Panda 02-20-2011 01:46 PM

Awww, I guess you have to born to like it a lot? XD

Coda 02-20-2011 02:42 PM

Yeah, more or less. Like any discipline, to be really good you have to be passionate about it, and not everyone can be passionate about everything.

Panda 02-20-2011 02:44 PM

By the way, to be a coder in training do you have to already took some classes in real life or what?

Coda 02-20-2011 02:53 PM

You need to be proficient in programming already. The language you use isn't relevant because if you're a good engineer you can learn a new programming language pretty fast. Whether you're self-taught (like I was) or you've taken classes doesn't matter.

Taiki 02-20-2011 03:17 PM

I tried learning coding once, it just wasn't my thing. xD;

Chi 02-20-2011 04:00 PM

I'm learning to code, it's something I want.
I judge myself a little too harshly though when I mess up. x_x;

Panda 02-20-2011 04:54 PM

To me, I have no passion in coding so I will never be a coder.

Coda 02-20-2011 05:48 PM

Chi, if you need a little tutoring I'd be happy to help.

Demonskid 02-20-2011 05:52 PM

I cant code.. but if you show me a custom profile (like what gaia and MySpace uses) I could probably tweak it to my liking like I did on gaia and myspace =w=

Ashy 02-20-2011 05:56 PM

id apply but itd be another time zone issue thing sorry

Coda 02-20-2011 06:09 PM

You sure about that, Ashy? The fact that you're posting right now is a good sign.

Demonskid 02-20-2011 06:15 PM

Coda has a point =o
You are able to get on more the caz <3

Ashy 02-20-2011 06:16 PM

no i usually have uni at this time, im home sick ><

Demonskid 02-20-2011 06:17 PM

=( *hugs and gives ashy soup*

Ashy 02-20-2011 06:21 PM

not that kind of sick >< thats what i hate about working in customer service, i get whatever the customers have

Chi 02-20-2011 10:44 PM

Thank you, Coda. :3
Right now a few students have been asking me for help. xD;
I'll probably ask if I need help, thank you very much for the offer.

Duchess 02-20-2011 11:40 PM

I've only coded in Pascal and AS2 + 3 =P

And I'm still learning... like a week ago i learnt that arrays make the world a better place in Flash 8DDDD

My trouble is actually remembering stuff OTL.. but otherwise.. I love programming xDD It was going to be my fall back if this art thing doesnt work out ^^;;; I just like problem solving

Chi 02-21-2011 03:37 AM

I really got into coding my senior year of high school.
I found out I really liked it. :3

Duchess 02-21-2011 03:41 AM

I got into coding from wanting to make KiSS dress up game *nods* Then learnt some in school, etc.... It's really cool ^_^

Ashy 02-21-2011 03:42 AM

its a compulsory subject we had to take over here in grades 8-10

Chi 02-21-2011 03:43 AM

I'm kind of stuck if I magically lose interest.
I'm not really good at anything. D:
I may not be awesome at coding but I at least know what I'm doing most of the time. P:

You like coding little games or just in general?

@Ashy: Wow...
All we had was a typing class from grade 6-7.
Never mandatory coding.

That's exactly how it is here... replace "grade" with Forms 1-3 =B
We started with Html and webpages... then moved on to learning Pascal...

my O'Level SBA was to write a program for a company using Arrays and such and data storage methods *nods* I did sort of like a contact list combined with a date book.

I just like... coding... XDD

I'm sick with it. I LOVE reaching a problem or errors and i have to rack my brain to solve it.. and then i figure it out.. XDD It's like sex for me. OTL

Ashy 02-21-2011 04:02 AM

it was fairly easy, i learnt how to hack down a server with minimal effort :P

malicious coding ftw

Silverbleed 02-21-2011 02:06 PM

Interesting to see how this place basically end up as a hangout o_o;

Duchess 02-21-2011 02:07 PM

I thought that happened to every announcement ;O

Silverbleed 02-21-2011 03:01 PM

Possibly, but nobody ever posts when I'm on anyway so... xD I'm not there when it happens. I usually wake up with +50 pages.

Coda 02-21-2011 03:06 PM

I like your new sig, Silver!

Silverbleed 02-21-2011 03:10 PM

Aw thanks Coda <3
I should finish the sketchy sig tho. But I'm rather lazy

Taiki 02-21-2011 03:24 PM

I need one of those drafting tables. owo I only have a little plastic one you can put on desks/tables. D:

Duchess 02-21-2011 03:26 PM

i can't afford something like that ;~;

I can't even afford a chair... I do my art on my bed XDD

Taiki 02-21-2011 03:29 PM

@ Duchess, I used to do that. xD;

I know right? Pretty much most of the announcements end up becoming a hangout. Its the magic of trisphee I say.

Silverbleed 02-21-2011 03:37 PM

Honestly, I don't own such table myself. We use them at school, tho. But we have those things for paintings, I sometimes use those, or a big wooden plate.

Once I can, I will absolutely buy one. It's perfect to have such a table. But my wand is real xD And it's also that empty as in my sig, haha. Half of them fall on the floor and I barely put them back up unless I need it.

Taiki 02-21-2011 03:43 PM

My roommate when I was in college had one. O: It was huge! My college only had them in Interior Design classes so I never got to use one, but I love the little plastic one I have so I'm sure a big one would be even better! I'm thinking about getting one when I move out because I definitely don't have room for it right now. |D

I have pictures for inspiration taped all over my wall too. O:

Coda 02-21-2011 03:43 PM

Ginny owns one and hasn't used it in years. Right now it's got Fen's lizard's terrarium on it. She prefers working with a sketchpad or tablet in her lap.

Taiki 02-21-2011 03:46 PM

I can't draw stuff in my lap. xD; I used to draw with my tablet in my lap and things would look soooo sketchy so I prefer them being on a hard surface. Unless she has one of those tablets with the screen on it, then that'd make sense.

I just want a place to sketch that is away from my computer because I get too distracted by the internet. |D (my plastic drawing thing is next to my computer)

Silverbleed 02-21-2011 03:48 PM

My tablet is too small to be used in my lap. I have to put it on a desk.

We have those tables all over in our school. I'm really happy about that, they're the most comfortable to work with, when it comes to art. I want a lot of stuff for my art. Like a lightbox, so I can 'layer' my art and this table.

Taiki 02-21-2011 03:50 PM

You could always get a glass drafting table and just put a light under it. xD

What size tablet do you use Silver? I have a Wacom Graphire4 6x8.

Silverbleed 02-21-2011 03:52 PM

It's an A6 size.
Wacom Graphire 3 Classic, 6 years old.

Well for now I don't have a glass table... I'll ask dad tho, maybe he likes to be crafty xD

Taiki 02-21-2011 03:56 PM

Wow, you're the only other person I know that has a Graphire! *u* That's so awesome!! Mine is 4 years old.

And wow, that is small. xD; I think mine is the next size bigger.
