@Luna, I don't mind at all. I wonder if I, myself, would have been a Wiccan if it had been introduced to me sometime in my life :p I didn't even know about it until after I left college.

I got lucky and found a friend who sorta-kinda-notreally-practices it, and from their on I hunted down more info.

@Lio- Modern Wicca didn't become popular until the seventies, but it's been around as long as the oldest religions.

Truthfully their isn't much that christianity has that they didn't steal from another religion.

@Luna~ I do believe that its said she is the creator of witchcraft in greek mythology. Can't fully remember though. Been awhile sense I've read up on my greek mythology. So hard to find new books I haven't read =/

ohh... What is the series by rick roirden. Guy who made persy and the olympians, he's making ones about the egyptian gods now as well. Good books.

I haven't read those books but I've seen the movie o .o... Wasn't so bad I guess... Wouldn't mind reading the books and wouldn't mind another movie either to be honest o .o...

The movie was horrid in comparison to the books. They got SOOOO much wrong it wasn't even funny.

yeah the movie was horrible, the books are like 50 billion times better :o

I try to be more sympathetic towards movies with any type of mythology in it. I have a passion for mythology but when a movie comes out I want it to be at least some what accurate of what they really were. But most of them time its just sickening. You get directors ad writers who want to show their own interpretation of mythology in which there is no room for confusion in the events that had/may have happened seeings how the stories had not changed for thousands of years and then I find kids and even some teens that believe that is what really happened and they are totally wrong...

And to be honest I hadn't even heard about the Olympians' book until after the movie. And to be honest I was pleasantly surprised because it wasn't about the past but what if the Greek gods were still present in modern times.
