This isn't a problem if we're doing it on our free time, but I think for what's expected from trisphee it will be a bit overwhelming to the artists. So I think this would be more like something done out of the generosity of the artists rather than being a set requirement.

There is nothing wrong with saying you want more colors than what's already given.

In the end, it is up to the staff to decide whether or not it gets done. And currently I doubt that any recolors/additions will happen any time soon.

Maybe in the distant future they could release items that are updated/recolored versions of older items? Of course, again this is up to the artists. -shrug-

Maybe in the future they could do something like other sites I'm on do. Make something like dyes and have some items dyeable with certain dyes or make something like spells that make all DIs available in the color of the spell/whatever(second one just sounds too complicated and time consuming to be worth it in my opinion)

I liked the dyes. They were cheap to do, and reversible.

No, just one upgrade to the server itself. There's a lot of supporting code that will also be updated but that's not the real barrier.

Well, the thing is, from the plan we have (virtual private server) there's really only one upgrade, and that's to a real dedicated server. That's as big of a leap as the upgrade we already made from shared hosting to a VPS.

We don't have the dedicated server upgrade planned for quite a while. There's still a lot we can do with the setup we have now, and most of the performance issues we're seeing can be addressed in code. (The nightly lag burst at 4AM EST is an exception; the nightly backup HAS to bring the site down to work.)

Um... one, plus an intern that's still learning. Yes, we DO need more coders, but nobody's applying except one person that we can't hire due to time zone issues.
