple moon goddess necklace is this tiny little pendant, GORGEOUS, but tiny, and it cost 25 bucks. Then again, it was by Peter Stone.. and Peter Stone is the best of the best. xD; I also have earrings from him, too. Cute little dangle earrings with a Triskle, and a recent moon wrapped in a circle at the bottom. I ACTUALLY retired my bat earrings for those, as of late. |

I always wear two pieces of jewellery; the first is a sterling silver Egyptian Ankh, the second a sterling silver band engraved with a norse/celtic knot-work pattern that my boyfriend bought for me when we went to Iceland. They're my charms, i lose either and i feel so vulnerable!

I don't really understand a whole lot about what you've been saying about the colors, but I'm trapped in the middle of the bible belt, and have been unable to find anything about Paganism. I've read some of what is avalible on the first page... I'm just still very new to this, and feel out of my depth.

colour magick is one of the simplest forms of magick you can use. In fact you use it every day without knowing!
You ever look at a bright yellow daffodil and think "i feel so cheerful now i've seen that" or at a nice blue sea and thought "I feel so calm." That's colour magick at work. It uses colours to influence something. Usually, we use it to influence emotions, for example; wearing something red on a first date. In witchcraft it goes one step further, in a small way. Colour in the Craft represents particular things. For example if i say white, you would say something like purity or innocence. We use it to symbolise and establish the goal we desire in a spell. For example the money spell i've posted previously (check Raven's Corner) uses a green candle, because green can represent financial luck. A lot of these correspondences are common sense. Like red, orange and yellow representing fire, blues and greens show water, greens and browns are earth, yellows, pale blues and whites/silvers are air and so on. It's best to start off with what each colour means to you and build from there. The detailed versions i'm posting go a little further and address the aura, chakras (in detail), astrology and so on. Really, feel free to ask questions. we're all about helping out in here :D And yes Batz, you do need to come here more often even if you are just stalking me :D |

Yep. And some to planets, which takes into account the property of both colour and celestial body. For example: Saturn is principally known as a champion of binding and protection, so purple and black are both representative of Saturn.
Some, like the Sun and Moon (i know, they're not planets, i thought that too, but remember that years ago humans didn't know that. and maybe we're wrong nowadays anyway :D ) are common-sense again. The Sun is made of fire, so gold, red, yellow and orange, sometimes also pinks, are representative of the sun. For the Moon think white, grey and silver, like its light and the moon itself. (I'll go more into planets later on for everyone; i need to get it sorted for myself before i post much more :D ) See what i mean. It's simple once you figure it out. So, if i say healing, what colour do you think of? Red in a bedroom huh, that would be passion and warmth, or anything else you might think of ;) (maybe i should write a book about all this stuff :D i don't seem to be doing a bad job of explaining lol) |
