Iron, hun, I didn't mean the fact they are able to breathe or not..

I meant the fact it is just that cold, that someone with no way of controlling their body heat, would freeze in a matter of moments.

IronMaiden 02-12-2013 06:41 PM

True, lol

But take everything in to play, every detail to know and learn. Yet, with our winters, they are getting worse as time goes on and lasting longer. XD

So, in some cases, we would need heat, fire, etc. With none of that, we wouldn't last a winter and nor would the zombies. XD

I tend to go under the assumption that breathing is not needed. And that eating isn't really either, but they do it from instinct more than need.

If properly prepared for everything, I'd rather deal with a cold survival. But the amount of prep isn't likely, so I'll stick to milder areas with regular risk.

Has anyone ever considered the possibility of zombies that aren't killed with any old headshot? People can sometimes survive them as is.

Maro 02-12-2013 06:47 PM

If it doesn't hit the brain stem they are more likely to survive people just enjoy the fact of "boom headshot" kinds of kills.

I'm from Newfoundland we're born preparing for the winters,eheh..

IronMaiden 02-12-2013 06:55 PM

That is true, and actually the back of the head where the brain is connection to the spine in a way, so more likely to kill anyone and probably any zombie. Just can't really say a head shot would kill them instantly.

Maro 02-12-2013 06:59 PM

They'd most likely survive long enough for their body and/or brain to realize the signals are no longer being sent. Beheading victims take up to 18 seconds before they die after all.

IronMaiden 02-12-2013 07:23 PM

I have seen on some shows, like The Walking Dead, where the zombie has no body, yet the brain is still active and wanting to eat. But I belive that would be because the soft part which is at the back of the head is still there, so not yet killing the zombie, as earlier with head shots.

If you look at the movie Day of the Dead they showed that as long as the brain stem is intact the zombie can more or less function.

At least I am kind enough to be honest.

Hey, I am quite alive, thank you.

Maro 02-13-2013 04:40 PM

-snickers quietly- That's funny.

IronMaiden 02-13-2013 05:22 PM

Well, all I have to say is, everyone is alive here in the forest of zombies.

lol

Maro 02-13-2013 05:24 PM

-curls up in a sleeping bag-

IronMaiden 02-13-2013 05:39 PM

Awe, Maro's tired... Poor thing.

Maro 02-13-2013 05:54 PM

-yawns softly- So sleeepyy...

IronMaiden 02-13-2013 05:57 PM

Then you should go to bed, my dear.

Maro 02-13-2013 06:05 PM
