;w;

JUST TELL ME WHAT IT IS ALREADY, DK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;w; D:<

Demonskid 03-15-2012 10:36 PM

Ohayou gozaimasu!!!!! ... wait i'm going to bed so it'd be Oyasumi nasai!! *waves and wonders off*

Ohayou gozaimasu - good morning.
Oyasumi nasai - good night/going to sleep now

Note: even if you know what these words mean.. the translation still has to be attached according to site rules ;p

Lucid: 03-15-2012 10:38 PM

I know what state Inari lives in! :3
Lucid lives in Utah. :< Lucid wants to live somewhere else but Lucid has to finish school here first. It's an excellent school so I willingly suffer through living here.

Arikana 03-15-2012 10:39 PM

Mmm. Bonne nuit (good night), DK! :]
You use Japanese, I'll use French...or whatever else I feel like saying/posting. >w>

Hmm...I should totally video/record myself using ASL to say good night and then playing it instead... *likes this idea* >w<

Arikana 03-15-2012 10:40 PM

LUCID, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT STATE DK LIVES IN?! ;w; <3

Lucid: 03-15-2012 10:48 PM

"Ohayou gozaimasu" - Sound this out. Very, very slowly. Syllable by syllable. I promise you'll get it eventually. It's like that one game.

Arikana 03-15-2012 11:07 PM

OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Ohio? owo
If that's it, I'm gonna be so pissed it took me this long to figure it out. ;w; #soslow ;w;

It's like what one game? owo

Fauxreal 03-16-2012 12:34 AM

I got it a long time ago - but I'm also studying Japanese.

Arikana 03-16-2012 12:41 AM

I studied Japanese six, almost seven, years ago...but still, I didn't expect that. >.>

Serena Yuy 03-16-2012 01:19 AM

I only knew a few words in Japanese when I was younger. Now I know very little Spanish (and I took it in school) and very little Finnish (and I'm attempting to teach myself that now ^^").

Fauxreal 03-16-2012 02:24 AM

I know Spanish - and I learn a little Japanese every day!

Quiet Man Cometh 03-16-2012 04:11 AM

Appaling levels of French for a Canadian (dropped it in school to lesson my course load when I was sick. I know stuff off of French lables mostly ;)). Studied two years of Swedish but my vocab still sucks, and attempted Spanish before dropping languages entirely so I can read it as in pronounce a Spanish word but don't have much of an idea of what I'm saying. Picked up scattered words in German and Italian from travelling. More garnishes really. ;)

Interestingly, learning to read outdated forms of English helps out when learning European languages.

Kiddiss 03-16-2012 04:55 AM

Mornin' y'all :3
Roll call: who all is up and actually online at this time of night (or day on the other side of the world from Kat)?

I figured I'd post first then backlog the last few pages to catch up. That way I'm at least finding out who is here now ^_^
~Kat is a very experienced lurker, but this posting spree she has been on for ONE MONTH AS OF TODAY *w00t!* is very new to her, so she is really like a shy and ignorant newbie~

Here's some stuff I got from the last page on which I posted:

It takes a while to get used to using a phone instead of a computer, especially after two+ decades of using a computer (yes, I'm old, har har...moving on...), and my phone is ALL touch screen, but I've gotten used to it. After a year and a half, I can even type when my keypad blanks out (I don't think Droids are meant to last for more than 2 years- damned Motorola!).
I do it because it beats the hell out of dial-up, which is all my little village will ever have via wires. We have satellite, but it's slower than my phone and has a bandwidth limit (my phone doesn't, and except when I'm really sick, I use almost 10gig per month on my phone >.<)

Aside from the slowness and bandwidth limit, this is the other reason I use my phone rather than my laptop (notebook, to be more accurate). It only has a 6 hour battery, and setting up the charger is a pain in the ass. I'm going to have to download GIMP to my computer because it doesn't have a disk drive to load Photo Shop - and I'm dreading it because 1. It's going to eat a lot of bandwidth; and B. It's going to be slooooow. I had DSL when I lived in Phoenix, so I guess I'm quite spoiled when it comes to internet stoofs *gerk*

Okeydokey, time for me to backlog and see what I missed out on ^_^

Lucid: 03-16-2012 10:29 AM

Yes Ari, it's Ohio. XD

Lol, my Canadian French is just as bad as the lowest level that I've actually spent learning it would be grade seven. D:

Ooooh, teach me some Swedish please? <3

You've travelled to Germany and Italy? owo
What were they like? Why did you go there? Are they as beautiful as I read/heard from the internet/people? owo

Anyways, on a new topic to move away from my slowness at being able to guess DK's current state of residency... I can't think of any ideas for a new avatar again. D:
Looks like my avatar block isn't fully gone yet. ;w;

Quiet Man Cometh 03-16-2012 10:49 PM

You will use blue! And it shall be dark blue, and you shall use a skin from a donation item in your inventory and a weapon an shoes from your event collection. You must accent your blue with orange!

Hiya! Landlord is here, so no sleepy for this kitty right now. ∅_∅

Today is my 1 month anniversary! w00t!
And, against all odds, I have over 200 posts!!

This may not sound very exciting to anyone else, but (as my friends for the Old Realm know), I've never been very good at accruing a large number of posts. I lurk >_> and make Walls 'o Text, both of which go against the law of large numbers of posts. Ha! You thought for half a sec I was going to get all science-y on you, huh? XD

I'm not so much a "hard sciences" kind of person (my degree is in Political Science, for Pete's sake LOL).... I've always been a language person. I find the convo of languages over the last few pages to be quite intriguing. So many different languages being learned by the different peeps here- coolness!
I studied French for 6.5 years (I minored in it >.<), and I've picked up quite a bit of conversational Spanish from living in the South West for so long (since I was a teenager, I have spent 2 years in South East Texas, 11 years in Southern California, and almost 15 years in Arizona).
Sadly, since I've been "out of circulation" for the last 10 years, I've lost much of what I had picked up and/or learned *gerk*

So, Swedish? Finnish? Japanese? (Okay, that last one- not really a surprise LOL). I'm totally jelly!
I think I have a computer program or series of DVDs somewhere that "promises" to teach conversational Japanese in just a few weeks... but I'm skeptical, so I haven't tried it yet >.<

To those of you who are self-teaching: good on you!! I think that more people need to control their education rather than letting the education system control them *nod*

So, I'm sure my post is waaaay off topic by now, but I already typed it all out, so y'all get it :p

Reyoki 03-16-2012 11:47 PM

Yes ma'am! *poofs into chibi neko ninja form and kneads nee-chan's back, purring*

Asami 03-16-2012 11:54 PM

Feels so good Bl

Reyoki 03-17-2012 12:09 AM

Asami 03-17-2012 12:13 AM

Reyoki 03-17-2012 12:18 AM
