"The swords I gave you are extreamely special to my family" she say her hand raising as she did so the swords would glow to harmonise with her "My first ancestor created that blade and each male who has carried it a little of there spirit is within the blade" she say gently lowering her hand, since I've looked after them for so long I guess part of me is in there too" she closed her eyes
She listened to what he said and chuckled quietly "I wasn't meaning in your facial features, I mean in your apperance as a whole and your attitude" she say contently, she felt at peace here, though hearing what he said about the other 'marked' she opened her eyes "If we where in an area without people, I could find out about them if you liked" she say gently 'If they are scattered father then perhaps...' she thought of how he could bring them to gether and start a tribe for them away from their former lives, but it also made her sad as she wouldn't have been able to go |
Yuu wondered if it contained anything from Ai, but he felt that it didn't. The energy the swords were giving off were positive, not the malicious sort. And he nodded with what Toshi had offered, "Yes, I would like that very much. I would like to know what became of the others."
|
"We can do that after we eat" she say gently, watching as cho came in with food them both. Watching as she placed the food on the table, then placed two plates, two cups and a teapot. bowing she left the room without another word
"it's an ancestral blade, Ai has never touched it... I made sure" she had a little heat in her voice as she spoke "He wasn't worthy of holding it, his heart was black as the void" she say gently, her hand clenching, but it released "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to" she say bowing her head |
"It's alright..I think most of the people I grew up with were like that, so at least I can understand the part where you're upset with Ai," he was a bit flattered and honored though since Toshi wouldn't let someone unworthy hold the blades, and she had given the blades to him to hold. Then he placed his hand on the table, with an audible thud to hopefully break Toshi's attention away from thinking too much about the issue with the blades, "Let's eat up!"
Yuu placed some food on his plate, but didn't start eating because he wanted Toshi to do it at the same time. Though he got into thinking about earlier, it suddenly started to bug him about the tune that Toshi was humming earlier. He almost thought he heard it from somewhere, but that would have been impossible since tengu and human societies had a clear separation and he never heard any music from the human side. |
was startled by the sudden thud "was that needed?" she say a little un-nearved her a little, though as he was about to touch the utensils to dish up his own food she took them and done both plates like when they had first met "She placed the chopsticks to the side of each plate and poured them both a cup of tea. Although she waited for him to take the first bite before she started "You seem distracted by something" she say gently "what is it?" she asked her voice showing curiousity
|
Yuu was a bit shocked that Toshi was doing the work. He had expected to start getting his own food as usual, and watched until Toshi had finished. He took his chopsticks and stopped when she asked the question, "It..really didn't get my attention before, but that tune you were making earlier sounded familiar. I think I heard it back at home before.."
|
listened to him and giggled "Really? My mother use to sing it to me to help me rest." she say gently, a deep sigh escaping her lips as she remembered her mother "She had magic, and was attracted to my father who was a lord but also felt nature as if it was part of him." it was almost as if she was remembering a fond memory
|
"..." the hair on the back of his neck went straight on end, thinking more about how a tune that he heard had managed to reach human ears, or vice versa. And suddenly he got more serious, placing his chopsticks down and trying to think about the situation more. "Did your mother have any sort of communication with the tengu? I'm sure our people used magic to prevent normal humans from wondering too close to our villages.. Or maybe a tengu visited her.. Or..this could go back further?" without Toshi's parents around, he thought it would be that much harder to figure this out, but one thing was certain: at some point, the tengu and human were around together long enough to learn about the song.
|
Toshi looked aat him as he began to ramble, and blinked confused as she tried to make sence of what was said to her "I wouldn't know... ask my father" placing down her chopsticks she looked to the sword "Father, The swords needs some answers, please help him understand" her voice was soft almost like a cloud
she watched as the image of her father appeared next to Yuu her face lit up instantly "Father" she say, she just wanted to jump over the table and hug him but she knew she couldn't they where both dead but diffrent types of it Ken'ichi bowed his head to them both "Ask your questions Yuu Kun but be quick" his voice showed peace through it's gentleness but also demanded respect at the same time, his eyes went to Toshi a warm smile came to his face, but he remained silent |
Yuu was again shocked. The surprises never seemed to cease while he was around Toshi, like a box filled with an unlimited amount of items. He bowed to be polite to the spirit, or what remained, of Toshi's father, "Toshi hummed a song that I had heard before in my village..a tengu village. Have you or Toshi's mother ever met any tengu?"
|
Ken'ichi looked at toshi "Leave daughter, this is a conversation between myself and Yuu Kun" his voice showed this wasn't a request but an order. toshi bowed low to them both awaiting the bows to be returned before leaving.
Waiting till his daughter left his amber eyes turned to look at Yuu "she came into contact with Tengu quite frequently... seeing as she was one" she say picking up a tea cup, he took a sip "She ran from the villiage, when it was attacked, I found her badly injured and took her to my home to help her recover... after so long we fell in love and wed" he, closed his eyes and smiled "She was..." he paused for a second "...a beautiful woman" |
Yuu's mind exploded. The thought of a tengu and a human getting together, two completely different species, and bearing a child seemed almost impossible to him. But he trusted the words of Toshi's father and Toshi was living evidence that it could happen. And it frightened him a little to know that Toshi's mother had the same background as he had. "I'm sure that she was, as Toshi is beautiful as well," Yuu blushed a bit, and looked aside to hide some of it, "It was very fortunate that she found you instead of meeting a tengu from another tribe."
((If Toshi wasn't a ghost, they could have beautiful crow babies together...and Toshi can teach Yuu how to scramble them >u>)) |
((toshi has physical phorm meaning it is plusable))
"She wasn't like you Yuu Kun... Not in the sence of being marked, she was a princess" he's say taking another sip of the tea "It was a time where the tribes where at war, she got hurt protecting a child and was left for dead... I found her, the forest alerted me to her and so I went" he say, a smile coming to his lips as Yuu spoke of his daughter "She looks like her mother, and has very keen sences better than mine or her mothers, and more sensitive to magic" he say letting out a sigh |
It was true, the way that he had seen his tribe use magic and interact with nature was much different than what Toshi had used. Toshi seemed to have a stronger and more personal bond to the things around her, and definitely several degrees more friendlier. His tribe invoked magic and nature's abilities through harsh orders or for reasons that intended harm on the target, rather than simple requests or things that would help others. He didn't believe all tribes were like that, and he was probably unfortunate to get born into one that was cruel and harsh. Though instead of inquiring about the culture of the tribe that Toshi's mother came from, he grew interested in the child that he had mentioned, "She was protecting a child? What happened to it?" And he also realized he probably didn't have much time, "And why are you hiding these words from Toshi?"
|
Chuckled the boy looked shocked by everything that had been said to him "Nothing around either side of Toshi's family is usual, and nothing around my daughter is as it seems" he say looking down into the tea "Tell me something Yuu Kun... within the Tengu race, what would happen to a half breed?" he say his voice calm as he spoke the sentance hoping he understood why he kept Toshi's linage a secret, why the house was protected the way it was
"She is one of a kind, look after her" he say gently, though then he went back and thought about the first question "The child was taken as a slave, my beloved wife was so hurt her magic failed and couldn't protect the child any longer... The female was the heir to her own clan... though the child was an enemy of my dear wife she was still a child and tried to protect her" a sad sigh came from his mouth. "I believe I have enough time for 3 more questions" he say gently |
((d00d! Liek...wat's ur fave flavor?!
roflmao x'DDDD)) He had a point. Tengu were definitely prideful enough to have slaughtered a half-breed. If he were raised as a normal one, he was certain he would have treated Toshi differently, but he wasn't raised like the rest and had more tolerance to the variety of different people he met or would encounter. Yuu understood that Toshi's father was able to see past the stereotype and see that Yuu was not like the rest. He nodded, gesturing that he knew what Toshi's father meant and also that he was willing to take care of Toshi, so long as she allowed it. "Now that I know about the mother's side...then what about your story?" Yuu stared into the eerie amber eyes with curiosity. Even amongst tengu, the color was something that wasn't natural in either their human or tengu states. He was certain that their human guises were right on line with actual human-likeness, so he figured that something was really awkward about him, beyond the physical appearance. |
Ken'ichi blinked hearing the boys question, that was one he hadn't expected "I am a spirit by nature, was born into a strong noble line of warriors" he say contently as he looked out the window "the reason why I said spirit by nature is unlike most humans we have a almost spiritual bond with nature, never taking from it unless we give something back in return" he say looking back to Yuu "I am Human, but it is because of the bond we have nature our eyes are amber, it is a gift from the world around my home" a sigh came from his lips "It was because of this I could see the beauty in my late wife, though she was in her Tengu form" his voice sounded sad as he spoke of Toshi's mother but of course why wouldn't it before her he never though of anyone in such a manner
|
Yuu thought for a second. He closed his eyes, now thinking about Ai being a half-breed ((almost spelled it half-bread x'DDDD.. mmm yummmyyy)), and why a half-breed couldn't at least bring out some of their tengu characteristics. He could remember that most young tengu would run around trying to fly with undeveloped wings, and he almost laughed at the thought of seeing Toshi with unfeathered wings, though he kept that too himself seeing as how the man before him was in a serious mood and seemed like he was lonely, "Isn't Toshi's mother able to come back, like you?"
|
Ken'ichi shook his head "It's not quite the same thing, my spirit is linked to the sword you wear as is normal for an ancestral daisho... your spirit will eventually link to it too" he say with a sigh "Beside's I'm not really back, I can come out now and then to give advice or answer a question or two" he chuckled "Ai... before you ask isn't of my blood or of Toshi's he was left on the doorstep one evening as a baby... We raised him as our own child... I know he isn't human but I am unsure of his race" he finished looking to Yuu for his final question
|
Yuu actually became very nervous at this time, he didn't know what type of question to bring up, though he was considering allowing Toshi to take the last one since it appeared as though she hadn't seen her father in a long time, and it probably would have been nice for her to get to talk with him before he left. Yuu bowed his head slightly, "Then I think Toshi should have this last one. I'm sure she would want to speak with you before you go."
|
Ken'ichi smiled at the idea of talking to his daughter but shook his head "By the time she would have entered the room I would be back into the sword" his voice showed it hurt him so but it also held the truth "I will leave you be now... Give my daughter my love" he say placing the cup down "And remember if you need anything answered anyone in the blade can answer it" with that he faded into a pale blue mist, the sword glowing for a moment giving a warm feeling before it vanished
Toshi would be sat in her own room in some what of a meditive state around her there was a white, pale blue and green aura |
Yuu was at least glad that he could summon up more people for answers to his questions, but now he was alone in the room with piles of food in front of him and neither he or Toshi had eaten any. He stood up and opened the door, hoping that Toshi would be right outside, but she wasn't. Yuu closed the door behind himself as he walked out, knowing he couldn't possibly tell Toshi what he had heard, and let out a sigh.
Toshi wouldn't be far off, at least he knew that for certain. Yuu walked back to his room, looked around, and then went in front of Toshi's room and could see something glowing, but not the usual room lighting. He knocked on the door, hoping she was inside and hoping that he wouldn't be disturbing anything important, "Toshi, are you in there?" |
opened her eyes as she heard the gentle tap at her door, the glow around her fading, in a single graceful movement she would be on her feet. Slowly and slightly unsteadily she made her way to the door, sliding the door open she nodded "Yes, I'm here... Remember while we are in public Fumiko is my name Hisoka sama" playfully she bowed "Shall we eat?" her hand went out to take his, but one thing he would notice was that her room was compleatly dark
|
More magic again, he figured as he looked into the dark room, though he wondered what exactly Toshi was conjuring in the room. If he were in his crow form he could at least see what oddities were left behind. Yuu blushed though, embarrassed that he had forgotten to use Toshi's new alias, "Sorry.." He blushed even more just thinking about Toshi being part tengu; it meant that they had even more similarities.
|
Walked with him back to the room where there food was, awaiting for him to sit down she would follow suit and sit oppisit him, she looked down and closed her eyes "Some of the other marked where killed by your clan in the hopes to appese what was coming after them... others fled to other clans in the hopes of safty and are been treated as bad as they were in your tribe... if not worse for being from another tribes lower class" her eyes glanced over at the empty cup for a second
"so where do you think we should head next?" she say her voice peppy as normal, as always she waited for Yuu to start eatting even before she looked at what was on her plate |
"I got lucky.." Yuu wasn't completely happy that he was the lucky one. The other survivors were still suffering while he was gradually moving on to the life of a normal person. Maybe even amongst the marked, he stood out by being different, otherwise he probably would have tried to get back the old lifestyle that he was used, to much like the others.
He began to eat a few bites out of his meal, and then he set his chopsticks aside for the time being, "I'm not familiar with any places in the human world..and you're probably in the same spot as I am.. I think the best we can do is to continue moving, further away from your home." He was taking measures to make it more difficult for Ai and Kaito to find them, and he hoped it would work in case the two did try to come after them. |
"I guess we both are" she smiled trying to convince herself and Yuu that they where both lucky, because in truth without him she would have continued her after life as she had for the last two hundred years "I still like the color of your eyes... they remind me of twilight..." she let out a sigh and looked to the celing "A reminder that even in the darkest hour there is always going to be light" her voice seemed distant as she spoke, almost as if she wasn't even in the room.
Shaking her head she looked back to Yuu a smile appearing on her face "Sorry, what was I saying?" she blushed through embaressment, through forgetting what she had just said, she took her chopsticks and looked to him as he spoke "The blind leading the blind... but you are right we should continue traveling... perhaps we can buy a map" she say eatting some of the rice from her plate, she knew in the morning it would be discovered that they had ran and likely, would have Kaito and Ai seeking after them "What do you think they will do to us if they catch us?" her voice sounded worried |
((actually, he doesn't have purple eyes in his human form. only tengu and crow. in human form he looks like a normal, but ragged and thin human hobo x'D))
"Horrible..horrible things.." Yuu spoke with a shaky voice. He could imagine all the things they could do to them if they were caught, and he flinched from imagining it happen right there and then. He picked up his chopsticks once again and started eating, trying not to imagine it too much, but instead starting to think about whether or not Toshi was curious about what her father had said or if she was just giving him respect by not asking about something that she had to leave for. He started to wonder if he should keep his lips sealed, since they weren't going to go anywhere near the tengu tribes..or at least he hoped they would avoid the territories. |
((she was talking about the tengu form lol))
"That's what I was afraid of" her voice slightly shaky as before, she looked down to her food "They won't kill us... Well I'm already bead but true dea..." she stopped mid sentance seeing the sword on Yuu's side glow "Sorry grand father, I won't think like that" she bowed low her voice showing nothing but respect, sitting up once more she looked to Yuu, and began eatting once more, of course she was curious, but what men said to one another was nothing for a woman to worry about after all if it was ment for her ears she would have been allowed to stay |
((x'DDDD Oh yues, the words of men...pr0n talk is important rofl x'D j/k j/k x'D))
Yuu looked astonished at the sword, then looked up at Toshi, "How many spirits are in this sword?" He could only imagine that it was at least two, but he didn't know how far back the relationship was with Toshi's family and nature. Maybe Toshi didn't know either. |
"there are twenty five of my relitives within the swords that you carry Yuu... All of them have diffrent temperments" she looked up at the celing once more "To protect the ones you love most make a bond between the weilder and the sword so even after you die you can forfil the promise" her voice showed she was thinking on this "I looked after the sword so long as a spirit it bonded to me... guess it didn't expect a girl to hold it" she giggled before eatting once more, the thought of having to look after so many men was a funny concept if they all got ill at the same time
|
"Promise?" Yuu took another bite out of his food. He noticed he was getting more skilled with the chopsticks, but still not on the same expert level as Toshi ((The Game >u>)). And...so many people in the sword seemed a little creepy for him, with a bunch of people who could watch him at the same time.
|
Nodded "Yes... I don't understand it fully, but it's like the spirits of the past still wanting to protect what they love and care about and thus part of them remains within the weapon..." she looked to the blades at Yuu's side as she paused "That's why they should never be drawn with the intent to harm only defend, unfortunatly sometimes to defend one must harm" she say picking up her tea cup "if Ai had them... he would use them if he was angry, I guess I feared for my afterlife if he got to mad at me" she sighed
"my ancestors do not watch... they are only energy within the sword, they take a humanoid form outside" she say picking up her cup looking at the rippling liquid, she found herself wondering if Yuu was trully happy with the gift she had given him |
Yuu sighed, looking down at the blades and admiring the details it had. But then he shook his head and looked up, "Eventually, I'll die.. And you will still be..well..existing. You'll take the weapons back and give them to another person, right?" He started eating again as if they hadn't talked about anything serious, "We'll be with each other until I drop dead, huh. ((omnomnom! x'D Yuu stuffing his face like a maniac and making weird eating noises hehee xP))"
|
"Even if you die you can be like me outside the sword... " she took a sip of her tea and sighed quickly "you would be the last person to hold them" she say gently before ratting a little more rice "Even if you did pass on the sword i wouldn't give them to another... a daisho isn't just given to anyone" her voice was showing she was quite serious on the matter "We will be with each other even after death Yuu... I promise" her voice seemed kind once more a licgh blush coming to her cheeks
|
((shall we haz some more characters and conflicts for spicy spiciness? xD))
|
((your post so if you wanna fast forward then sure))
|
((d00d...I will like to have a walking, talking cheeseburger *w*. Or...Toshi and Yuu get drunk xD. They'll run through the streets nekkidly <3))
|
((not right))
|
((Did I forget to mention the singing? It will be like a Disney musical x'D))
Yuu suddenly froze, sensing that something wasn't quite right. It was like a soft veil that was dropped on top, brushing softly against his skin. He never did learn how to be good at detecting things like the normal tengu, since it was important for them to know who was who especially since all the beings they dealt with had some level of shape changing. However, he figured that if someone of his skill level could feel it, Toshi most likely picked it up as well, "Do you feel that?" |
