Look on the bright side, think of all the adventures we can have along the way!
Yes, exactly! But...will I have enough grenades? :p
Well, there you go. I'll let you guys decide if we should go forward or not.
The APC could be amphibious. A lot are these days. Granted, they only do about 35mph in the water, but still.
I wasn't imagining we'd be going much faster on land myself... Anyways I don't have a big stake in our destination since I don't know how much it will help everyone, so I'm not going to make a decision on how quickly we get there :p
I... did not now that, Salone. Feel free to have Na'lsa mention it.
Sure thing. Will be odd coming from him though. Guess he can rip it out of Lev's memory. Wonder how much of Lev is really left after all that anyway.
What, he's not a practical messiah? :p
Oh, he can be I guess. He's kind of new to the position, see. And yeah, he'll just rip the information from Lev's mind. Each time he messes with a memory, he causes a small stroke I've decided. That's how he destroys his memories and causes him to be the way he is. Bleeds the brain, if you will.
I meant practical as in pragmatic, not as in veritable.
But, that's a cool idea, regardless. |
Grabbed the first Amphib APC name I could find, because I'm lazy and I'm sure it doesn't really matter anyway. I'm more up on tanks. Although, Skoda (Japanese) did make amphibious tanks during WW2. Poor construction though, regular rifle rounds could tear right through it. But hey, that's the price you pay for making a tank float.
I'm in a small quandary. Since Feenai did Network research on the vehicle I'm not sure how she would not have known this. I'm not quite sure how to get around this little thing >.>;
Some things may have been forgotten since the world broke? Russian in manufacture so details might be scant? Or just might not know how to drive the thing in water? I can edit the post to where he's just throwing out the detail.
OH! Well, how about I have her say she wasn't sure how long the fuel would last so she was afraid to just go out on the water?
That would be a nice turn of events. Stranded on the open seas, tossed about in a roiling ocean while unknown horrors stir below us. Even a dead god can dream, right?
The downside of going over water is that there's not a whole lot that can happen in-between.
Starvation, desperation. Being forced to feed off of each other for sustenance. Not too bad. Just depends on how far the actual trip is. Doesn't seem to be too far...
Looks like about 250 miles. So, not long enough for starvation, but could run out of fuel.
Up to you guys, though. Shealtiel doesn't care which way they go. |
Na'lsa will want to check fuel. He is a bit scared of water.
Wait, hang on. Let's think meta here a bit.
Michael and Rue don't have the luxury of crossing over the water. >_> |
Hell, it's a Bugatti. Thing could probably pull a Jesus and drive over. Or we could possibly let them cross with us and make everything awkward and fun!
Alright guys, going to disappear for the night. There's a town calling my name and shenanigans are afoot. |
I CALL SHENANIGANS!
...Sorry. Had to be said. |
I'd rather not leave Rue and Michael behind. If you can all think of some way to get them onto the APC with the rest of us I'm all for the water path, otherwise...I'd just as soon prefer the land route so we can "stick together".
Well, Shealtiel just laid out the options. Up to you four to decide where we go. He couldn't care less. :p
But, I, too, would prefer to get the group together, if only so I don't have to GM a separate journey to the Seven Churches for Michael and Rue. |
Heh heh. You come to a sea. It appears to be 250 miles across. What would you like to do?
1) Attempt to ford the sea. 2) Caulk the APC and float across. 3) Bind an Emim and hire it as your guide. 4) Wait to see if conditions improve. We've spent weeks doing this, all leading up to this point so we could play the most badass version of Oregon Trail the world has ever seen. |
I'd like to hear other suggestions. I still don't know what to post - I don't want to steer the car along, since... Michael's sorta doing that. I could do more inner dialogue, but I don't see what purpose that would serve. And then there's the issue of whether we would run into the rest, or go on our own path.
And Suzerain, I'm not sure if I understand your posts - where exactly does the pass lead? |
It leads further north along the coast. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
I've decided that my "colleague" from a time and a half ago is going to be north of Thermopylae so I think we should pass that way. Which of the churches is the far south one, closest to the coast?
Oh, that's right, I'm sorry. I couldn't fit the names on my map.
Here. http://www.christianwalks.org/maps/revchurches.gif If you ever need the reference just type Seven Churches of Revelation into Google. I didn't make those up. :p |
So Ephesus it is then, and the fruit of life. Depending on cupcake, we can land either there or elsewhere and travel on foot, or car depending on the ferry.
Did we decide what we're doing yet? I kind of like Funk's suggestion. Maybe Michael could approach the APC and discuss it with the rest of the group?
I'm fine with the way that things are going now. Eventually I'd like some suggestions as to which church would have relevant information for Rue. Having it be the first one they visit might be a little too convenient...
-stomach growls irl-
Er...I hope we're not gonna run out of food in the RP. |
Dolly, I think Rue would have the best bet in Thyati'ra. Not only does the Prelate there have a lot of information on Hell thanks to the huge library he keeps and his experience battling demons, but he's by far the most earthly of the leaders of the Churches and the most likely to be willing to negotiate. Of course... he's also the most overtly dangerous. :p
Cool, sounds feasible to me. And I welcome danger!!
-brandishes gunblade- -accidentally fires it- o_o |
-ducks as bullet whizzes past head- Er....geez >.>
(Espy here, if you hadn't noticed.) |
1.) Dante IS from Babylon, Funk XD
2.) He will considered maiming him if he sees Michael gets any closer to Rue >.> No hard feelings, bro :) -griiiiiiiin- |
Consider maiming all you wish to. I'll lock you up in a psychic box before then and then let you run out of air. :D
@cupcake we can also have one of the churches be a false lead, as well, if the story permits it. |
xD Jeez, I wonder what poor Dante's gonna be like when the time comes for him to actually kill Rue...
And yeah, for the sake of the others (I forgot exactly WHY they need to go to the churches, but whatever) we can tag along with them while Rue's investigating, then she can conveniently find out where she's actually supposed to go. |
-he's not gonna make it if he actually has to kill Rue-
And I STILL need a side mission for him >.> |
