Watching the Hunger Games. This movie is depressing.

I watched it a few times
it was good but the book is better

Its sad, depressing, and a bit racist. Didn't like it.

Well I guess you don't really get the underlying message the book/movie gives

It isn't at all.
The author wrote it to show what's going to happen to America. We are going down a dark path and lets just say it wont be good for anyone except the elitests.
I get how you /think/ its racist. But its not. People these days see something like that and scream RACISIM when it isn't at all.
Yes they depicted the black people to be the in the farming district but that isn't racist. Yes thrash is illiterate but its for a reason!
Shes showing how horrible things will be and not only are the blacks treated badly but everyone who isn't rich ect.

I fail to see any racism in that movie. And if you do you aren't looking at the whole picture. You're focusing on one part. One detail, when that detail is just there to show how bad things are. u.u

First off. In the books they never really gave anyone skin color yes sometimes she'd say tanned skin ect. But to give her message more meaning they decided that was best. Second. District 11 was the first to rebel!!! Didn't you see that? They were the strongest!!!!

Okay again. You need to read the book. They aren't hounds they are mutts. Mutations. In the books they say the mutts had the dead competitors eyes. Katnisswas frightened by that. Thresh was killed a different way and I guess they decided that would be quicker. No the mutts weren't for him alone! It was a way for them to end the games quickly because of all the trouble katniss started with the rue thing. U.U

Look thresh was considered the strongest. Oh God the way he killed that girl in the book. Crazy. Thresh was one of the best characters.

I suppose so. The romance in it just felt far too overbearing to me. The first thing I compared it to was Twilight. There was only about half an hour of actually action, and the action was depressing. Its odd for me to dislike a movie, but I just really didn't like it.

No, I didn't. XD I only drank like half of it..

I don't like Twilight.. -nods- We all have our opinions. :3 Till I see the movie, I am unable to form one myself but seems kind of silly arguing over a movie and it's values.. or to me it is.. and I got into a few fights over people about Twilight.. my co-worker never shut up about it and I was like.. don't make me strangle you.. say that freaking movie name again and I will.

Not I don't think someone put it there. I think its the animal thats been knocking our trash cans down whenever I put out the trash.
