Yeah that Belle, I love the movie and I think one day I shall try to make all of the disney princesses.
Oh I bet my niece was the same way, she is all most 2 years old now. I would go to put her down and she would grab my hair and refuse to let go til i leaned back up with her. |
someone should give me a suggestion for an avi XD i want to keep testing out the limits of this new body+hair combo
|
I just spent like...all the money I had on the lion item TuT I love it so much...
|
well it does look good on you~
|
Thank you very much xD I have to earn about 15k+ back LOL
|
Uma, your backgrounds never end to stun me. <3
|
That's funny, Tiva. My son was that way. He was so spoiled, and he loved being held. It wasn't until he realized he could have fun climbing that he quit wanting to be held, lol.
Lookin' good, Sadrain! Although I must say, your avi is making me miss Crysandrea just a little bit. |
it does? how?
|
The top reminds me of the Dreamleak items from bug catching. I was sooooooo hooked on the forest, it was kinda sad, lol.
|
It's certainly not my best, but I just couldn't come up with anything better on the hit. I really want some of those egg items, the avatar ideas are buzzing around my head
Still, that's sort of least of my trisphee worries. ._. One more month, and I've depleted all runes I had saved up. >_< |
Sadrain I adore your avatar, that is one of my most favorite color combos, though I know I have been doing blue lately but wow! Thanks about my backgrounds, some are just repetitions of backgrounds I have used before. XD
Kilala I wish you all the best with your applications. Omg my husband is the same way but without the video games. He is working free-lance but doing less work and more internet surfing is what is really happening, ugh. I have put my foot down and made some declarations but nothing is happening except actually he did finish a screenplay he is going to send off to someone he knows. Sorry to run on about it but it seems we have a similar situation. And yes, we have 2 lovely Bengals. How is everyone doing? *waves to all the others* Have I asked if anyone plays WoW? |
I changed my avatar just shortly before you came online, haha. I like this one much better and yes, the colorcombo is very nice. Soothing, despite having so much orange.
I don't play WoW. It's p2p. >_< My only MMO still is SWTOR. |
sorry not into wow XD in fact it is one of the few fandoms i wont even draw for
|
I am not getting much chance to play WoW...my time is so busy.
I have never used that hair Sadrain, but it really is stunning. And it works so well with that background! |
Yes! I thought I would use some green on the avatar, but it didn't fit in. I just now got earth spirit, thought I would use the tree roots from it, same green color, but it threw the balance off, although the idea was neat.
|
Hey, if you ever need someone to vent about your hubby to, if you're even comfortable doin' that sort of thing, I'd be more than happy to lend a proverbial ear.
My husband has all these great ideas, and has such potential, but lacks the motivation to get anything accomplished. And thanks for the well wishes. :) |
so is my beachwear really a flop? it seems really unpopular while my last two were well recieved
|
The colors all look nice together, but the sand just doesn't say beach to me. It's almost like looking at the ocean on the horizon from the desert, and you wouldn't wear a swimsuit to the desert, thus it feels out of place.
|
Sadrain I LOVE those tree roots, I have them too and have used them before, they are really magnificent, but you are right, they have to be paired with the right items. That drape skirt with the 3 or maybe 4 buckles is lovely. I really like the way they made it sort of translucent.
Choco I like your swim outfit. The ocean in the distance, the sun burning down and the scorching sands. The dunes look like sand to me, with the water beyond. The towel brings the sun to the land, the swimsuit matches the water, it is really well done overall! Ah Kilala, I could go on and on. My husband had worked at a very prestigious place but then they fired him so he lived off of his 401k for a couple years and then came to be with me in Maryland (we had been together before and the spark was still there upon meeting again). He has all these ideas, good ones, floating in his head to make screenplays. And he has produced 3 or 4 of them and one of them is really good (imo) so he just this week sent it off to someone he knows who deals in that sort of thing. Otherwise, like today he just went off with his friend to go and see a movie (granted it is during the time of my Hindi lesson), but still. And he sleeps in and gets up late though I have complained about that so he has been not sleeping in so much as of late. But he just seems to lack the motivation to really do anything. It took years to get this first script ready. Ugh. So much wasted time. What about yours? |
layered the other way there is messy pink all over, any suggestions for a better beach?
thankyou dear though saying it is nice does not much help me fix it XD |
Both Wyserva & Chanting Waters have a lower sandy background.
It ends up looking something like this, i added in Knox so the water doesn't show through. |
That is a superb background Tiva.
|
And I fell out of the conversation again. Augh.
|
That is ok, I fall out of it all the time and am left with..."So...how is everyone doing" lol. It just happens. So anyhow, I am in Nashville visiting my mom. She is very elderly and rather frail but very happy to see me and I am glad to see her. I have one more day here and then go home Wed morning. We're going to watch some TV now, fun huh? We failed at the crossword puzzle in today's newspaper. Ah, getting older is no fun!
Edit: I forgot to comment on your avatar Sadrain. It's so ghostly and ethereal! Makes me think of midnight and cold fogs, I love it! |
Yeah, it went from theme 'lonely/different in the big city' to this... I am not disappointed. Thank you. :)
And, have a good time with your mother! It's such a precious thing. I still live with mine, but the illnesses and age are getting the best of her and I really do wonder - for how long more will she be with me? So, how I can, I try to make this time good. I am not sure about distances, is it far from your home? |
so is it bad mine is still too young for any of that?
|
No it's not bad, and my mom is not exactly old, just had hard life and lot of health problems since childhood. She's very active in her mind and keeps up with world and there isn't a thing we can't discuss. I am sure she has more open and interesting mind than quite many people even in their 20's and 30's.
|
she sounds fun dude
|
Sorry it's taken me so long to get back in here... Um... Where to begin? -_-'
My hubby was working for IBEW (Electrical Union), and was let go the last week of October. No warning or anything. The day they let him go, he comes home with a two hundred dollar phone and contract and every intention of getting another job as quickly as possible. He took 2 weeks before he started looking for a job, but he was looking into positions that he wasn't exactly qualified for, so he never got any call backs. Miraculously enough, just enough money for rent and food managed to fall into our laps, so we made it through until he started temp work for a friend of his. He worked on and off for about a month, but by the time our daughter was ready to make her debut, he hadn't worked in weeks. I haven't seen him putting in applications, and like I said earlier, it's seems like he doesn't want to work. So I'm putting in applications and hoping for the best. I hope you're enjoying your time in Nashville. I bet your mom really likes you being down there with her. Sadrain, if your mom likes nature and is able to get out and about, take her to a nature trail or something. My family and I went a couple of weeks ago to one over by the Chattahoochee River. It was paved, and up to the 1.5 mi mark was pretty much level ground. It's something I wish I had known about before my grandma had passed, she would've loved it. :) |
Sadrain I know so well how you feel. My mom was sad I was leaving in the morning and then I got all sad, argh. Anyhow I try to be strong and not show her that I am affected too much as I don't want her to be sad. Especially since I will see her again in 3 months for her 90th birthday. My mom had me quite late in life.
On a happier note, I am trying to think of something happy to say...Choco you are real lucky so that is a happy thing to have a mom who is still in her youth or prime. I am really happy for you. Do you have brothers/sisters, large family or small? Are you all close? Sadrain my mom lives 700 miles from me, a 2 hour flight but I only have so much time off and so far I am spending it all coming here. I came in March, now July, then in October I'll come back, so that is a goodly amount of time. Bless you all for listening to my sad thoughts, sorry. Kilala, I sympathize, you are really special and strong to do what you have been doing which is stepping up to the plate to be the breadwinner. You and I both. But a man's ego is fragile I guess, women are stronger I think if I can say that and not be chastised for being sexist against men. But it does seem as if sometimes they take these things harder and think that there is no place for them and everything is useless. What can we do to get our guys over this hump? You are doing what you have to do, getting ready to look for any kind of work. But my guy, your guy...idk, nothing is happening inside, internally in that place that makes one get out bound and determined to do anything to support one's family. I don't mean to be too hard on them, God knows it is a terrible place to be in, to not have a job, but I just want to say to my guy look, if I can do it you can do it! I would love for there to be a way to sort of prod mine without him taking it as total criticism. And thank you about my mom, it is so nice to be here in Nashville and I do look forward to coming back again. :] On the other hand oh how I want to be home! Hehe. |
But sometimes old people think that you really aren't sad you're leaving, if you don't show it... And well, it really is quite the age. It's good to have your mom with you for so long.
And wow, that really is quite the distance. ): But at least you can see her that often, not just once in a year or something. |
yes, i am very luck, my mom just turned 40 and my grandma is not-quite 60 so i will have them both for a good long time, though at barely 24 i suppose i have not had them long at all yet
|
Wow Choco, your mom is even younger than mine! I thought I had a pretty young mom of 42. We are pretty lucky to still have our families around.
I am the oldest child, and my parents are 2nd-oldest (dad) and middle (mom) so I am one of the older cousins on both sides. My grandparents are all still with us, and although they are beginning to get more tired and fragile they are still in good health. My husband, on the other hand, is the middle child of middle/younger parents. Both of his grandfathers had passed on before I met him and he lost his grandmother this last summer. It wasn't a sad passing, though. She was in pain and ready to leave. |
yeah XD she got carded for booze regularly up until the last two years or so hahaha and indeed we are
my bf' is an only child and his mom is in her fifties and his dad is dying so he won't be around much longer but he has two aunts so there is that |
Haha, that's pretty awesome. If my mom drank at all, she would probably still get carded. She doesn't look 40+ at all.
Here is a (one year old) photo of me and my beautiful mom! I'm sorry to hear about your bf's dad. :( At least he has the time to say his goodbyes. |
i don't look at irl pics dear
yeah but i know he isn't ready, it came too fast |
That's fine, you don't have to if you don't want to. I don't see the harm in sharing with whoever wants to.
|
true~ but i am a weirdo, i like to see people as they like to be seen, it saves me from assuming things about them and changing my feelings over them based on looks ^^ i am intelligent enough to know and understand that i am as a human incapable of remaining objective on the matter of looks and do prefer to give everyone the benefit of the doubt
|
That makes sense. I guess I don't see my avatar as an expression of my inner self so much as an artistic challenge where I get to match and dress up. I mean, sure, I do have a specific style that I usually go for in my avis. I guess I...just never thought of it that way. That's pretty a pretty cool thing to go by.
|
//jumps in
I like when people are able to hide even their gender like for example wayyy back when(when I was still on zantarni) I had a friend and he always had a female avvie and everyone thought he was a female. I felt so bad when he came out and told us he was a male. But its pretty cool how people can even do that kind of thing. |
