Sapphire Edge. This was her identity now. It felt different and a little scary. But surely it was the right thing to do. The costume definitely felt silly. But every female superhero has to ooze sex appeal, right? After catching her fiancee cheating and subsequently throwing his car into the harbor, Emily knew she was different than most women and had to put that to good use. Using her strength to wield a sword the size of her own body, nobody would dare defy her again. New York was safe as long as she was there to frighten everyone into submission.

Hmm... good thing Quiet isn't grading the second contest on sentence structure. I just noticed a bunch of typos in mine. That's what I get for throwing it together whilst nervously anticipating my wisdom teeth removal. Oh, well.

I'm glad just because I'm not terribly good at writing. that wouldn't be fair for me going up against all you awesome writers! D8
