O... kay, Funk, help me here. What is with Micahel's family, that they could easily take down an Emim? Bearing in mind, of course, that Emim are the revenant spirits of the most powerful psychics to ever live, having had millennia to hone their powers.
I'm not saying his family, working together, couldn't kill one, but to do so easily seems... bizarre to me. I doubt Jez'ebel herself would write off an Emim as an easy encounter. It's not that they're the upper echelon of psychics (at least, alone), but they're certainly no pushovers, and anyone who's just adapted their psychic abilities since the Eschaton really shouldn't be able to match one. Also, remember, there were a dozen Emim attacking, not just one. Also bear in mind that overcoming an Emim psychically would be a lot harder than obliterating it with theurgy or banishing it Sheol's power. And... that was a lot to say on something that wasn't really a big deal. Sorry. I just don't want to set the wrong precedent with this sort of thing. |
Right, then I should be apologizing for that. I'm not considering Michael's "family" to be small by any means. I think it would be gather of highly advanced psychic warriors (who evidently follow jez'ebel like she's the true goddess) Maybe going for Emim easily was too far so I'll edit that part out, but the point is that each one can be a future opponent for the 'party' from time to time.

Anyone ever see the movie Legion? Came out last year. Just watched it today, kind of reminded me of this setting... except it was way less cool and the plot was idiotic. It did inspire an idea for a possible encounter though (roundaboutly, that is. I was watching a stupid action sequence and thinking of how I would have done it. >_>)

Basically a Z-day film with vague biblical references. I just watched Red Riding Hood. I love all witch hunting stuff, but I was hoping for less teen drama and more werewolf killings... I think I need to go re-read Salone's posts just to get out of the weird funk I'm in from watching it. >_< |

For that movie, anyway. I was expecting a lot more dark and twisted stuff and instead I got more of what you usually see on ABC Family.

Just pointing out Shealtiel's joke in case I have no fellow Arthurian nerds here. The Grail question is a reference to Percival and the Fisher King and the healing of Camelot, all very messianic. I have no plans for including the Holy Grail in this, though... maybe, who knows.
