Well I found a bit of a catch. You stated that Elder wood pretty much seeks power, and Thestral core will only truly grant it's power to those who face death.

That makes me want to think that with that wood and core combo, the wand would choose to retain as much power as it could, especially from those who have faced death. I feel as though since the wand itself (supposedly) lead to the deaths of many of it's owners it had seen enough death for the core to rely on the wand's retained powers. I almost want to say the Elder wand had no true Owner. It relied only on it's self and it's own power and searched to gain even more...

(but then again, if the wand truly was made by death, then that makes even more sense seeing as how death would wish to lead all those who possessed the wand to meet him and to make sure none of them ever cheated him again...)

Yeeeah. I don't know. I don't see the wand as being particularly power hungry, as much as its owners may have been. But I'm biased here on thestral natures themselves and the level of sentience wands have, so.

I'm not sure the cheating him thing comes into play... He had his scheme to take their lives anyway, and it was only the youngest brother that defeated/cheated him.

Personally, I don't count the ability to fix other wands as "powerful" so much as unique, so I fail to see any real evidence of the wand's power. We know certain core and wood combinations have quirks. What if this is just one of those? Not necessarily because of just the materials, but.

Idk. I was just putting in my two cents worth of possibilities!

Lols.

But your and Asami's convo was extremely interesting...

Gallagher 06-20-2012 02:43 PM

Yeah. We def have some differences in the basic foundations that our opinions come from. It makes for interesting debates.

Kali_Namir 06-20-2012 02:48 PM

I think it's really cool!!!

Gallagher 06-20-2012 02:50 PM

We'd totally make for those friendly rival sort of wandmakers.

If she was a wandmaker at all. Sami could get into many things.

Kali_Namir 06-20-2012 02:53 PM
