Baldr, the Norse god killed by Hodr through Loki's treachery, was the son of Odin and Frigga, the king and queen of the Aesir gods. He was the most beautiful, perfect, yada yada etc etc of the gods, loved by all, whom all living and dead things (besides mistletoe) swore to never harm, and likewise each shed tears for him after he was killed.
He is eventually resurrected to inherit the new earth after Ragnarok (the final battle). There's a bit of a parallel to the Christ story in his. |

Baldur plus five others if I remember correctly, but who cares about them. ;)
Yeah, mistletoe not so dangerous on a tree, slightly more dangerous when thrown by gods. |

Annnnnnd I just took a closer look at the Lord of Karmic Intervention item, wondering just why it had that name.
Lord Of Karmic Intervention. Smooth you guys. ;) |
The only thing I have to add to the Norse Gods discussion (besides saying that I looove the Norse gods) is that J. Michael Straczynski's Thor run IS AWESOME (was awesome? I don't know if it finished but I'm on trade 2 so far)

Awesome items this month :)

I said the same thing earlier with the letters a point size higher instead of bolded, so it was a little more subtle. Sadly, Coda was the only one who caught it. :C |
xD... I already knew.
I thought it was quite obvious. |
I truly love the items this month.
I'm definitely donating! |

It works. :). I didn't even consider the Thor movie actually, since to me it's another comic book character that I have next to no knowledge about. I like the Norse gods though, and Loki's an interesting character with his general role among the other gods and then in Ragnarok.

I'm having fun with the new monthlies >.>

So it appears. The goat skull is a nice touch. :)
