You can google what time zone you're in so you'll be able to figure out when the auctions or other events close in the future. It's handy to know for sure since on an international site there's always a bit of time confusion.

Sorry, I missed your post when replying. IIRC, it saves automatically. And you seem to be in EST, which is three hours ahead of PST. Basically, Chicago is the westernmost city of the EST zone.

I think the easiest option would be to vary the end date to give everyone a fair chance at one time. But then again it might also confuse people.
Me, I usually forget when exactly an auction ends, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the bidding war ^^ |
