Aye. Poodles are water fowl dogs, used to hunt and retrieve Ducks, geese, (swan), etc. Their dense curled fur repels water, and their webbed toes aids in swimming. All dogs have a purpouse (minus these muts people call dogs nowadays). Take the Rottweiler for example. It's used as a guard dog nowadays, but it was origionally the Rottweiler Shephepherd and used to herd sheep.
