That I totally agree... freaking chihuahua's everywhere. Those are my sisters. There is one that acts like a really dog, except for all the shivering - but other than that he's cool.

Quiet Man Cometh 03-01-2012 07:51 PM

Heh. We're curious about my brother's dog. He's supposed to be a pom-chi, and we can see the pom part, but he's bigger than either breed should be, and his parent was a short hair chihuahua. He looks a little more pom-papillion, but still kinda big. Could be a genetic fluke or maybe there was another daddy hanging around the neighbourhood. Not sure. My sister in law's friend owned the parents.

Fauxreal 03-01-2012 08:14 PM

Well - there is so much to dog breeding, parents, parents parents... It can get crazy! We have one chichi from purebreed parents, they won some kinda awards, I'm not sure of all the details - but I find she is a complete nut. Her siblings seem kind though.
But to be sure all the kids are loving - and these are the best alarm system ever.
In general though, I just love animals. I also have a talking parrot and he's a blast!

Quiet Man Cometh 03-01-2012 08:26 PM

Yeah. My brother's dog yaps at everything, though his voice isn't as high pitched as it could be, and he's learning..ever so slowly learning. It doesn't help that both poms and chis are yappers. (Dog show people lost our parking reservation at a large show in the USA and we got stuck being put in the back of the football field sized area for RV's, next to an RV with about 10 pomeranians. 8 am every day, Yap!Yap!Yap!Yap!Yap!Yap!Yap!Yap!) He's pretty much hard-wired to do it. I've heard it's the same with chi-weenies.

He barks when someone knocks at the door. He barks when he *sees* someone knock on the door, or the wall, or put their coffee cup down, or open a door inside the house. You can pinch his little mouth shut and he will still bark through his lips.

He's learning though. He shuts up when someone he knows arrive and if they don't make a big deal of arriving, and he knows me because I shout through the door for him to shut up.

I like my spaniels. Even tiny they still have something of a *woof* sound. The baying is cute too.

Aw, that sucks. D: But I'm glad you're finally getting a break from constantly working at it! >w<

Hopefully the assignment will be done soon. :]

Yeah, I want to trade some in...but I think it'll all have to wait till DK gets her lappy back. :'(

Quiet Man Cometh 03-01-2012 08:35 PM

*sigh* That's a clue for me to go check into Cat Paws isn't it?

And the assignment is due tonight so yes, it better be done soon! ;)

Fauxreal 03-01-2012 08:36 PM

I think I'm going to trade some event currency as well.

I've had chi's my whole life, my mom loves them. It's a 50/50 I find - with them being barkers. But when they do bark... they bark enough for several dogs. *ug*

Quiet Man Cometh 03-01-2012 08:39 PM

The funny thing is that he tries so hard not to bark because he knows we don't like it. He has his mouth shut and looks like he's trying so hard to keep it that way but the bark - more of a *mmurff* really, comes out anyway.

We're in the process of teaching him "inside voice" which I did with my spaniel. It gives the dog an outlet to vocalize but not so much that it drives the people nuts.

I'll check into cat paws in a few minutes guys. If you have trades, send them to cat paws and I'll work them out. :)

Quiet has access to Cat Paws and all the charity images for the paw logs and stuffs? owo
*never knew that* D:

I'm sure you and your partners will finish on time! >w<
How much more do you guys have left to do? :0

Quiet Man Cometh 03-01-2012 08:42 PM

Formatting and a few additional pages. But the formatting that's left is a pain. Well, for me it's a pain since I use Open Office, not Word. Things do get messed up in the cross over sometimes but not often. Unfortunately, this is one of those times.

Arikana 03-01-2012 08:46 PM

That doesn't sound too bad? Though the easiest way to fix it would be for you to get Microsoft Office. ;P

Quiet Man Cometh 03-01-2012 08:48 PM

Not paying for it. Money is tight enough as it is.

Arikana 03-01-2012 08:53 PM

Ah, true, true. I'd lend you mine to use...but mine is for Mac and I don't know what OS you use and I don't trust the post office system enough to mail it over and have it mailed back to me in good condition. >w>

Also: I have sent a trade with event stuffs to Cat Paws. :]

Agreed. I love Google Docs. <3
Best part is that it can be everywhere so long as an internet connection is around. And with technology these days, wifi is almost everywhere! :'D

Yeah, it can make .doc files. :]

And I agree, .docx files are useless. =w= I wonder why that extension was even created in the first place... >w>
