I expect so. Or the Lady Scrimshaw. Which will lead me to my next line of inquiry and suspicion that I'll put together...eventually.

Well obviously I have to say that I can't confirm or deny who is next, but no no, no worries just yet.

Although if you fail they all die, so there's that. Well, except the murderer. Maybe. I can fix that little tidbit too.

Lady Scrimshaw and Alabaster are too close, I can't see Lady Scrimshaw killing off Alabaster because of how defensive she is of him. Alabaster could quite possibly be the killer if Lady Scrimshaw dies. If it's none of them, then it's up in the air until we get more clues.

That comment from Dervy about the wine though...

Lawtan 11-02-2015 12:09 AM

Not necessarily...but I need to gather evidence, and I don't have the time tonight...

I'm pretty well convinced that the wine has something to do with everything. In the last chapter Giselle's narration mention that her husband "should have shared," and I suspect she was referring to the wine that went missing.

Lawtan 11-02-2015 12:20 AM

That doesn't match up with the food smeared in Laudanum, though.

Giselle Tavish did mention she was going to take a drink before she died.

So obviously the drink must of had poison in it.

Also
"Whoever the killer is would probably have had second thoughts about doing it if they had known we were going to be drinking some real wine tonight."

What does Dervy mean?

CupcakeDolly 11-02-2015 12:26 AM

OH SNAP.
What if the wine was used in the cooking process, and Alabaster somehow mixed it up with his medication?
Or, alternatively, someone took the wine because it looked super yummy, thus leading 'Baster to fetch more, giving the killer time to wander in and poison the food with the laudanum?

Edit:

I think that was just an offhand joke about how the killer might have been less crabby and homicidal if they'd known they were going to get a decent drink.

Lawtan 11-02-2015 12:29 AM

Hmm...can we ask Mr. Tavish about his actions prior to the meal?
I think you are well onto something there. And if you are, I think I have it down to two suspects.

But, it is near midnight...so need to sleep.

Sure, I got some questions left for this round, I'll go do some interrogating. -cracks knuckles-

I'm just going to keep spilling out random questions being a bad cop until I get some decent information. xD

Salone 11-02-2015 04:34 AM

You're doing well so far! Just remember, if you ask the killer a question they're probably going to lie. So don't automatically believe everything you read!

CupcakeDolly 11-02-2015 04:48 AM

Hmmmmmmmm.....
I've got a theory brewin', but unfortunately I'm going to have to see who gets killed next before I know for sure.

Illusion 11-02-2015 09:38 AM

Everyone seems genuine in terms of Alabaster being loyal and not the being the killer.

So I really do suspect Lady Scrimshaw entirely now. If the murder weapon was indeed poison from the wine, she has the knowledge to form such a concoction let alone literally having a home field advantage and reason to kill almost anyone.

BUT GAWSH DARN IT IT'S ALWAYS THE BUTLER!

edit: If my theory that I'm withholding from speaking about is right the next one to die is Dervy.

ml1201 11-02-2015 05:39 PM

I've been wondering something, did Lady Scrimshaw get the only meal that was specifically made to her tastes (being a lighter meal) or were the rest of the meals also made to try and fit what they seem to like?
