Lack of supplies, mostly. and not knowing how to crochet (some of the crafts are for crochet, and I'm a knitter)

SparX 02-18-2018 11:34 PM

I always derp on the difference between the two.
I can't do any of the above as much as I have tried, even with a loom XD

knitting uses two needles, crochet uses a hook. thus, knitters are oftentimes better prepared for if a vampire shows up.

mdom 02-18-2018 11:44 PM

That's a real interesting pro to being a knitter xDDD

Den 02-18-2018 11:49 PM

Yeah, well, have you seen the size of some of those wooden needles? You could stake a vampire with 'em!

Crocheters make better pirates though.

And if international shipping wasn't so ridiculously expensive, I'd suggest a craft swap, because while I finally managed to grasp the concept of crochet, knitting still confuzzles me to pieces.

mdom 02-20-2018 12:21 AM

brah tell me about shipping international T___T

Den 02-20-2018 01:49 AM

oh lord, I know about international shipping. it is such a pain in the ass.

Death by Mirrors 02-20-2018 05:49 PM

Absolutely! I'd love to send random craft packages to all my friends, but alas I'm not peeing money either -.-

Den 02-20-2018 07:41 PM

It's hard enough for me, just living an hour away from the craft stores.

mdom 02-20-2018 08:10 PM

that's why I only join holiday cards in sites, when I can ^^

Death by Mirrors 02-21-2018 08:00 AM

Yup, but the best card you can send to someone also is a bit bulky.

mdom 02-21-2018 01:04 PM

tfw the wiki page in portuguese of caulking doesn't explain what that really is....

looks pretty cool!! I should maybe try to send it to my sister.

Den 02-22-2018 01:50 AM

caulking is both a noun and a verb... Caulk is also a noun and a verb. The noun for both basically is a type of sealant, usually silicone or rubber of some sort. the verb is the application of said sealant. Does that help any, Mdom?

mdom 02-22-2018 08:27 PM

Yes, thanks Den!
Now, where can I find some to make the cake...

SparX 02-24-2018 10:41 AM
