Um, well, the last book I picked up in hard cover was the last in the Kane series by Rick Riordan, that set me back about 30$. The paper back books usually set me back 13 - 17$.

Paper back for can is 10. 99 but is probably cheaper now or you'll find it on sale. The hardback for can is about 21. I got the newest one on sale for 18 though so you might be as lucky as me and get it on sale.
