Okay, that one turned out pretty awesome!

I can't wait to get it cleaned up and put a protective coat on it and see it in shiny glory! xD But gotta wait a few days if not a week. It was done on glass so no air flow on the back of the painting so long total dry time.

This one I did days ago and am just getting to final touches (painting previously white sections of the side canvas black) then will try slapping down a clear coat in the next 2 days or so.

I was gonna varnish the red/black/yellow one I posted but got cold feet and did a different one (red/black/yellow also but not as amazing) and it's looking pretty nice but I am not sure what to do for the final coat. I thinned the varnish for the first 2 coats but I am sooo paranoid about brush strokes or cracking in the varnish, or the varnish drying too fast to work with that I am paralyzed in fear.

Afraid I can't offer any advice on your final coat/varnish. I don't know much about painting at all.

Does anyone else see a fire dragon in this painting I've color coded and outlined what I saw o.o the dragon is the black colors

Purple_ eye
Green_ wing part
Pink_ tail

@Gizzy: YES! It is my accidental dragon attack painting to me too. Even if I could control the design I doubt I could make as awesome a dragon painting as this if I tried! I mean some manipulation is possible and adding a form over the pour is possible but I can't do either very well so yeah. xD

Edit: Which reminds me, if I were to sell my paintings what would be a fair pricing plan? Obviously, as with everything, I need to take the cost of supplies and time into account but like.... art is hard to price ya'all. I mostly an interested in selling art to make room for more art cuz I can't just store them all in my garage. x nx

Not sure that I'm great at pricing, but if you can give me an approximate/estimated cost of supplies used per piece as well as sizing (assuming it varies) of your pieces, I can try to help...

@Kaderin: It is hard to estimate the material costs besides the canvas because I use so little of the paint on the sizes I have made so far. Like I use a little blop of paint but was it 1/100th of the tube? 1/10? I dunno! Same with the flow medium. It cost about 7 dollars for the bottle but how much of the bottle is going into each painting is a mystery to meee. Aaany way:

Reusable supplies:
A tube of paint is about $3.50-ish
The flow medium was $7 for the one quart bottle
Tap water for thinning is negligible

Single use supplies:
A dollar a piece for the glass I was using (not sure how big they are cuz I don't remember 5x7 at the largest maybe?)
1.55 for an 8x10 canvas board
80 cents for a 6x6 canvas board
1.60 a piece for the stretched canvas I got but they were crap so not sure about selling them.

@Mekatra: There are but I tend to get puddling with them since I suck at knowing how close or far to be from my painted surface cuz I am awful at everything.

The base of my hand, near my thumb looks maybe a little swollen and it feels pretty much the same as yesterday.

If it doesn't improve at all by tomorrow ( or maybe Monday/Tuesday ish), I'll have it actually checked.
