anyone loves twilight series

Alexander Linden 09-23-2010 11:15 AM

I hate Twilight.

Rose Pearl 09-23-2010 11:16 AM

why do you have twilight

Alexander Linden 09-23-2010 11:17 AM

Because the writer is untalented? The relationship makes no sense, Bella is a Mary Sue, and Edward is creepy... >.<

He is not... but that depends in how you create the story and stuff.

I don't mind paler vampires that came from Europe since their was stories there and legend, but there are the Chinese one too and the north American one.. And the Egyptian one that are very dark.
There is a lot of different legend and not all of them are pale.

Taishi 09-23-2010 11:17 AM

Gah I'm lost again ~goes and crys in a corner~

Aiko 09-23-2010 11:17 AM

Actually the whole world have different kind of vampire myths
The African ones are rather grotesque, and the Asian ones aren't nice either

But well originally European vampires were blood drinking ghouls, with a stench of the grave they just came from =_=;

There's a Japanese legend as well.

Rose Pearl 09-23-2010 11:18 AM

why are you lost Taishi

DarkWolfrin 09-23-2010 11:21 AM

I am doing research on them since I have a couple of vampire in my novel.

I have my own idea over them as well.
But it is more shapeshifter oriented. I am lacking a couple of research on them.
Sadly there are not a lot of good stories around. I have the mythical stuff and legends, the most important, but I wanted to know what other people write on it.

Oh I just list a couple don't worry :D .

Anyhow... I could go on and on, on those subject XD.

EDIT:
I do not like twilight that much.. ¬¬

Vampire myths date back all the way to Mesopotamia...

Aiko 09-23-2010 11:22 AM

While we are on the darker subjects, does anyone here know any good horror movies that would actually do their job and scare me?

Dark: There's this really good book on the subject, I think it's called "The Vampire Hunter's Handbook"

DarkWolfrin 09-23-2010 11:24 AM

Japanese movies? XD
Not the American redo ones..
The actual movies.

When you go look an horror movie (not all of them) in Japan (or around that) some movies are coming with no assurance.
That means if you die during the movie you are not covert.

There is one creator that his movies are not covert I don't remember which one tho. I forgot.

Quarantine actually is a decent scary zombie movie, at least to me.

Alexander Linden 09-23-2010 11:25 AM

Aiko - That's a New Age book... it's not really that helpful.

Wolf - I was writing a novel with Linden... but then... Well the whole vampire thing got really popular and I lost interest.

Aiko 09-23-2010 11:26 AM

Dark: Already watched a couple of those ^_^ Which ones would you suggest?

Alexander: That depends if we are talking about the same book, since I just translated from the Danish title, and whoever wrote it seems to have researched a lot

Gozed: Sadly I don't care much for zombie movies. They're too unrealistic for me
