i just got home (well, a little bit ago) from teaching a crochet class - finger crochet!

55 visits over here . . . 70 is a good day so *shrugs* 1 and a half hours until we close~

finger crochet is when you crochet with your finger instead of a crochet hook. it's good for the bulky thick yarns for scarves and things.

i might do better with my fingers! i sucked at the hook part

i was fair at the hook i would just pull too tight, i have no talet for gentle grasping

i'm not that bad with my finger, i just like the way it looks when i use the hook.

So. . . i got some jelly boots. They are very exciting and awesome!

There is no ventilation.

like none at all.

After 10 minutes of wearing them, there was condensation all up in there. . .

I do not find it absurd at all that old japanese folktales say to respect everything you own because everything has a spirit and they can get angry with you and harm you. They would fill cracked and broken bowls and stuff with gold or something for some reason and ahhh

actually the gold was a sign of beauty. the bowl, being old and damaged was beautiful and had it's own special charm. the gold was to repair it and bring it a new use but the gold itself was not as beautiful as the bowl itself. it's reflective of the general philosophy of a life live well and long XD
