Dawn 03-07-2013 08:18 PM

In a way.. reminds me of the old cartoon styles..

Natsunaine 03-07-2013 08:26 PM

It kinda does look like an old style cartoon. o-o

Maro 03-07-2013 08:27 PM

Thanks Rem bby. <3

And guys. Im losing my mind. Anybody in here know bout computers?

Dawn 03-07-2013 08:29 PM

Nothing wrong with the older toon styles, Natsu. XD I actually adore those more than modern styles..

Depends on the issue, Twigg.. I'm taking classes but not in systems.. more on the coding for games, etc.. but might be something I have ran into and know what to do.. I'm always trying to fix my mom's when it has a melt down..

Natsunaine 03-07-2013 08:30 PM

I do, Sorta, Whats going on with your computer?

I never said there was anything wrong with it dawn? o-o

Dawn 03-07-2013 08:33 PM

I know you didn't.

Just brings back memories.. now I want to go and watch the old Scooby Doo.. XD

Twigg 03-07-2013 08:33 PM

Well. I just left to do dishes and left my computer running because I knew it wouldn't be long. Well after 10 minutes my laptop goes into sleep mode. So when it does I can just tap the power button and it wakes up. Well this time it didn't wake up. So I tried shutting it down amend turning it back on. It kicks on and everything but my screen won't turn on. Its not doing anything. I'm. I can't even. I'm about to rage everywhere. Im hoping its just the monitor that went out that way all my stuff is still there but either way I can't afford to get it fixed or a new computer right now. At the moment I have taken the battery out, shut it down and am letting it sit for a bit..

Edit: dawn, Scooby doo is the shit.
I'm watching Atlantis right now on Netflix.

Another edit: typing on a tablet takes for freaking ever.

Natsunaine 03-07-2013 08:37 PM

How long did you have the laptop on?

Does it have a removable battery?

What did you do on the computer prior to the situation??

Dawn 03-07-2013 08:38 PM

.... well, Twigg...

I had a similar issue with my second to last labtop.. Dell, perfect working order.. turns on but the screen doesn't show up.. wait to see if it works after you put the battery back in cause if not.. than your looking at needing another labtop or... this what my friend told me about mine, I could plug it into my tv and use the tv as a screen..

Natsu, she listed how long and that she has removed the battery.. to me, it sounds like her screen has gone up.. but I wouldn't be positive till she put the battery back on and rebooted to see..

Twigg 03-07-2013 08:38 PM

Today its only been on a few hours. Yes. And I was on tris and Skype. And Facebook. That's all.

Natsunaine 03-07-2013 08:41 PM

How old is the laptop? If it is older the Screen could have gotten old and burned out.

Try to Remove the battery and give it 30mins, Then replace it and try to turn it on again.

If anything take it somewhere to get examined some Laptops can get replacement Screens.

Dawn 03-07-2013 08:41 PM

Twigg.. how old is the labtop and what make? Could be a default..

and I just mentioned it would be a burned out screen.. - -;

Natsunaine 03-07-2013 08:42 PM

@Dawn, I was typing that before I even saw your post /:

I could say, that I just said "How old is it?"

Twigg 03-07-2013 08:43 PM

Its only 3 years old.
I'll let you know what happens when I replace the battery in a while.

Natsunaine 03-07-2013 08:44 PM

Alright, Hope everything goes okay!:)

Twigg 03-07-2013 08:46 PM

And its a Toshiba. Forgot that part.

Natsunaine 03-07-2013 08:47 PM

Toshiba.. I used to have one of those Haha,I was going to give it to Asami but its crap now XD

Dawn 03-07-2013 08:47 PM

And sometimes, it's not worth getting the screen replaced.. mine was 3 years old and I was told it wasn't worth replacing it..

I have always had Dells.. my best friend had that make cause quote, 'she loved the fact it was heavy and she could smack people with it.'

Don't ask me why.. she just loves smacking people with her computers..

Natsunaine 03-07-2013 08:50 PM

That's true, But if its a laptop you treasure it could be worth it, not to mention the fact that I don't wanna just tell someone "Go get a new one" without knowing how much a new screen would cost because sometimes it is worth it.

Twigg 03-07-2013 08:54 PM

Well if I have to I'd get it replaced. It still runs good and I has everything I need installed.

Tiva 03-07-2013 08:55 PM

If it doesn't turn back on let the battery completely die and then recharge it and restart it. It works like a soft reset because the whole entire computer has to restart.

Dawn 03-07-2013 08:56 PM

I don't know how much a new screen is... I honestly, when mine went up and we did everything that has been suggested to it after we found the screen was not working, was offered the chance at a brand new labtop and I took it.. Dells are not cheap.. and I probably would of shelled out 100 dollars or more for a replacement.. Toshiba might be cheaper to replace the screen.. as I said, I have never owned one..

I know that feel, I had 3 months worth of work and what not in my Old Toshiba that I lost because I didn't have time to save it in my flashy.. D:

Dawn 03-07-2013 09:00 PM

I honestly can't say I have felt that kind of attachment to a labtop.. :/ Most of my labtops have been for gaming.. or music.. and since my ipod has all of my songs and I own the discs to most of my games, plus anything of real value, class work, art, etc.. are stored on flash discs the moment I start working on them.. I have never had to really worry about losing anything important that I couldn't get back..

Batty 03-07-2013 09:01 PM

I DID IT!

Alpha 03-07-2013 09:05 PM

Hmm....very nice Batty!

Dawn: Well, to each their own then, eh? To some, it is a bit of an attachment....*chuckles* nothing wrong with it certainly though.

Batty 03-07-2013 09:06 PM

THANK YOU, ALPHA!

Oh gods, the matching of the colors was hard. ><;

Well, Some people are gifted laptops and build an attachment from that

Twigg 03-07-2013 09:08 PM

I always get attached to my laptops. They're where I do my work and I have everything set how I want. As stupid as it sounds, its the one thing I have that stays constant. How I like. Also it was a gift from my dad, whom I only see once a year. If that..

And batty that's sexy. C:

Dawn 03-07-2013 09:09 PM

Alpha: Of course there's nothing wrong with it. XD Just like how some people have attachments to their cars.. I'll honestly admit, I have an attachment to my old Atari system back in the States.. it doesn't work but it's something from my childhood that I am fond of.. also I'll not part with the old red gameboy I have.. my mom suggested I sell two of my gameboys.. she was lucky her rear wasn't falling down the stairs.. D: I won't give up my game systems..

Well, if I didn't have the major issues with this one like it being locked, etc, I would of probably grown attached but when a system gives you trouble, your not likely to develop, 'Oh I'll fix you when you broke' feelings to it.

And nice batty.

Alpha 03-07-2013 09:09 PM

Twigg: Definitely not stupid.....it is an easy thing to keep around and stay constant. Also, nice new avi!

Batty:Oh I bet....definitely looks like it was a challenge....so many colors!

Dawn:....well, I've found the car attachment thing is more often found in guys. I'll admit, I'm a bit attached to mine, but it is the first car that I bought myself and even negotiated for. It's not some souped up sports car, but it is mine.

Tiva 03-07-2013 09:10 PM

Alpha... I think he would marry his Car if he could... he loves that thing more than me at times.

Dawn 03-07-2013 09:16 PM

Alpha: Haha, I didn't want to sound like I was picking on guys with that but yea.. I don't know how many times I wanted to shove my male co-workers into the freezer when they started talking about their cars. and show your girl some love too.. You can't take a car down the aisle, no matter if it can fit into a wedding dress and you find a big enough ring to fit it..

Tiva: If Alpha does do that, get a photo.. I want to see a car in a wedding dress. XD

Tiva 03-07-2013 09:18 PM

... Oh no it would be Alpha in the wedding dress.... he has a black 04 mustang... I threatened to get it repainted pink while he was at basic.... he told me he would kill me.

Batty 03-07-2013 09:19 PM

Not so many colors, as it was hard blending it all xD;

Tiva;; I'd beat that boy silly! -squinty eyes at alpha-

Natsu & Dawn & Twiggu;; THANK CHUU.
