I'm not actually a Pagan but I do on occasion talk to Pagans. The funny thing is one of my Bible Quizzing Leaders was Pagan. She was really cool and gave you chocolate if you got the question right. |

Lol, me neither. Though usually we go down to my nan's house, as she has a huuuuge garden and have a little bonfire, make a few 'wishes' (that's what my nan thinks anyway) and feast. It's a good time. That or we go to Blists hill victorian town (google it, it's awesome) and dress up. They always do the best stuff at Samhain.
If all else fails, me and Jenjen will drink to those passed and our ancestors. I love this time of year. I can already feel so much energy in the air and without the heat sapping my energy I get in a much better mood. |
Whereas i've joined a gym to try and raise my continually flagging energy levels. But i know what you mean, it's like it's just building and building in the air, lovely tension ;)
I tend to just set up an alter with photos and such like, not much else i can do. I'd love to go on a ghost hunt/walk though. *sighs dreamily* I always try to make the Jack 'O' Lantern though, way too much fun not to and my room always ends up smelling like roast pumpkin for weeks. smells lush. But i'm not sure if i can even do that this year; family staying with us and when it comes to my practices and beliefs my uncle is a real . . . you know what, put your own nasty word in there because i can't think of one right now. Though hopefully he'll be moving out soon ^.^ Oh, and i'm thinking of doing a home-learning course. Creative writing and proffessional Proof-reading. Ok, so technically that's two, but i figure the jobcentre can't complain about wasting time and money if i go for the second one too. They get funny like that. They'll be funny enough because i want to do this. |

I wish I knew somewhere around here to have a ghost hunt. I've got all the kit that's needed and I've got a friend with a semi professional camera so we could film it. Maybe next year.
Bah, people like that can go shove it. If I want nice smelling things I have nice smelling things. Noone stops me :D Plus it's a great excuse to make pumpkin pie. Noone can argue with pie. Do it. It's great to have on a CV, and fun too so I say go for it ^_^ Ooooooh do it Luna. Take lots of pictures too ^_^ If all else fails we can have an online get together :) |

I hope to actually see a ghost, this is going to be the first time to actually go somewhere haunted... Oh! I also got a torrot deck recently! And so far it's been accurate... As far as I can read. |
The tarot's fun, usually. I did readings in a shop for a few months. It's an intuition tool, you get better with use, as with everything. And they can be scarily accurate i know.
I think i gave that story on here a few pages back . . . *ponders* yeah i'm sure i did, hidden behind a Spoiler-button. Which deck have you got? |
I had a basic deck... Uhh... Don't remember what it was called, but then my brother and cousin got their hands on it and tried to use them. They even used the minor Arcana as playing cards!
After that just touching them felt wrong. They were all out of whack. Now I bought a Vampiric/gothic themed deck. |

I've seen a few spirits in my time. Most were nasty though. I have bad luck like that. Last big ghost hunt I went on my friend got a stone thrown at him in a sealed room and the thing jumped on him later. Poor lad shrieked. We fended it off but it shook him up a bit. We were in an old torture chamber so that explains a lot. |
Forgive me for saying this but.... COOOOOOOOL. I'd love to see a ghost, even a malevolent one. And you were in a torture chamber! That is so Cool!

And you're right, sometimes even if they ask permission the cards don't feel right. They need cleansing after this and it's always best to wrap them in cloth and/or keep them in a box away from prying eyes. The woman that the shop had asked to do the tarot before i volunteered asked my permission first, but they didn't feel right for several days. I found out later that she hated me because i was doing the tarot instead of her, even though she'd been given first refusal. Guess she somehow tainted them. They also feel wrong if you don't look after them. I've now got two of the original Mythic Tarot decks, the second passed to me from a friend, and she couldn't get it to feel right again. It had been majorly disrespected. If a tarot deck could be suicidal, this one was on the train tracks. But all it needed was a little TLC and within a few hours it already felt loads lighter. |

Basically I hail to the Aesir. The Gods and Goddesses of the Norse and Germanic folk.
Odin, Balder, Tyr, Thor, Freya, Idunn and many more. Idunn is whom I feel most connected with. She's very sweet, a bit naive and wholly uncomplicated. Her "job" is to look after the golden apples of Asgard, the Aesir eat these to stay young and beautiful. Immortal. |

I've got a friend who's a Norse witch; looks like a viking if you'd ever seen one. He prefers Baldurr though. Looks the part completely, old bear.
I hadn't thought i'd meet another, you get so many nowadays who are completely wiccan and/or nature-oriented, i haven't met another witch who's system uses the old gods in more than just a quick prayer in ages. It's awesome to meet you Wicked ^.^ And Keiko, you'd be amazed at how much the books can gloss over anyway. sometimes reading just isn't enough, you have to experience, ask questions, in order to learn. |

I've only been on Trisphee two.. maybe three days. Hence my lack of avatar. I'm posting like mad and collecting as much AU as I can so I can look spiffy. SPIFFY! Gallowsraven (love that name!) I've met a few other Asatruar/Heathens but there's not a whole lot of us. But! In less than two weeks I'll be seeing some of my friends who to varying degrees follow this path. We're going to have a bonfire, maybe a blot. Should be a very good time. Taiania - thanks for the welcome! I'm really very titillated about those names. When you say very old gods are we talking Old Ones? oO Not asking for names just curious. |
I envy you. I'm missing out on a roadtrip to Pembrookshire to see all the natural and ancient stone circles and such like around there because i have to do something on one of the days that i can't rearrange. *pouts*
and yeah, i love it too. I write fanfics to keep my writing skills sharp and it's a name i came up with for an OC character, just like it so much i keep using it ^.^ Little tip, head into the forum games section. For some that require one-word posts and that you won't get much aurum, but it will build up. I use it to top up my total, usually. Haven't in a while though . . . T.T |

I'd really like to get into a role play but I'm still dipping my toes in those waters. I know it's a good way to make AU and I can RP about as well as the average bear it's just a matter of finding one I'd like to get on board with and then.. getting on board with it. Bites that you don't get to go. Sounds amazing. If I knew someone who was going I'd make them forage for me. Bring me back sticks and bits of earth and things. Course I'd rather do that myself... and.. now I want to go forage. >< |

Like when my boyfriend lost his piece of kyanite somewhere in Caerleon, didn't see it for a week, came home and found it lying in the middle of the road. Odd, but true. You could always ask to be given it back as well. Myself, my "patron" is the Lady of flames, war and healing of the Kemite pantheon, and i am a Kemite (mainly; i do call on some others occasionally) witch. |

Fred the mouse was back in the house last night. My cat Boo brings him in, chases him for a few days, before dad catches him and releases him outside. It's always the same mouse. I think they're friends... My cat is odd, and a little awesome. |
