@Death - it took us about 15 minutes from the time we got out of the car until we got back in... and only cost $5. (compare this to when my younger daughter's friend went to get her permit in the first place, also on a saturday, and was there 6 hours! o_O )

i'm pretty sure part of the reason was because i have friends coming over, and the one who takes the train was able to get the later train... had he taken the train that comes into the station near me at 3:35, we would still be at the DMV. since he's on the train that's coming in at 4:35.... well, i could have picked him up at 2:35! XD

I've been around my dad for 5 minutes and we're already fighting... I'm not looking forward to tomorrow :(

Thanks everyone for the kind words. The time spent with funeral stuff and the trip in general was pretty exhausting, but I think I got my emotions handled in the way I needed to. It felt good to be there for my dad, since it was his father who passed. And for my mother to help by being mostly emotionally stable.

Oh yeah, I know. I've gotten over the fact I can't have kids and just enjoy my friends' and siblings' stories instead :D

I'm really tired this morning x.x Felt like I had to rip my eyes open to wake up!! Winter is passed out on her blanket. It is pretty cute. Brady's grandparents are coming today to meet hte baby. I'm stressed because she is still in her nobody else can hold me phase, and I hate seeing the look of disappointment on people's faces when they try to hold her and she just screams.XP
