The way he said it, it sounds like we'll be able to customize each piece of gear to make the outfits truly unique. Sounds utterly awesome.

Playing 4 online right now. Laying waste to some people, getting annihilated by others. About par for the course. People get really annoyed when I play Amy for 10 fights in a row.

I'm not really that good, probably about middle of the road. (Though I just made this Cassandra probably snap their controller in half, threw the first 2 matches then blitzed her with Amy for 3 near perfects in a row. :D).

If I could afford Xboxlive, I would get 5 for that so we could play, but I'll stick with my free console 'net, if you please. :p

I do tend to rely way too much on Amy's... I think it's 3ba, not sure about the lingo. It's her vertical launcher that goes into a low mixup. Very difficult to block, especially online. I guess it would be down-forward vertical, horizontal. Hard to describe. Anyway, I imagine it gets annoying after a while. She has some other nasty mixups, too.

Yeah, I wasn't aware I'd have to pay for xbox live LOL but oh well, cant' complain since I got the system for a song. And trust me, even middle of the road would kill me fast, I'm good at Edge and 2, but never really practice with 4.

Ah, okay, I'd probably beat you more often than not, then. At least with the people I use regularly (Amy, Sieg, and Mitsu, possibly Cervy and Zas as well.) I tend to focus on just a few characters, so I'm horrible with the rest of the cast.

Assuming Taki's hit list hasn't changed I could probably maim everyone with her...but as I noticed some switchups in Raphael and Amy between 3 and 4 I'll bet she's altered too. She was whom I played in edge and 2 majorily.

Taki's been replaced by Natsu, her apprentice (who is blonde...). She looks to play very similarly, though.

...how on earth did I go from utterly ruining anyone who crossed my path to losing over 40 fights in a row tonight? I just don't get it. All I know is I hate Tira, Talim, Yoshimitsu, and Setsuka.

Setsuka is one of those characters when it's hard to control or make a combo.

But when someone has mastered her... look out! It's almost beautiful to watch her take you apart.

I just have a hard time against characters I don't play as, since I never know what to expect. Especially characters who don't get used very often. Like, I can handle Kilik, Seong Mi-Na, and Yun-Seong since a lot of people use them, but Yoshimitsu? No way.

I actually am of the opinion that Yoshi is the best character in the game once you master him. He hits so hard, and his moves just come from nowhere, impossible to block.

I'll wait and see if Taki's replacement plays like her...I somehow doubt it.... I loose to everyone, but a well played Seigfried or Nightmare or my BF playing Voldo will kill me faster than aaaaaaaaanything.

Well, after practicing with Amy for an hour, I realized I'd forgotten half of her moveset since I stopped playing a few months ago... doing slightly better now.

Though, for some reason, my thumb just cannot pull off the 236 movement of the analog stick (moving it from the down position to the right position) that triggers a stance for some of Amy's best moves.

I will smile and nod now LOL I tend to mash the buttons and hope it does what I want it too...but now I want to put Edge in and play some oooooold Taki...I loved her older throws so much.

Throws are a weakness of mine... I always forget about them, both doing them, and responding to them. Though, it's always fun when you get into an awkward ducking match where you're both anticipating the other one going for a throw... then I stab them in the foot with Amy. :p

LMAO I looooooove doing throws, in fact, when I'm frustrated I'll just revert to them, and some are damn entertaining.

Does anyone have any idea what this rumor I hear about Siegfried and Hilde having a child who might be in SC5 is all about? Did one of their endings hint at anything I like that? I see a lot of people speculating about it, but I can't tell if it's just shipping or there's actually something there to support it.

I.....so don't recall anything in their endings...but...no, I just can't see it. I think it's the 'any pairing can happen if you want it too' sort of thoughts.

Well, we'll see. Maybe the guys over at 8wayrun know something we don't.

Okay, so I just fought a guy in ranked who had 658 wins, 5 losses. Now, no one is that good. Period. So, he must be a DC'er. So, he picked Mitsurugi. I was gonna pick Sieg, but I figured, he's probably at least decent to get that many wins, so I picked Amy instead. And wrecked him. And he didn't DC.

Who'd have thought?

Think I was really only the 6th person to beat him? :p

Well, that's thing, he wasn't very good. I've fought some good Mitsurugi's and he wasn't one of them. Hell, I'm a better Mitsu than he was, and I'm an Amy player. :p

well, yeah, he's been fighting his brother, or cat, or something, to get those wins...that's my theory and I'm stickin' to it.

Some new info from a recent interview, kind of interesting.

1. Rapahel isn't changed much for 4. This annoys me greatly.
2. Team Battle from 2 is very likely to be back. This makes me very happy.
3. Viola may receive significant changed before the release. I'd love it if they significantly changed her weapon to a rapier...
4. Leixia has longer reach and is faster than Xianghua was, but her damage is lower.
5. The game is completely done now and is undergoing balance testing and design tweaking in the months before the release. Sounds like it's going to be really polished.

Anyway, they're supposed to be announcing a lot of stuff this month, including a livestream of the new Create a Soul system. Can't wait to see that. I hope they release some more characters this month, too.

Also, I started replaying SC3 Chronicles of the Sword today... damn, that game is awesome. And I never really noticed how slow SC4 is. My SC3 Siegfried is unstoppable with me being used to him being a lumbering behemoth. No wonder Amy is so good in 4 -- she's the only one with any speed to her moves. :p

SC5 is supposed to be a lot faster than 4, and sure looks like it, so I'm not worried about that at all.

........but I don't want them to change Viola! Betcha they'll change her 'look' since it's so obvious a knock off of Amy's SC3 outfit...just to annoy me....

Oh, slight correction. Apparently the translation I watched was wrong, the game is only 60% finished. I did think it was kind of weird to call it 100% when they still have stuff to do.

And apparently they outsourced the single-player modes and the cutscenes to different companies this time (who specialize in such things, I gather), so they should be able to get it all done in time easily.

I love character creation and stuff, especially if it lets you do everything you want to.

That has to be the most in-depth character creator I've ever seen -- at least, one that anyone can use, which is obviously the point of such things.

Honestly, I'd pay $60 just for that on its own. :p
