Hmm... I dunno. ~shrug~ I haven't watched sci-fi dramas yet. LoL

And I wanna learn German and Russian along with getting better at Japanese and now I'm starting to want to learn Korean as well.

See ya, Burlesque!

I actually took a shower tonight as well XD

@Azrael: There are some good ones, but that might just be me being a geek about it XD

I would like to learn Spanish, Japanese, and/or Chinese.

Azrael 07-20-2011 03:16 AM

I... actually don't like the sound of Chinese. Like... at all. x.x'

Azrael 07-20-2011 03:40 AM

Duce 07-20-2011 03:41 AM

Korean sounds so bootiful...

I wanna learn french, german, japanese, and korean. But I'm lazy, poor, and no where near any language arts programs. XP

Azrael 07-20-2011 03:44 AM

haha. replace Fench with Russian for me and we wanna learn the same languages. ~nod~
I'm broke, that's my only issue, otherwise I would take extra language classes for fun, but I can't afford fun language classes other than Japanese...

Azrael 07-20-2011 03:50 AM

Ugh I want someone new to RP wiiiith

Duce 07-20-2011 08:15 AM

if you live near a community campus you can ask if you can 'audit' a class. I don't believe it costs anything,b ut you also don't get credit for it. you're pretty must just 'sitting in' on it.

I always have wished that I had been exposed to a greater number of foreign languages as a child. It bothers me that after a certain point in one's development, language learning becomes significantly more difficult and the native language becomes so strongly dominant.

Echo-chan713 07-20-2011 07:37 PM

I only know english

Azrael 07-20-2011 07:42 PM

It also bothers me that it's so hard to learn languages in the U.S. You're basically limited to Spanish and English unless you're lucky and can get something in high school. =/

Fey 07-20-2011 08:16 PM

well, it's not that you can't learn them because the 'main' language is dominant, it's literally that you can no longer hear certain sounds nor make your tongue/soft pallet form certain sounds. To this day I am pretty fluent in German, I understand a LOT of it, but I cannot get my mouth to make the words come out right.

But yeah, it does sorta piss me off that we focus so HARD on spanish in this country despite 1)it's NOT our national language and 2)there's a LOT more languages we should teach our young if we want them to be successful.

Azrael 07-20-2011 08:18 PM

I agree. I really wish that Middle Schools and High Schools offered more languages, but instead most of them are getting cut. Except, of course, spanish. -_-' The only reason it bothers me so much, is because we are adapting for them, learning their language, while a lot of them don't seem to bother trying to learn our language.
