Mizuki had all but ignored anything and everything that was said to him even when it came from Thalion. No instead it he played it off as his blank moments even though he heard everything that went on around him. To Mizuki there was nothing to say. Not when one felt as though they couldnt do anything so what was the point in trying?

This thought continued on as he was left alone in the room. The night went on and still Mizuki was alone. Now he was sitting in the windowsill looking out side at the moon. There was so many things that he wanted to do to help but none of them were allowed it would seem.

Mizuki sighed to himself as he brought his knees to his chest before resting his head on them as he looked out the window. His mind was on what Thalion had said...was he really going to kill shimself if he tried to fight?

He continued listening to the conversation gathering whatever details from it. Sure he didn't want Mizuki to fight t to tell him to not to wasn't fair either. But if this tome and whatever else this place seemed to hide was real then it would help Mizuki's magic out a great deal Besides that he needed some way to get back onto talking terms with the other.

He knew that Mizuki was ignoring everyone, even poor Neimi. Neimi had tried everything till she finally gave up. Though he refused to teach Mizuki melee combat for now that didn't mean that he couldn't try to encourage him to further his magic. Really thinking on it a little it might be a good idea for the group as a whole to gather information on weapons and armor before they rushed into the final boss.

Every town he heard some new tale of a group being destroyed or whatever other ungodly tails that were being spread of this unknown creature. So to rush in without knowing more or being well or over prepared might be a bad idea. Besides that from what he knew of games didn't the groups normally have to go through some gear collecting or item collecting process anyway? Even if this was the world they were living in it still seemed to hold a number of game rules.

Getting up finally he said he was going to check on Miuzki. Going to the room the other was staying in he knocked and waited getting no answer as he expected. Going into the room Mizuki seemed to be almost sitting in the same spot he had left him in. After waiting a few moments of getting no response at all he started to get annoyed.

Sure what he said might have been a bit harsh but damn it it was true. There was no way they could fully protect Mizuki if he blanked out in the middle of a fight and was in melee range. It was safer for him to be casting spells. "So your just going to ignore the world for forever is that it? I know damn well when your not actually going through one of those phases."

Mizuki was sitting there thinking about what he usually did. He was humming lightly to himself as he did but the moment the knock came to the door he stopped. Mizuki was still sulking to himself was he said nothing even as the door opened and Thalion walked inside the room.

It was not until Thalion said what he did that made him turn his head and look at him. Mizuki knew a fair amount about Thalion. You could hit the male all you wanted but in the end it was words and taunts that got the better of him. So thats What Mizuki did he replied with a smart comment "Why should I?" He asked "Its not like im usefull" He said with a little growl but to Mizuki it was true.

"Even you said so yourself" Mizuki said though when Thalion said he didnt say that Mizuki growled a little with his ears dipping back "You might as well have...saying i cant handle myself that I will get killed" He said in a hiss though it turned to a huff as he stood "But your right...I am useless" Mizuki said with a shrug of his shoulders.

Well he was hardly expecting Mizuki to say anything really, it had been a few days when the other last spoke to anyone other then maybe Luna and that was rare even. "Why should you? What the hell is your problem, is it really that bad that I care enough to not want you on the front of a battle?" He huffed a little. Yep words got the better of him, it was probably that quick temper that made it so easy.

"I never said you were worthless, none of us did yet you refusing to speak to anyone. I know you can handle yourself, I've seen it. But the way your acting its wrong to care enough to not take the chance of you getting killed." Was it wrong hell they had no idea what happened if you were killed. You might be forced back to the other world or you might actually be dead.

"Damn it Mizuki your not useless, thats not what I meant by what I said." He just didn't want to lose him, he had already once nearly twice. If he really did lose him because he gave in to the others wish to know how to melee fight he'd never be able to live that down. "Forgive me for caring, all that stuff we've been talking about and you suddenly fault me for caring."

Mizuki growled at that "Oh so its you caring huh" He said looking to him "Such a great time for you to start" He said in a growl "I want to fight I want to do my part and here you are all but standing in my way!" He screamed and took some steps forward closer to Thalion "If you cared you would help me do what I want to do..." Mizuki said in a huff.

Turning his head for a moment he bawled his fists "No...I hardly think you care" He said "Magic can only get me so far and I know you know that...besides that I cant just sit at the back and watch as you fight the front line" Mizuki growled as he turned back to Thalion "Your just asking me to sit back and watch!" He yelled again.

A great time to start? What the heck was that he had cared before, he wasn't just starting because of whatever was wrong with Mizuki. But no matter what he said it seemed that Mizuki was just going to say he was in the way or holding him back or telling him to do nothing. Though now it was if he cared he would help him do what he wanted to do.

Helping him do just that would get him killed if something went wrong. He couldn't protect him if he suddenly stopped mid fight. There would be no way, not without getting himself probably killed in the process. Yet Mizuki seemed convinced that Thalion didn't care. This was probably what tipped it just far enough over the edge to cause that flare of temper to come forth.

Grabbing Mizuki he slammed his back against the wall before holding him there. "No your right I don't care Mizuki. I just nearly got myself killed trying to save you from that raid. I nearly killed myself trying to get you somewhere where you would be safe or could recover." He growled still holding the other against the wall, even more so as he tried to struggle and get away.

"I know magic can only get you so far.. I know this but damn it I'm not asking you to sit back and watch." He still kept the other against the wall as Mizuki seemed to start to say something else but Thalion did know of a way to shut him up before he accused him of anything else.

Kissing him suddenly and holding it for a moment till he was sure that the other would be quite a moment. "I love you Mizuki, I can't lose you again... I'd never be able to live with myself if something happened to you and it was my fault for teaching you. I've already lost you once almost twice as it is."

Mizuki was winded the moment his back hit that wall. Taking a moment to gain his breath he stayed as he was. Then he started to struggle. He didnt want to hear what Thalion had to say. No he knew that he was mjust going to counter everything he did say.

When Thalion began to speak again however Mizuki wanted to laugh. Here he was saying that he was not telling him to stay back "Oh yeah right!" Was his retort as he struggled more angry then before.. Just as he was about to say something to Thalion he was cut off by a pair of lips on his own.

It was a little kiss but the fact that it even happened was enough to stop his struggles. That combined with Thalions words made his struggles all but stop as he looked at Thalion "You wont loose me...as long as your with me im with you" He said.

After that there was a little silence as Thalion slacked his grip on Mizuki a little. This was his chance so Mizuki moved his arms and grabbed Thalions face with soft white hands. Bringing the males head in he kissed him once on his lips before he did it again then again. They started out as soft kisses and pecks but turned into one long harsh and passion filled kiss.

Mizuki pressed his chest into that of Thalions as he held the male in place before him. Breaking off for a gasp of air he didnt stop as he leaned in again and kissed him again just the same as the last had ended.

His ears went back listening to the other saying he wouldn't lose him. Though he didn't get the chance to question if that was enough or not. Just them being together didn't mean anything. Either of them could be killed it wasn't like they were immortal or anything. Though the thought was pushed aside as Mizuki placed his hands on his face and pulled him forward again.

Though it seemed that the other wasn't going to stop with just one kiss no he hardly was letting either of them breath as he continued. There was only a slight pause because they did have to breath before Mizuki seemed to go right back to what he was doing.

Finally Thalion had to break the kissing as he rested his head against Mizuki's shoulder still trying to recover his breath. "This isn't-" He started between a pant. "Where I thought this conversation was going." Not to say he minded either, no he hardly minded as he moved a little to kiss Mizuki's neck before biting his earlobe lightly.

He wasn't sure what made him do that but he didn't hardly care. Least for the moment he could breath though he wasn't sure he minded not being able to do that a moment ago either.

Mizuki growled lightly before the male pulled back. His breathing was heavy and his eyes were closed as Thalion rested his head on his shoulder. Yes it was true this is not where Mizuki thought this was going either but he could complain anyways "Yeah...I know" He said lightly "I thought it...was going the-" Though he stopped with a little gasp as his ear was bitten.

Mizuki moved his arms now down to rest around a strong neck as he growled a little. Bringing his leg up he brushed it against Thalions hip as he curled a bare foot into the back of the males leg. "Are you complaining" He asked lightly "Did you want to stop?" He asked before he leaned over a little and bit the tip of Thalions ear.

He figured that Mizuki was just going to tease again or that he wasn't recovered enough to go on for too long so the idea never really crossed his mind if it was his choice to stop or not. To tell the truth he didn't want to stop.

Having Mizuki close like this, both of them probably a bit caught up in the moment but still. no he didn't want to stop as the other asked. "No I-" Though he stopped before he could finish his sentence as Mizuki bit the tip of his ear. That was a new sensation to say the least. Right away he knew he had given away what a weakness that seemed to be as he had to bite his lip to keep from actually giving in to letting any noise out.

"Are you sure your ok?" Mizuki was still recovering a little plus with how he had been acting the past few days. He wasn't sure if he should let this go on but he almost couldn't think of forcing this to stop either.

Mizuki smiled. So it would seem that Thalions ears was the place to go was it? He would have to remember that for later. Though as Thalion spoke he thought for a moment. Was he sure he wanted to continue and that he was okay to do so... in truth he was tired and sore but he did want this and he didnt want it to end.

Leaning in a little he licked the outer shell of Thalions ear before he whispered "As long as you love me...I will always be okay" He said before kissing the lobe. From there is wa sure movements from both of them.

Later they laid on the bed both breathing heavy but covered with a blanket. Mizuki didnt regret what happened he was happy that it had. Curling into a strong chest he breathed deep "I love you" He said "With everything I am" Mizuki said in a tired tone before he nuzzled his head in under the males neck.

Even after the fact he hardly believed what had happened. He half thought he was going to wake up at any moment and still be in a fight with Mizuki. Though when the other moved against him and spoke he was pretty sure this was real. Smiling a little as he moved to put a arm around the other to keep him close before speaking. "And I love you... that'll never change." Though with that after the other seemed to nuzzle into him more Mizuki seemed to go right to sleep.

Morning came though he wouldn't say quickly. Though after everything that had been going on last night was the best he had slept in a while. Stretching a little he stopped only after noticing Mizuki was still curled up against him. Though whatever energy he had fed off of last night seemed to settle by now as he blushed remembering he had no clothes on. He had stayed this way the whole night?!

Seeing as Mizuki didn't seem to stir too much he shifted just enough to be comfortable again. It seemed almost a shame that he'd have to wake the other. That or Luna would. She had a bad habit of barging in on Mizuki. Especially as of late where he had stopped talking to everyone.

Kissing the others forehead lightly before he moved to look at him with his eyes closed still. It half made him forget that he wanted to all by dart off and get dressed. Though at the moment it was worth it just seeing the other content instead of brooding.

After the events that took place sleep came easy to Mizuki and it was dreamless. Even as the sun rose Mizuki slept. He had slept the hardest he had in a long time and his body was trying everything it could to not wake up. It was not until the simple brush of lips on his forehead that his mind let his body wake.


Slowly his breathing became deeper before he gave a light groan and moved his head deeper into the dark chest it rested on. The light soon became apparent but Mizuki didnt want to have anything to do with it. Slowly though he turned his head back and blinked open lavender eyes. With eyes half open he moved his head and looked into the fully awake eyes of Thalion above him.

How long had the male been awake? Not only that but how long was he what Thalion looked at? Mizuki didnt know and nor did he care. All he thought about was he would love to wake to this male every morning.

"Good morning..." He said in a tired just there voice before he moved and placed a kiss under the males chin. From there he gave a little groan as he moved the blankets from himself before moving to sit at the edge of the bed. Stretching he gave a little hiss. He was sore as all hell.

Standing he didnt care that he was completely unclothed as he walked to the bathroom. Moments later he came back out to a fully dressedx Thalion and he frowned a little "Awe...I was hoping for a show" He said with a little pout as he crossed his arms. Mizuki himself had his pants on but his hair was down cascading over his shoulder and down his chest as he tilted his head to look at Thalion.

"Well actually its more of the afternoon but I'll let it slide this time." He was rather surprised Mizuki didn't wake up the few times he was guessing Luna tried to bother the room. Though he had fixed that by locking the door some time before they got too far from the wall. She was going to demand answers for that one knowing her.

After a few moments Mizuki seemed to sit up and stretch, probably trying to wake up still. To be honest Thalion had been awake for maybe a hour or so. But he couldn't bring himself to wake the other. Still probably getting over the fact of what took place last night and that for once it wasn't some dream from allowing his mind to wander that far.

Though after Mizuki got up and walked into the other room was when he stole his chance to get his clothes on. He had no real reason to hate showing skin really, except maybe to save questions on where scars came from but aside from that it wasn't like he had anything to hide. Even in the summer time he was known to wear a long sleeve shirt, though given where he grew up maybe that was just from habit.

"A show huh?" He heard Mizuki pout as he walked out of the bathroom. "I'll work on that for next time. Well if there is a next time." He said before walking towards the door and unlocking it probably giving Mizuki a hint that a certain dragonkin was going to be livid. "Besides I'm hardly show worthy material, that or the sun has done more damage to your eyes then good."

Mizuki huffed at that as he walked over to Thalion "You are so show worthy" He said before he tilted his head and looked at him "Your beautiful to me Thalion...and one day I make you believe it" He said before leaning in and kissing the male softly before backing up and going to get dressed.

"And what do you mean by if?" Mizuki asked as he looked to Thalion now fully dressed in his robes. Sitting on the end of the bed Mizuki began to go through his hair and soon began to braid it "I mean..." Mizuki said though paused "There will be a next time...right?" He asked Thalion though the male didnt get to answer as the door opened.

Mizuki sighed looking at a glaring pissed off Luna "You know how to knock right?" Mizuki asked her with a little glar but the female crossed her arms "Yes and you know that your still recovering and shouldnt be doing such things with the drow?" She asked in a growl. Luna wasnt stupid. She had tried through out the night to get to see Mizuki but every time the door was locked. Not only that but she could smell it in the room. Thats one thing she hated about being a dragonkin.

"It should not concern you" He said as he finished his braid and stood "Yes it does concern me" She said with a glare but Mizuki matched it with one of his own "How do you figure?" He asked taking a step towards the female. Mizuki and Luna were like brother and sister and they fought like it as well. Though it was a scary seen when both glares could make ice shiver. "Remember how we met Mizuki?" Luna asked with a tilt of her head and Mizukis glare grew colder if it could.

Bawled fists at his sides misted as his natrual defense kicked in and ice began to form on his hands. Mizuki was pissed "You promised" He said in a low angry tone trying not to yell. Luna bent over a little and looked at him "So did you...or have you forgotten and need a reminder?" She said with a tilt of her head. "That does not give you the right to decide my future for the rest of my life" He said not backing down.

This was when Luna stood tall. Closing her eyes she turned around and went to leave the room though she paused to speak "Think about this Mizuki the next time this piece of shit hurts you" She said glaring at Thalion on her way out. Dragon kin were knowen to hold strong grudges and for decades.

He half laughed a little listening to Mizuki. "Maybe someday." It did make the other thought come back if things were better just staying this way. If things went back to normal what would happen? Though he didn't want to ruin the mood today seemed to be in by having such doubting questions and concerns.

He was about to open his mouth to answer Mizuki when Luna all but barged into the room. Her temper already apparent from the scowl she gave walking a few steps past Thalion as she started to address Mizuki. He had a name damn it and she knew it. He was half tempted to start calling her a lizard if she wanted to keep using what race he was as a insult.

Watching the two he knew something else was going on here, probably something he wasn't going to get out of Mizuki if the other didn't wish to say it but either way they were both ticked. Though to be honest he didn't know what was going on between them two. How could he? Mizuki didn't really speak too much of what he had been through during the eight years other then the homeless part and meeting Luna. Details were skipped.

Though her mentioning how they met seemed to piss Mizuki off all the more. Though she hardly seemed done there as she kept her glare and said some final words to him before switching her glare towards Thalion and leaving the room. With that final bit Thalion's ears went back a little to prove he was annoyed to say the least.

"Take it i'm not getting answers about what that was about... " He knew he wasn't by how Mizuki was still, it was a waste of breath to pester the other to get information he did not wish to share. "fine.." He finally said breathing out a little before leaning against the wall to keep himself from walking after that damned woman and giving her his five cents on things. Not that it would do any good but one day he swore he was going to have to fight her if this kept up.

"Tsk..." Was all he said as he went over a few of his own thoughts, did she have to bring up the past? He had paid for his mistakes back then, some in blood even. Just as Mizuki didn't talk about the eight years he was missing Thalion never really gave details on everything he had gone through trying to locate the other. But it seemed that past would always be there to nag at him, let alone it didn't help that Luna seemed to hate him no matter what he tried to do.

Finally he gave up on trying to think about it, he needed to accept that things weren't going to be easy and that was final. "Oh.. I heard some news yesterday I never got to tell you." This went on to him explaining about the tomb and where it was suppose to be. "Though it seems whatever trials or beast is guarding the place has been taking care of groups almost as easily as the end boss." Sure it was changing the subject but he didn't want to ruin today just because of some past secrets.

No Mizuki didnt want to talk about it. It was something that haunted his past and it seems now his future. Mizuki shook his head after she left and took a deep breath "Its nothing" He said lightly sighing "Luna just cant handle the fact that shes not number one in my life right now" Mizuki said rubbing his forehead. Such a good morning and it was all but gone now.

After that Thalion told him about the tomb and how it was said to help users for the end boss though no one could seem to get it. Mizuki tilted his head "So...a tomb huh...I wonder what spells it holds" He said with a wonder in his voice "We have to go and get it" Mizuki said looking at Thalion. "If you dont want me fighting" He thought he would add to the end.

Mizuki knew that from the stories that were being told it was an A class monster that guarded its treasure. There would be alot of fighting and he that Thalion would have no part of him doing so but the final boss would be more of a challange then this one. So it was one or the other and he was sure Thalion got the hint.

Nothing his foot, was the first thing he thought. But he let it go for now. No point in bothering him about it. Maybe the other would tell him one day. Or not, maybe it didn't matter? Though something told him it did matter and that bothered him a little that Mizuki didn't want to tell him.

Either way he dropped the other topic as he nodded a bit. "That was the plan, besides that if we failed to this we would have to the boss for sure." It would be a good challenge. "Also there are rumors of the place holding other items but no ones made it that far." He said shrugging a little. Who knew it might take care of Mizuki's worries about magic only going so far.

I already told Felix about the idea, he was all for it." Though he wasn't sure if Luna would be or not, it was his idea after all so she would disagree just to not agree with him. "Besides it'll be a good idea to see how well we do in a area that is known to be difficult. All the other fights have been too easy for our group."

"Then its settled" Mizuki said with a smile "We are going there and getting this tomb weather you guys like it or not" He said crossing his arms and sticking his tongue out at Thalion. After that moment they gathered what was needed and they headed out insearch of this tomb.

It took a while for them to find it traveling everyday and almost never resting. Now it was almost three weeks later and they stood infront of an old beaten down temple. Pillars were on the ground leading to it as vines cracked the stone.

Mizuki looked over to Thalion "Well...this is the moment" He said to him with a smile before he gripped his staff tightly and turned back to the entrance. With simple steps he walked towards it and soon dissapeared into the darkness.

It did take a bit of time for the group to locate this death trap. Or that's what most called it or a suicide quest. Not that this stopped they from seeking out the place. The point was that if they failed here then they would have on the last boss. So this was more of a way to prove that they could even stand a chance against the final trial.

After a few weeks they finally found themselves in front of a old temple. Overgrown and forgotten. This was where their quest lead them. Right away it was easy to tell this place was different. The area had been surrounded by higher ranked creatures so of course they were expecting some high ranked beast inside or maybe a mini boss.

After Mizuki spoke and started to walk Thalion shrugged a little before following. Might as well seeing as there was no changing the others mind by now. Felix laughed a little seeing Neimi shake her head, she thought this was a bad idea. "to our deaths then comrades!" Glancing back at the other Thalion almost rolled his eyes. "Thanks for the supportive speech back there... "

The only odd thing was that thee seemed to be lit torches every so often throughout the place. Aside from that a number of traps hat were already activated or set off from previous groups. Aside from that the group seemed to only encounter a few mobs that seemed to be within the temple. Though nothing that would warrant this place as being labeled deadly. Yet..

"Ok I have to say it because I'm bored to tears in this place... what was so hard about this temple?" Felix looked at Thalion before shrugging a bit. "I'm not sure but you just jinxed whatever luck we had." "your welcome." Was the smart reply, though he didn't really think speaking of such things jinxed people.

Mizuki all but ignored the banter between the others as he headed through the tunnels of the temple. Luna stayed with him as he walked through. It bothered him, there was something that was off about this place it seemed to easy. Noticing the marks on the walls and how the floor bended and buckled Mizuki began to think of knowing what the beast was. Though he didnt want to make any guesses.

From all the stories that were around it could be anything from a dog to a dragon. Nothing made sence. This was when Mizuki stopped as his hair on the back of his neck stood on end. There was something really wrong about this place. "Whats wrong?" He heard to his right and he looked to Luna "This place is covered in sadness and regret" He said in a little whisper.

As soon as he finished speaking there was a rumble in the halls causing the ground to shake and dust fell from cracks in the roof. Looking to Thalion Mizuki gulped a little "Well...shall we" He said before turning the corner and walking again. Another winding hall led to two large double stone doors.

Mizuki stopped and looked at everyone "Alright...remember the plan" He said "Neimi and myself will find high ground while the rest...do your best not to die" He said with a smile before turning back to the doors. Placing his hands on it he pushed them open and walked forward.

As he entered the room Mizuki stopped and looked around. Hay littered the floor and torches lit the room. Gold laid everywhere as well as old pots and pictures though there was one thing that made Mizuki stop. There in the middle of everything was a large throne. On the back of the chair bull heads stuck out one right and the other left with their horns curling and winding.

Mizuki took a moment then his eyes widened "Oh my god..." Mizuki said as he realized what the beast was. "Thalion the beast-" Though his words were cut off as a roar sounded out through the large room. It was the call of a bull "Its a minotuar!" He yelled before the best charged out of the darkness it was all the group could do to jump out of the way and scatter.

It was easy to tell this place was off compared to anywhere else they had been. Mizuki seemed on edge probably more in tune with this area having magic and all. Neimi seemed equally on edge but she stayed near the back of the group so her reactions weren't as noticeable.

Once the group had entered the room it didn't take long for whatever that had been causing all of the rumors of this place to let itself be known. As soon as Mizuki cried out what the beast was the group barely had enough time to avoid the attack.

"Felix get its attention already." Seeing as they didn't really have anyone as the so called tank class more or less it was normally worked between Felix and Thalion seeing as they worked better at it and normally this let Mizuki and Luna just attack as they pleased. Most of the time.

He barely got out of the way as a huge double headed axe slammed against the ground. "Close.." He breathed out before the creature seemed to turn its attention to Felix. Luckily the creature stayed far from Mizuki and Neimi so least they didn't have to worry about that for the time being.

Either way this thing seemed to be impossible to do damage to even with hitting it the beast never flinched or faltered in the least. Though this was probably a mini boss or something so it was probably made for a larger group then what they walked here in.

Mizuki dodged the blade and ran for the nearest place he could. Turning he looked at the beast as it attacked them left right and center. Thalion and Felix did what they could to the beast as well as Luna. Neimi stayed back ready with a healing spell.

Mizuki didnt know what to do. Nothing was coming to mind that would even dent the damage the beast had. By the way it acted towards the attack it was meant for a big group to take on. How could they be so stupid to try and kill something like this? Though Mizuki didnt have time to linger on such thoughts.

Watching Mizuki gasped as he saw the beast charge with his axe towards Felix though judging by the way the male looked he knew there was no time to escape. So that was his cue. Casting his spell he watched as ice formed on the ground right before the beast causing the unaware creature to charge but loose footing and slip landing down on large knees with a grunt.

This was when Felix took the change and drove his weapon into the beasts back causing the creature to yell out its pain. Next Luna came forth slashing a couple times at the crature with her nails before the beast stood again and roared. Yeah...it wouldnt be that easy.

Least as the fight dragged on they seemed to do some damage to the beast. Though that didn't halt the creature for long. Magic had little effect, their strikes had little effect. Yeah this would take a while and they would surely run out of energy long before this this thing wore itself out charging back and forth.

Luna was attacking the beast currently as Thalion noticed a few things on the ground near the walls. "How confident are you in saying I can fix anything?" Felix gave him a odd look before speaking and being ready to strike so Luna could back off again. "Pretty confident, why?" "Keep him busy for a moment." He said before leaving Felix to go attack the beast to cover Thalion and whatever idea he seemed to have.

There was a few things he had noticed under the hay scattered about and he was pretty sure they were spike traps. There was also a smashed up gear box off to the side. Though thinking this might work was probably a bit too much to hope for.

Either way he was pressed for time and he knew it. Great they were rusted too? Kicking the thing hardly made any of them move as he hissed at it a little. "Stupid.. " Though this was about the time the creature seemed to take notice of what he had been doing. He barely got out of the way as the best slammed the wall. Though the axe it was swinging slammed into the wall as well managing to catch the edge of his leg. That roll had barely saved him from any serious damage.

Though that slam against the wall made whatever he had been working on click into place where he had been trying to force the last piece. Though now maybe they had a larger problem on hand seeing as the beast couldn't get the weapon free form the wall and seemed more then willing to use its bare hands. Also being gored by its bull horns didn't seem like a promising idea either. Though with that trap fixed maybe they could lure it into place and have someone hit the lever that was luckily not near that box.

Mizuki stood there and watched as everything happened casting spells as needed. Mizuki watched as Thalion left the main fight and headed over to the contraption on the wall. What on earth was the male planning on doing? Though he didnt have enough time to really say anything before the beast charged and headed right for them. Though he was greatfull that the head of the beast landed in the wall besides in one of the others.

This was when the scent of blood reached his nose and Mizuki frowned. Who on earth got hurt? Though his question was answered the moment Thalion backed away. This was when he noticed the gash on the males leg and he hissed. Mizuki though didnt have enough time to think as he watched the beast turn towards Thalion again.

With no axe it was time for fists and horns. The beast charged and Mizuki didnt think twice as he cast his spell. Just as the best reached Thalion a lavender barrier covered the male who crouched on the floor deflecting the beasts attack and sending it stumbeling back. Mizuki didnt think twice as from one moment to the next he was down grabbing Thalion before quickly teleporting to a distance away from the beast.

"You tell me not to get killed yet this shit happens" He said looking down to Thalions leg "If I cant die neither can you" He said before casting a spell as his eyes never left the beast. He was breathing heavy and he was sweating. His energy was wearing thin and he knew it.

Great if he didn't get hit then he probably could have easily gotten away from the beast in time but that wound was probably worse then what he wanted to think it was. Though it seemed Mizuki had other plans then to let things play out as he assumed the barrier was from the other and his question was answered as soon as Mizuki seemed to teleport them both.

Scolding him right away even as Mizuki seemed to be running low on energy. "Scold me later and trust me for once." He growled a little shifting his weight off the leg that had the wound. Good news of Mizuki casting another spell was that he had ticked this creature off and it seemed to hold its attention to Mizuki as it righted itself and started to charge again.

The idea was that he could get to the lever to flip it and pray that the trap wasn't rusted enough to not work. If it worked that would be a good edge on this fight. Though now getting over to the lever would be painful and too slow to even bother trying. The beast halted it charge on Mizuki only to slam Felix into a wall along with Luna.

Mizuki was in no shape to cast another barrier strong enough to hold the beast back as Neimi flinched and slammed the end of her staff against the ground wincing a little as clear golden chains appeared around the beasts ankles and caused him to fall to the ground shaking the room a little from the impact.

Though it was already getting up as Thalion finally got the only idea he had to tripper the trap that the beast was perfectly over top of and anyone else was far enough away from. Pulling out a dagger he quickly flung it and prayed to whatever god was listening that it hit hard enough to do what he wanted. If not him and Mizuki both were as good as dead.

Luckily Thalion had good aim from being in sports most of his high school and part of his college career. The target seemed to be hit dead on as the lever seemed to shift but not enough at first as he almost was about to give up on it. "Oh fuck it." He finally said before extending his hand towards the lever and releasing a small fire blast towards it. So that was a gamble but its not like they had much else going for them. Whatever it did seemed to work and take care of the lever ever being turned off again at the same time as spikes shot up from the floor snaring the beast in place.

"Heh... the fact that worked..." He almost wanted to laugh. Though it was short lived as the creature finally spoke as it started to glow. "Enough!" It roared before forcing anyone near it back as it pulled itself from the spikes and stood back a little still glowing with a odd aura. Not only that but all the wounds seemed to be healing as well as it thy were nothing.

Felix winced as he tried to sit up from where he was, helping Luna a little in the process. "It spoke.. or am I losing it?" It did speak, that was odd if not impossible, let alone to heal like that this was not normal.

Mizuki was shocked that the plan worked let alone the fire bolt Thalion just gave us. That would be a conversation for later. Right now there was different things to do as the trap seemed to work and the beast fell to its knees. This was when Mizuki was sure the fight was going to take a turn in their favor but then the unexpected happened. The beast spoke.

"Enough!" Rang out through the room and Mizuki took a step back as he placed a hand on Thalions shoulder squeezing it a little bit. Watching as the monster stood and began to heal Mizuki cursed "Great...I swear if we have to restart I will-" "SILENCE!" Mizuki was cut off as the beast began to speak.

"You group of five have done what larger groups have failed at" The beast said standing to its full height. "With this I have faith" The creature spoke "Working as a team is something that most teams fail at" the beast said "So with this I give you these" He said before waving a large hand and before Mizuki a stone tomb appeared "Spells of the highest of levels for one that fears over the lowest of things" the beast said before turning to Thalion.

"And to you" He said as he waved a hand again and smiled as a sword appeared infront of Thalion "A blade to protect that that needs protecting" The beast said "With a glow of a light to shine in the darkest of moments" With that Mizuki watched as Thalion was a little shy at first but soon grabbed the blade. Removing the blade from its sheeth Mizuki was in awe.

A black blade was what met their eyes but that is not what caused Mizuki to stare. As the male held onto the blade a glow began to grow in the middle. It went up the blade and shone a bright red "The blade knows of one master and one only" The beast said "To serve and protect it will only glow and cut with your skill and magic" The beast said with a nod.

Mizuki was in awe over everything though he didnt have a chance to think as the beast spoke once more "Now onto the rest I leave riches and gold...but also a warning" This was when the beast grew dark "Your future is dark. With great loss comes great finding and your loss will be thre greatest" The beast said "Scales and illusion await what you are. Only the true of heart will see through the mist of denial" And with a flash of light the beast was gone.

Mizuki stopped and looked at Thalion. He didnt like what he heard. Great loss? That only brought one thing to Mizukis mind and that one thing was not a good thing. "What on the earth was that?" Mizuki asked with a frown though he glared as Luna piped in "That was a boss that we just beat" She said crossing her arms and he sighed. Same old Luna.

Sure he was listening to the creature speak but what did it mean loss? In a game where if you died you seemed to vanish or die for real the only loss he could think of was one of them dying. That worried him greatly seeing Mizuki's condition. Though he would not stand by and let that happen... not if he had a say in the matter anyway.

Though after the beast finished its warning it seemed to vanish as Mizuki asked what that was getting Luna's reply. "Beating it is defined by crippling?" They didn't really beat it or he didn't feel like they did. Felix quickly spoke up then with Neimi in agreement. "We're alive, count your blessings. That thing could have killed us after healing." well that was true...

Though by this time Mizuki seemed to already be reading the pages of the tomb. "Well I think we've lost someone... Lets get out of here before something else happens like some joke of the ruins coming down on our heads after winning." Though he hoped he was just kidding with that idea.

Though he was bothered a bit by this blade, it didn't feel .. what was the word normal. It was weighted fine, high grade materials and all but it felt off still. Like it demanded something from him just having it out and looking at it. but he didn't discover this till after they had gathered whatever they needed and exited the temple.

Oddly it word of this victory and the group that did it spread in the course of a night. Though they weren't sure how seeing as they had spent the night outside. Let alone they never told anyone. Well it couldn't be helped now could it? Though it was a long night seeing a Neimi was pestering Thal as she healed what she could with magic of that wound.

"Your lucky that wasn't deeper.." she told him as he tried to ignore her and the fact she was hardly being nice about this healing process. "it worked didn't it?" "Before or after you nearly got yourself killed?" She huffed knowing she was right and he'd never admit it.

"So what do you think it meant?" Felix finally spoke up To keep Neimi from going on about how reckless any of that fight had been. She would surely be on Mizuki next if left alone long enough. "Do I look like a master of riddles?" Was the smart reply from Thalion as Felix shrugged a little. "It was a hint towards the final goal, but I can't think of anything that matches such words." He avoided questioning about the loss the beast spoke of.

Though this provoked other questions. A blade for protecting that which needed to be protected, one that knew one master. With that and the hint of great loss Thalion was more then worried what such hidden meanings these words had. Though such thoughts of worry died as Neimi seemed finished with her healing before she slapped the wrapped wound.

"You move before that spell finished over the course of the night and your a dead man." Though what was scary she said it all with a smile. Walking over to be closer to the fire as she sat sighing a little. "I hate her.." He muttered a little under his breath as Felix laughed. "Least she's healing, I've seen a number of games where she wouldn't even do that for someone in the group doing something reckless."

Mizuki sat there as he stared into the fire. A loss...the only thing that rang through his mind was death...but he couldnt think that. The group to good and important. Not only that each member now got along not to mention knew each other on a good level..well minus two of them. Shaking his head Mizuki stood and walked over to where Thalion sat.

Mizuki moved and sat down beside the male and waited till Felix got up to leave before he said anything "So...glad that wound isent that bad" He said as he brought his knees up and rested his head on folded arms looking at Thalion "It could of been far worse then that" He said and smiled lightly as Thalion agreed.

After that night the group traveled again though it was a shock to them that even the first town word had reached it of them winning the battle in the death caves. It was interesting the rumers that were said about the battle even though none was there to witness.

Going through the town they grabbed supplies and left again. Even though Mizuki wanted to stay he needed to practice the tomb. With that came the fear of a spell going out of control and doing damage so it was decided to find a old house on the country side and with some magic love make it livable for a while.

It took some time to find what was needed but when they did it was perfect. The house was two layers and right beside a running stream and a broken down water wheel. With the wheel though meant running water and baths so Mizuki was more then okay with it. A spell and some magic later the house was in tip top shape.

"Finally!" Mizuki said with a sigh as the spell endedc and he all but sat down on the ground in a huff. The house had three rooms in it with a kitchen a bathroom and a living area. It was nice and quite. A perfect place to train Mizuki thought. "So...whos getting what rooms?" Mizuki said after a moment. This was when Luna spoke up "Well I see its fit the two ladies get the larger room!" She said before hooking her arm with Neimies and walking inside.

"Well then...that leaves two" Mizuki said with a sigh "I dont care who gets what all I know is that I am tired and sore and a bed would be great" He said with a groan as he stretched before standing with a grunt and cracking his back.

Word did spread and quickly of the groups victory. There was no clue as to where such rumors started or who started them but it was a bit late now to worry about it. The only good news was that it seemed to give the group some peace during their travels. Less player attacks save a few that were stupid or bold enough to try their luck.

It was decided that Mizuki had to learn the spells in that tomb before they bothered trying to take on the final boss. Probably a good idea seeing as Thalion almost used any excuse under the sun to avoid using the sword. Felix would swear that the blade drained his life force or something by how he avoided the weapon. It wasn't that it just felt different.

Though it was probably a good idea to figure out what the weapon could do or what made it so special. So far the only thing that Felix had figured out about it was the blade didn't glow at all if anyone else used it. Heck some times it didn't glow anyway.

Either way the group managed to find a house far enough out of the way that it should suite for training. As well as keep other players from bothering them. After it was fixed up the once run down house was even more of a find. Luck seemed to be something they had recently, though that would run out sooner or later.

This was when the rooms question came up as Luna seemed to drag Neimi off claiming the larger room. After Mizuki spoke Thalion already knew his excuse for a room. "I vote Felix gets his own then no one has to put up with his snoring." He smirked a little as Felix frowned. "Is it really that bad?" "Yes.. I should record you sometime... you asked once why I never took up your offer as room mates.. its cause I like sleeping without thinking the walls are going to crash in."

Besides that the other two rooms were small so it would be better size wise as far as room went. Also for obvious other reasons... of course Thalion wanted to be with Mizuki. After that battle with the creature he kept going through the words it had spoke of a great loss and all. What if they didn't ... no that wasn't any way to think. He quickly pushed that thought to the back of his mind.

It took no time before the group was settled. They might be here a while depending on how quickly Mizuki picked up the spells from the tomb. Also depending on how often they were bothered. Though they did make a point to make sure they were no followed to this location. If they were more lucky the sudden buzz of a group clearing the death caves or whatever would die down as well.

Mizuki smiled as Thalion gave Felix the excuse though it was a true one. Mizuki had heard the male snore around the camp fire some nights. At first he thought they were getting attacked by a creature though soon found out otherwise. But hey Mizuki wasnt going to complain he could use a night alone with Thalion even more so now with the beasts words ringing in his head.

After that everyone retreated for the night and in Mizukis mind it was about time. Mizuki reached the room first. It was the second biggest room in the house. A large bed with the bathroom attached through a locked door, a large window and a small fire place was greated as Mizuki enetered though thats not what he cared about.

The moment he was in the room he turned and looked at the door and waited for Thalion. He could hear the male saying something to Felix down the hall. After a moment or two he entered the room and as soon as the door was closed behind Thalion Mizuki had the male pinned into the door as he leaned in and kissed him "Its about time I got to do that" He said as he pulled back with a smile.

It was kind of odd really, the group of them had been spending so much time camping and far from any towns that the idea of a roof and someplace warm was odd. Let alone that they could relax a bit seeing as this wasn't a tavern or some inn that had drunks and cut throats.

Once it was well into the evening and everyone seemed to call it a night Thalion barely got into the room with the door shut as Mizuki pinned him against the door kissing him. "Well.. hello to you too." Though he stopped Mizuki from pulling back too far as he kissed the other in return.

"So just how long were you thinking about doing that?" He decided to tease Mizuki seeing as he was nearly tackled as he walked into the room. Not that he minded in the least. Though he had a feeling Mizuki was worried about the same thing or at least dwelling on the same thought as he was about what the Minotaur has said.

Mizuki smiled as he was pulled back into a kiss. He didnt complain why would he? Here he had the man he loved before him and there was no worrie at this moment besides hind thoughts. Mizukli growled a little though when the kiss did break and Thalion spoke. "Hmm...I did have plan for it to go all night" He said with a wiggle of his eye brows.

Though this is when he stepped away and headed for the bed. Sitting down he smiled "Though I dont think you would be up for it" He said with a little shrug of his shoulders. "Oh well though it would of been fun" He said with a smile as he stood and walked over to the little fire place.

Mizuki loved teasing Thalion when he had the chance and those chances lasted few and far between so he made the most of it when he could. He knew that Thalion would take the bait well at least he hoped the male would as he bent over and placed the wood in the fire place getting it ready for a fire.

"Oh did you now?" He questioned as Mizuki walked over towards the bed. Though it seemed the other had plans to not make it just that easy. That or Mizuki was teasing him. He had to admit he was never sure when the other was being serious or teasing anymore. Especially when they were with the others. Though this would get out sooner or later.

He watched him for a moment still leaning against the door before he finally moved to go over to where Mizuki was. After the other had started the fire Thalion grabbed him and pinned him against the floor before kissing his neck. "Oh I wouldn't would I? What makes you say that?" He questioned before biting Mizuki's neck lightly and working a small kiss on the other's ear.

"I've no idea why you would think I wouldn't." Though he somehow thought this was what Mizuki wanted anyway. Besides that they were both in good health, no one was recovering. The lingering thought this could be the last chances they got to be together even..

Mizuki gasped a little as he was turned and pushed into the floor. The kiss that fallowed made his eyes half close as he smiled lightly before growling a little "Oh I dont know" He said as Thalion asked why he thought that. He was about to make another comment but it ended on his lips as he felt the kisses to a pale neck fallowed the bite.

After he gained some breath he growled a little "Maybe I thought you cuoldnt handle the challenge" He said with a smile before he wiggled his hips a little. Leaning up slightly he kissed the male above him with lust and love before he moved his arms and wrapped them around the males neck with a smile.

Mizuki loved these moments even though they were small. It was something that made him believe that they were alive and together and that nothing was going to change that. But that was when the thought came from the beast that day. What if this was one of the last moments he spent with Thalion? No that was a thought he couldnt he have.

So instead he did what he wanted to do. He teased and kissed and bit the male before him with little groans ans pants as he did so. Pausing a moment Mizuki looked up into Thalions face and right into the males eyes. He could see the love and care there and it made him happy 'I love you..." He said "I hope you truely know that" Mizuki said before kissing dark lips again.

"Couldn't handle it? I'd think you were the one that couldn't handle it." Seeing as Mizuki had used quite a bit of energy repairing this place let alone the traveling to get here. "Are you trying to say I'm getting old?" Though he knew the other wasn't meaning it that way. By now he had caught on Mizuki was just teasing to begin with or maybe luring was a better word for this.

Though he enjoyed being with Mizuki like this he hated that it didn't happen nearly often enough. Though the thought of just coming out with this little relationship made his nerves die. That would take some working up to do. But one day he wouldn't mind being open about what they had... it'd probably make both of them happier really.

Though this was what Mizuki spoke and he stopped moving for a moment listening to the other. "I do... but don't say it like that." He shook his head a little thinking about it. "You say it like this is the last time you'll get to, everything will be fine." He seemed so sure of that. The way he said it and everything as he kissed the other a few times. "You should know me better..." He never was one to trust what others said or that fate was written in stone. He was the type to think that he could write his own fate. Maybe he was foolish in being this way.

Sure they could have moved to the bed but he hardly wanted to. Even after when he was laying there trying to regain what breath he needed to live holding Mizuki close to him he didn't want to move. After a moment he finally managed to say something as he kissed the others neck before whispering against it. "I love you .. and I'm not leaving you. And I'm not going to let anything take you from me.. I promise." A promise he might not be able to keep but he felt it needed to be made. He never broke his promises and he had no intention of breaking this one.

Mizuki closed his eyhes as he felt the kiss to his neck. A promise huh? Though Mizuki wondered if Thalion would be able to keep said promise to him. Right now though he didnt want to think about it as he curled into a dark chest. The two of them laid there until Mizuki couldnt do it anymore. Kissing Thalion he groaned "As much as I dont want to leave your side...this floor is killing me" He said sitting up and stretching cracking his back as he did and giving a little hiss. Yep...he was sore.

Moving to the bed he waited for Thalion. As the male joined him he curled into Thalions chest and with the blankets throwen over them he gave a yawn. Sleep then was easy to come even though his mind was troubled and hardly clear enough.

After that night the days all but blurred together as Mizuki began the spells in the tomb that they had gotten from the battle. Each day was the same thing spells after spells after spells. Mizuki needed no he wanted to learn everything that he could before the end boss.

So that is what he did and today was like any other day. Mizuki stood there panting with sweat dripping down his face as he looked at the water before him. The tomb had spells from dopelgangers to complete clones made of an element. Not to mention the get away spells. Though this was not the spell Mizuki wanted to learn the most. No. There was one that would cause the enemy to see and die by their greatest fear and it worked 99% of the time.

Panting Mizuki didnt know what he was doing wrong. For the entire day he did one of those spells. It was to create an exact vision of anything or anyone he wanted from the element of his choice. Since there was alot of water near Mizuki decided that was where he should start though he was starting to think he had picked the wrong element for every try it took the double lasted for seconds before it failed and fell apart causing Mizuki to sigh.

Everyday seemed to be the same thing over and over. The only time Thalion even remotely looked forward to was the evening hours. Seeings as they weren't out in the open he didn't have to go about any rounds taking up most of the night. Probably a good thing as the words of that beast still weighted heavily on his mind.

During the day Mizuki seemed to be off in his own world. Some times it was even a struggle to get him to break for lunch. Though Neimi normally got Luna to fetch him when that happened. But he was certainly working on the spells, maybe even over focusing on them. Hardly saying anything to anyone during the day till he was exhausted.

Neimi was keeping tabs on Felix and Thalion seeing as a few times one or the other of them would get tired of the foolishness that the other was doing. Though it was easy to say who got annoyed quicker. None the less this training never did help either of them figure out what the blade could do. No matter what it seemed to remain the same.

There was the idea it had limited uses or only would react in times of need but after a few close calls in training and scoldings after from Neimi, that seemed to be false as well. One of the days he did manage a barrier to form that seemed to be stronger then the magic cast ones but he had no idea what caused it or how to summon it again.

Though the days dragged on and sooner or later they would have to go face the boss. Each time they went into town for supplies it seems like they heard a new death toll from the creature slaying another group. Let alone larger groups. There was a hint of doubt about their foolish plan to go in there with five but they had proven against all other odds so it was a bit late to back down or rethink things now.

Panting as both himself and Felix had winded each other for the time being he was trying to figure out what the damn big deal was with this weapon. So far it could do that glow effect, though that seemed random when it happened or maybe that was feeding off his magic and he never noticed it. The only other thing besides the barrier was that when ever they tested someone else with he blade they could swing it but no matter what the blade refused to cut. Like the sharp edges were dulled over years of use or something.

The other real good thing that came out about this time for training was Luna finally gave in after a while and started working more as a group member. That would give them a better edge in the fight as well. Neimi had been working on protection and quick healing spells. Also trying to build her energy. Most fights they got by without her casting much. This time though she doubted it would be that easy.

Mizuki stood there and panted and he panted hard. There was to many things going through his mind at the moment. This was what he blaimed the spell not working on. Normally it took him one long day to master a spell within the tomb but this one just couldnt work. There was something that he was either doing wrong or something that he didnt understand about the spell.

Mizuki growled as he stood there facing the water. How could he not do this spell? What was so wrong that he couldnt do it? Shaking his head Mizuki stood up right and took a deep breath closing his eyes. Going over the spell in his head Mizuki once again began to cast it.

Standing there nothing happened well at least nothing that he heard. Opening his eyes Mizuki was shocked at what he saw before him. There standing no more then a couple feet from him was a complete double of himself. Mizuki tilted his head and so did the other. It was an almost mirror image of himself. Okay to say that was freaky would be an understement. Even as the spell was over the double stood.

Mizuki was thinking to himself and hardly noticed as Thalion walked up to the two. Mizukis mind was concintrated on what was happening before him not of the make that just walked over to him. It was not until Thalion said something that Mizuki even turned to look at him "Not perfected..." He said blanking for a moment before he shook his head "But its getting there" He said tiredly before casting an ice spell and sending a shard to the double him. Once conected the double fell back down as what it was. Water.

With that came a sigh from Mizuki as he also did the same and fell down landing on his ass in a sigh. He was panting and covered in sweat. It had been a day or more since he rested and it was starting to show. His skin was paler then normal if that could even happen and his headache could split a log of wood but he needed to keep going "Just a little break...then back to it" He said with a groan closing his eyes.

Not perfect, was there ever a perfect with Mizuki? Though when the other said he was just taking a break and then going back to it Thalion glared at him. "You need more then a break." Though Mizuki protested to the idea saying this was important.

"Yes its important but killing yourself before the fight won't help either." He was serious though even as Mizuki tried to protest he was fine. "Yeah your fine, you look like your about to fall over is all." He was worried he knew that Mizuki hadn't rested the other night, too focused on this spell.

But no matter what I say your not going to stop are you?" He sighed a little before stepping back a little. "Its not just your burden you know. We're a group remember?" The way Mizuki was training you'd think it was solely up to him to win the battle.
