so - i juuuust finished the new Poldark series (it ran from 2015 to 2019 on BBC).... but it's based on a book series of 12 books (and book 12 is kind of a spoiler for what goes beyond the series! :O )

since my library has all 12 books, i'm now wondering if i want to go ahead and request book 1 NOW, or wait until i've finished the book i started (that i own) that i've set aside for another library book?

(if that doesn't make sense - i've started reading a book i own. then i got an email that my book at the library was ready for pickup. so i set my own book aside to get the library book. library books get read before my own books, as library books have a deadline; my own do not)

hmm, i guess you might not want to read the whole series in a go? so maybe read the book you own between, say, the first and second books of the series? all up to you though, go by your mood.

I damaged a library book. I didn't realize the jug of water I keep in my backseat had frozen, busted and had a slow leak. It soaked my whole bookag including one of my D&D books and the book I had out from the library. I can't go back for a while in Shame even though I already paid for it.

I hate reading series a they come out if I can't read them all back to back it drives me nuts.

i think once i finish my current library book, i'll finish the book i've started (#1), then read book #2 (also that i own). when i'm almost done with that, i'll request book 1 in the series. as i get close to finishing that, i'll request book 2; and so on.

of course, this will get interrupted when one of the other books i've requested from the library come in (it publishes next week). i'm not sure if others are reading the series as well, so they'll probably be delays between books, and i can work on my own books i'm rereading when that happens too. :D

i hear you there.... i'm in the middle of a few series that i'm reading. if i don't read the next one in a timely fashion, i've forgotten what's happened in the book before (GRRM, i'm looking at you!) the problem with one of them is who knows when the author will publish the last few she has listed on her site; her newsletters are all about her current legal nightmares. *sigh*

Aww what a cute bear!

But seriously though, it looks really familiar, what is that bear from?
