No idea. Again, from the episode. She only has five on her right but that's because she lost the sixth and the damage is visible.
Still need to work out the kind of items my character would bother carrying around. She's not the type to load up on armaments. |
The APC should be able to carry a ton. But...on her...probably no more than the weight of two pistols plus a rifle. Lev is Lev, so HE can carry a lot, but...yeah.
Speaking of Lev...hm. Any angel/demon feuds soon? Anyways, heading out. Dead tired. |
Well, she's got a horse that near dead and has been wandering on her own for a while so she wouldn't have too much. And yeah, she's not really an angel in her head so she won't have an issue with Lev herself but there might be some polarized magnet happenings there. ;)
Night Esp. EDIT - oh, and by the way, polydactyl is apparently the word, but I'm referencing an X-Files episode on this . ;) |
Lev won't try to eat her, no worries. The demon inside him as come to believe that he is the son of God, and must use his newfound power to reopen Heaven. So he's inclined to welcome people in to his 'flock'. Hell, he might even give you a rifle.
But an Angelic soul, you say? That means power...power that he could possibly possess if he were to devour her. Oh, the temptation! I have tension again! A Fluttershy 'Woohoo! for me! |
I know you still want Lev to eat Feenai's innocence, especially after her idealistic speech there :p
|
So... no one is going to respond to Kasdeja?
|
Not when my brain's fried.
|
I threw something out there :p
|
I'm not really in the vicinity here or if I am I'm under a proverbial rock and not inclined to come out. Maybe a literal rock depending on the current surroundings.
Dara's not exactly wise in the ways of the force so she won't have a clue about Lev's demony-ness or what that might mean. Could be interesting. ;) (and still have some equipment to deal with). |
So, anyone have any recommendations for my last 4 equipment points? (rarity 1 only). Dara doesn't have much that she can't carry on her own, or rather, anything that she can't carry on her own. Her .22 would be about the heaviest thing.
|
I didn't even use all the equipment point when I started so I'm not the best to make suggestions, but those weapons-grade lasers have a myriad of uses aside from shooting things.
|
Those are a bit higher rarity than Dara would start with. I'll nab a couple eden waters I think, and maybe a visor. They useful? Anything mundane that's not on the starting equpment list that I can sneak past our dark overlord?
|
Eden waters are definitely useful, as we only have Sage as the theurge, though Lev...heals...kind of. I know Shealtiel was using his visor a lot until Feenai destroyed it saving everyone's life.
|
I say lots of ammo. And I totally vote your .22 is the Toz 17-01. It's an old Soviet bolt action that can hit anything you aim at within 100 yards, and sounds like a whip when it goes off.
I was trying to give everyone else a chance to get a reply in, cause I've noticed I usually hog the first responses to a situation. EDIT: I'm totally taking pictures of all my guns. Will post the link when I'm done. And the Toz is in that collection! |
Just to note, that was my MID I was using, not Sensory Enhancement Visor. And it was, indeed quite useful until Fee broke it. :p
The visor would be good, too, though, since no one has one (though Dante sort of has a built-in one). |
You didn't let Kas play his suicide game, Salone! He was going to make each party member kill one of them or he would kill them all himself. :p
|
Oh, does Jeanne not have one? I thought someone did.
|
I can edit, I can edit! I can so edit!
|
Oh, huh. Suzerain, Feenai is gonna have a huge issue with that. Jeanne will too I think :/
|
Nah, it's fine Salone. Serra has a point, it would be cruel to the characters to force that on them. Not that Kesdaja isn't cruel, but still, that's pretty mean as a GM.
Though the fact that he just murdered 40 (questionably) innocent people likely won't sit too well, either. Even Shealtiel is shocked. :p |
Well, I did plan on using a standard .22 semi-auto with a 10 round clip but bolt action is nice. Is it the type you can dump in a mud puddle and run over with an SUV and it stil works?
|
Yeah. Has less moving parts than a stick, honestly. I wouldn't run it over (my baby is just too beautiful!), but it's rugged as all getout. The magazine is supposed to only hold 5, but if you feel like abusing it you can squeeze seven in there. But mags are hard as hell to find, because it was made back in '55 and it had issues jumping The Wall in the first place. But I dare you to find a .22 rifle with accuracy like this one.
|
Yes, even that was a bit much for Feenai. Jeanne might be okay with it, them being basically a raiding party, but Feenai is too sheltered and naive to accept 40 people dying just to show off power.
|
For the record, (I don't think this is clear at this point) the Nephilim were born 7000 years ago, but they've were in a sort of temporal stasis until the Calamity. So, Kasdeja is, in some ways, very like a child. He literally doesn't understand the value of life, especially with the way the afterlife works now.
|
You definately know more about the topic than I do, Salone. I'm just basing this one the rifle of my dads that I use. Spending another rarity point on a scope! Can double as an eyeglass. ;)
Meh, sticking with what I have. Make sense for the character. Have one more thing to pick up. On another note, will say that Dara doesn't have a moral stance of anykind. Been too busy trying not to get killed. She's pretty much mentally your standard citizen that happens to be in an apocalytic world. |
I just had this thought... about our characters' backstories.
Have any of us dealt with any seriously insane situations before? Anyone been to the Holy Land? I was thinking Lev must have been through some crazy stuff if he ended up here from Kenya. Shealtiel has actually stayed pretty local since he was studying abroad in Greece when the Calamity hit. So he isn't quite as experienced as he might come off as, though he's done a lot of network research and has worked with undead spirits a lot obviously. |
Dara's from Northern Italy at the southern end of the alps, rural area. She's seen minions walking about and snuck by nasties but that's it. She's the duck and cover type right now. No interesting in fighting the things. She may have walked by something really nasty and no known it since she generally gives dangerous things a wide berth unless she has no other choice. She's aware of strong meanies aroud, but hasnt' had to personally fight any. At most, she may have hidden from one that was really close or ran for her life and made it.

-skims-
...Somehow I get the feeling I missed a LOT. -dreads having to read the RP- |
Nope, Fee has no background with such things. I like to believe she has a strong mind, but...you see how she reacts xD
|
Lev's seen some things. I could write books on all his fictional exploits.
Also, all my guns: http://photobucket.com/salonesguns These are what I currently have on me. I have about 8 more in my old town, but I can't take pictures when they're a hundred miles away. I've actually downsized my collection by 3 to try to ease congestion on storage space. Unfortunately, there's a Saiga 12 and a Taurus PT1911 at my gun store that is ultra tempting. When I figure out how to add commentary to pictures on Photobucket, I'll update with what each one is. Some are pretty easy to pick out. Others not so much. Oh, and the Toz: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...s/SDC11674.jpg |
I think we need a response from Jeanne before we can move much farther. Though, Lev can do whatever he's going to do next, I suppose. I have to admit, I'm curious to how he'll respond.
|
You ever seen a hobo at a Golden Corral? Something like that. Will try to post from my phone here at work.
|
Turns out my phone doesn't like to type the paragraphs I had in mind, so I had to wait for lunch. Tried to throw a curve in there. Na'lsa really does believe in himself when it comes to being the son of the Father. I've cooked up a few rants about his "brother" for when the time is right.
Also, I left the last bit ambiguous. Mostly because I don't know if you'd be cool with Lev having THAT much power. Also lets me tire him down so the real Lev can actually have some screen time. |
Salone, that was mind-blowingly awesome. I think it makes sense that since he devoured the Saint, he'd gain some abilities in that regard. Maybe he can only manifest one skill set at a time, and switching aspects requires downtime in between where he's regular Lev?
|
That sounds good to me. If that guy lives and still retained his soul, I totally want to send him off to spread the word of the Lion of God.
If not, Na'lsa can angst out. |
Okay, I'm curious now. You watched "The Ghost and the Darkness" perchance Salone?
|
That's exactly what Lev/Na'lsa is based off of. Movie pretty much scarred me when I was a kid, saw it when I was like, 4 (I caught the end that showed the railroad, and I loved trains. So, I wanted to see the whole thing with all the train goodness. There was no such thing). But yeah, that movie seriously did damage to little me for a long time. I actually made a trip to Chicago back in '08 just to stare down what's left of those two lions at the Field Museum.
Okay, there were other things involved but that was my main mission. |
Heh. I've been curious about those. I've seen the movie many times (I have a thing for animals versus mankind movies, particuarly sharks ;)). I thought about it when I first heard Tsavo but only just now connected it to the Lion idea.
|
Once at the zoo, I saw kids throwing rocks at the lions. I started a scuffle with them because they wouldn't stop. Just in case that if the lions ever escaped, they knew who got those kids to stop pelting them.
As far as animals versus mankind goes...I can't bring myself to hurt a spider, but if I ever see a lion free he better get to me before I get to my guns. But if he does, I'll die pissing myself. Seriously. It was hard growing up in Arkansas, knowing that there were mountain lions just roaming around. I own a big enough arsenal now to feel slightly safe. Partially for the zombies. Partially for the fear that back in the early 2000's, a lion escaped from a private zoo in Arkansas and was never found. |
Salone, it's like you read my mind. That was awesome. :D
