I'm not sure my parents really think about it. They support me, but I'm still so new that I don't really know much...

I'm glad they're supportive.

I hear so many stories of people being let down by family they thought loved them.

On a lighter note me and Jenjen did protection charm on our house today.

The only witch i currently know who can make that claim had no true choice; mother was psychic and dad was a silent witch, it's in her genes and still goin strong :D

I'm not sure to be honest. It goes back to my family not likeing to talk about anything. I think so as from the traits I've heard about in my great grandparents they strike me as pagan. That's on both sides.
But I taught myself most of what I know. I think my mum wanted to keep me out as I attract things. I had some bad (as in messed me up for a long time) experiences as a child due to energies my mother had no way of defending against. Half of them I still won't tell her about.

I'm super happy! I now have two new pieces of moldavite!!! Which is rare! and powerful! and i just love the stuff! I wanna necklace or ring but it's mega-expensive.

I got them because the only one i had is used to make Moldavite Oil, and it's a little difficult to get the oil off the stone when it's so fragile. I wanted at least one more piece to work with every day. A generally accurate, though not too flattering, description of it in small, rough pieces is crystallised snot. At least in my opinion.

Oh, a tip; don't put even one drop of moldavite oil in your oil burner at night unless you can handle really, really vivid dreams. I experimented with that, and i was so disturbed . . . who would rape angels?! I still have no idea what that dream meant!

as for my family, they accept it. but that's mainly because i don't give them a choice. i have no intentions of changing who i am to suit someone else. this is something i've always been very firm about and those who care about me accept this. if they don't, we don't communicate. it's just that simple, actually.

ok... it's been over an hour since i posted last... if this is considered double posting, i apologize. but i've been sitting here and... i've thought of something. what do you all think about drawing up circles? do you feel it's absolutely necessary no matter what? do you feel you can get away with doing spells and such without them all the time? do you feel a circle is just a waste of time?

A circles always necessary to be honest. It's just how strong you make the circle that changes. With something small I just throw up a quick personal one, but if it's something serious I go the whole hog.

If i'm only doing something like universal/cosmic mail-order (def: sending out a wish into the wider universe) then i don't bother. If i'm doing small spells, then depending on the spell i'll either just use a simple white-light bubble or not do it. I usually use proper circle-casting when i'm doing ritual spell-casting or if i want to.

For example, when i did tarot in that shop i worked in, there was a constant circle of protection around the room in which i did the tarot; no one else went in there, and i'd put a door in for when i had a customer. So when they decided to move me into the kitchen without my permission they broke circle. I was not in a good way over christmas, as you can imagine. :D

Served them right; break a witch's circle and not only does the witch get backlash but so does the breaker. You ask permission before touching a witch's things because for a start it's polite, but it could also be a protected item and you don't wanna get hexed. This guy didn't understand that even after i left and couldn't understand why whenever he touched my stuff he felt awful til i came in to sort it out.

Another odd fact is that if you react "badly" at first to elestial quartz then you react well to moldavite; i'm proof of that. My dad and brother, lucky gits, can handle both without problems.

If you feel ill, have a headache, or feel fuzzy in any way when you hold a stone in your hand (after making sure it's not a toxic one of course) do't worry, probably you really need that stone in your life and if you always have some on you then the "negative" effect dies down as the stone begins to work on you.

While I'm huge on Ancient Egypt and the like, I've found that worshiping their gods and goddesses doesn't come naturally. It feels a bit...forced in fact...

I'm still sure I'm pagan, I think I'm just taking this from a bad angle?

How did you all settle on who you worship? And methods of pray? And...actually, I need help figuring out anything @.@

Hey there Everyone! Sorry I've been not here over the last two days...

*Cough* Uhh... I have a question. Raven mentioned a silent witch... What is that?

A silent witch is the same as a secret/closet witch. It just means they don't tell anyone about it. At all.

My friend didn't find out about her dad until he died and she cleared out his house. She found a witch ball that's over 100 years old, and has been through about 50+ years of storms, rain, wind, etc. 'cause it was buried in the garden, a cast iron toad that looks damn real and is heavy as hell, it too is old, and a set of chalices, among other stuff.

That witch ball has some major energy; no joke i nearly dropped it the first time she handed it to me.

And Morticki, i don't stick to one pantheon, i use three, but the Egyptians i speak to more because i feel more comfortable with them. I use all the proper flattery and everything they used to use to grab the gods' attention in Egypt, but it can be a bit long-winded so for the Greek and Roman pantheons i don't do that. Or if i'm in a rush.
