Like fruitcake I won't try that...... |
Fruitcake is made of garbage D: Nothing in it is tasty to me.
Milk, egg yolks, rum, cream, sugar and spices. |
Raw egg :0
Some people cook them.
I can't get over the egg with sweet stuff ....my mind is pictureing a breakfast burrito with chocolate syrup and compareing the egg/sweet ratio
I think most store bought eggnogs don't have egg in them. But traditionally, it does.
My dad has an eggnog recipe and it's pretty good, but the raw egg thing bothers me, so I never make it. |
I don't eat raw stuff or rare bloody meat or thaw stuff out on the counter I got that whole bacteria salmonella you will get sick mentality
But Gizzie, cakes have egg in them? XD
You slowly heat it up so it doesn't solidify and keep it just below a simmer. Just like making lemon curd. |
Cakes get baked though, so the egg is cooked.
Likes COOKED EGG CAKE no curd -.-
Egg with sweet doesn't have to be weird. At my old school (ages ago) a latin class used to cook ancient Roman recipes near the end of the school year, and one of them was scrambled eggs with honey, raisins and walnuts. Sounds strange, but tastes surprisingly good.
Have you guys tried lemon curd? It's amazing, just sayin.
I haven't, but I want to.
Neither have I, but it sounds delicious.
Oh it's because I am intolerant and I was wondering about that milk xDDD
How come eggnog with no egg?? What a travesty. |
Ah. I'm sure almond milk would work for you. Lactose is found only in dairy milk, so no worries about that. And it tastes pretty good. I generally don't buy it just because it's too expensive for me. (Usually almost twice the cost of the same amount of dairy milk.
I prefer cashew to almond milk, but I also think almond milk is ecologically irresponsible.
what is there a shortage of almonds? D: nooooo
So the problem I have with almonds (and also Walnuts) is that in the United States they're primarily grown in California, which would be fine except Cali is basically in a constant state of drought. Almond trees require a LOT of water to produce decent quality almonds. There's a figure going around that says as much as 1 gallon of water is needed per nut for the tree to produce properly, but that isn't really a scientifically tested estimate.Regardless of the actual numbers, the truth is that they're really just not (in the US anyway) an ecologically friendly option.
Cashew trees aren't a whole lot better, but they are imported from places outside the US more often than almonds so they're not drawing resources from an already overtaxed drought prone area. Since you're not in the US this probably doesn't effect you at all, mdom lol |
oooh right xD
I mean probably our almonds are imported too, hopefully not from the US cashews are surely local!!! |
Groot needs rest of sitting body lol I'm sprouting extra parts lol
